Awesome and beautiful. Good mix of closeups and distance, day and night, with no talking or music to hide the sounds of the eruption. I appreciated the lack of shaking camera too.
My grandmother " nana" was raised at the foot of Etna. I remember sitting on the patio with her in the summer, eating fresh tomatoes and her telling me stories of the old country including Etna. She was born in 1874 and came to America after 1900. Giuseppina was her name and my grandfather was Nicolo. I will never forget them.
@@Rotisiv The etymology of the name Etna would seem to derive from the toponym Aἴτνα (Aitna) which would derive from the Greek verb αἴθω àithō, that is "to burn". Etna was in fact known by the Greeks as Αἴτνη (Àitnē) and by the Romans as Aetna.

Great camera work. The detail you showed us was fantastic as was being able to hear the sounds! Thank you for letting us share such a spectacle. I only wish I was there to see for myself.
In Greek Mythology, it says that Zeus defeated Typhon who is the father of Monsters by managing to trap him underneath Mount Etna. When Mount Etna starts spitting out lava, it's Typhon trying to get out.
I went to this volcano 🌋 on 2017 but it wasn’t erupting. But then I went to Stromboli and saw the eruption from a Ship 🛳 at night. It was the most beautiful thing I ever seen in my entire life!
Images fantastiques !!! Merci de nous partager ça ! C'est si beau qu'on en oublie que c'est dangereux ! Un véritable spectacle : je ne m'en lasserai jamais ... 💖💖👍👍
I appreciate all the elements this volcano showed. The different kids of smoke, paraclispia heat coming down the mountain, the train of lava, and the sound. I appreciate the sound specially. I don't think I've ever heard it before.
Incredible footage. Thought I was crazy to love watch volcanoes and tornadoes, hurricanes . I find them all fascinating especially with such wonderful footage. Love lightening too! Lol Thanks again!
I climbed Etna in 1980 something - a little old lady was selling half bottles of Sicilian red Etna wine (I still have!) and I had collected a little black rock 🪨 as a souvenir too….it’ll be a while before anyone is selling wine near the top now I hope!! Stunning footage!
Fun fact Greek Legends say that the reason that volcano's so active is because it's the prison of typhon, a monstrous giant so powerful not even the gods or zeus himself could beat him, but zeus had a 2nd chance for victory when the fates poisoned typhon with a fruit that caused him to loose strength but was alive & immortal, legends also say he & his wife echina ( a snake woman) are the mother & father of monsters, giving birth to all the monsters in greek mythology, hydras, chimeras, sphinx, Cerberus, you name it
Just @ Mt St Helens last week--June 26, 2022--yet didn't see anything as cool as this. Did see a herd of white mountain goats, which I'd never seen before on top of Harry's Ridge.
Great video! It was very interesting and to hear the explosion is great. We were there 3 days before the eruption and she was just letting off some steam. Sorry we missed this
Fun fact!: When revenge of the sith was being filmed, they took some shots of lava flowing down the sides of Etna when it was erupting. So that's where the real lava is from.
It kinda looks as though the whole volcanic mountain is about to be blown to smithereens. This hopefully (🙏) will not happen this the reasons for so many active vents on and around the mountain. Instead of just one small vent with gases & magmatic matter been bottled up to a point of 'mountain go "ka-boom!"' so to speak brilliant post🌋🌋🌈🌋🌋
Imagine when earth began these eruptions went on for hundreds of thousands of years all over the world (if not millions) creating a atmosphere so thick it rained for hundreds of thousands of years more.
Great video. How much carbon is being put into the atmosphere? Why isn't some government putting a carbon tax on this? You have to let Trudeau get a handle on this.
Awesome and beautiful. Good mix of closeups and distance, day and night, with no talking or music to hide the sounds of the eruption. I appreciated the lack of shaking camera too.
I agree, thanks for letting us hear Etna instead of music!
Beautiful ???? You better find out what's going on underneath our feet,. Bon Voyage!!!!

I 👍 totally agree. If something like this can happen without knowing, it just happens. Whatelse is going on that we don't know.
Sorta sounds & looks as though the earth is definitely alive and kicking. 'firebreathing planet!'🌋🌈🌋
So mesmerizing, beautiful yet terrifying. Amazing footage!
its amazing how something as deadly as a volcano can be so beautiful
This is amazing! Thank you!

How could one possibly question the presence of THE LORD, our creator, while viewing this majestic spectacle.....

All of this prevents earthquakes!
amazing fireworks, how close were you? How did you avoid being evaporated ?
Well, it is all happening. Will something unknown manifest?
It is like a message from the gods.
neat seeing that fissure open and cause a pyroclastic flow
It’s almost like the lava is coming in waves hitting the shoreline. The way it splashed out.
This is just fucking spectacular, especially the end. I wish i could've seen it irl.
👍 That's amazing !
It's so deadly .but it's very amusing to I personally love watching volcanoes
Woah that's cooool
