Holy cow you are not kidding about the "retro" pot. I was just over at my grandmother's house today and she has this SAME pot, if that thing is a Pyrex dish it's an original. But she has used her for decades and refuses to use anything else, says it doesn't impart flavors into soups, but if you think about it, it makes sense since it's not metal.
Had this tonight and it was so good! Didn't have apple juice so I used apple cider. The ribs were flavorful and delicious. The dressing for the salad is amazing and the egg came out so nice and fluffy. Went wonderfully with rice.
