NIce and clean setup, I have done very similar but for my cells they are large vertical banks. ill send a pic. I have 3d printed tops and bottoms and 6mm bakelite sandwiched between cells. i also am running the version 14 hardware and have also in the last three days updated to 14.20. always telling me the batt is at 100% soc with cells though at 3.2v per cell average. care to share your settings pls
Nice job, just wondering why the 4 pole mcb. Don’t worry, I’ve just read the other comments. I’m only just finding out about bidirectional MCBs here in UK. Have they been a thing over there very long or is OZ also just getting into them. Cheers.
Have you experienced the issue where if you turn off the batteries for a few days (not sure how long exactly) the BMS will lose all of its settings for LiFePO4 and revert back to Li-Ion? It will change your maximum charge to 4.2V!!!!! You can see this explained in the latest Off-Grid Garage video. I have been waiting to buy one of these off AliExpress but they keep saying "Preorder". I guess that was a good thing. Now, I think I will wait tile they get this latest issue fixed.
I have seen Andy's video, and I have not powered down the BMS to see what happens, there is an update to fix this issue and I think the default settings will change from Lithium Ion to LTO as part of that update
@@sjdtmv Yeh, i just noticed a comment on Andy's video showing a bug fix log firmware 14.17 from JK supposedly fixing this problem and like you said also changing the default to LiFePO4. I hope that it's true. I am waiting for these to go back on sale.
My hat's off to you sir! Excellent design and workmanship! Would you be so kind as to say where you obtained the box and how you made such clean cuts for the openings for the connectors and display?
Merci d'avance. Pascal

Nice built, Ross. Love the stainless battery boxes!
Thanks Andy, but they are not stainless they are gal sheet metal, keep up the good work on the JK BMS
@@sjdtmv Ah, right, I thought, you said stainless. They look fantastic!

Thanks for sharing Ross, Very neat and tide Well done 👍
Very cool, and nice tour of your system.
Yeah, very neat and clearly well thought through.
Thanks

Thanks, I have never come across them being use in DIY solar on RUclips yet.

Just updated to v14.20 that has tested so far with no bugs

I am a Welder-Boilermaker and made the boxes myself at home, so working with steel is 2nd nature to me
Hi, UK here...can you explain the orange connector block please ? Thanks...Awesome looking build btw, impressive stuff !
I have updated the description to include some parts
Great job on your battery build. What inverter are you using and have you gotten this BMS to communicate with your inverter?
Will setup on a Victron
@@sjdtmv Cool. Do keep us posted on your progress. These new JK BMS devices are really interesting.
watching from Melbourne, can you please provide the battery box link please for 16 EVE 304ah cells and same JK bms. thanks
These battery boxes are handmade by myself, they are not over the shelf item, they are of my own design
