    I’m a Guatemalan living in Canada 🇨🇦. I’ve witnessed the eruption of Pacaya Volcano back in 1998 it was so scary but magnificent at the same time

      The ash ejected from volcanoes can carry a significant static charge, resulting in some truly spectacular lightning displays as it explodes outward.
      If Roman mythology is to be believed, such displays are the forge-god Vulcan - the namesake of the island of Vulcano, which is in turn the namesake of ALL volcanoes - test firing the thunderbolts he forges for Jupiter.

      @@masamune.. I’m metric; I can picture 100m/s pretty easily but can’t do 224mph; if you’re native to the imperial system, can you imagine 224mph? Genuine question.
