Thanks to this guy for showing how to replace the blade... However, I wish I'd bought a different model. The Rapid 2200 really struggles to do a decent job. I have a large also shredder which I use for twigs and branches which does a perfect job, but this Bosch model is the biggest waste of money.
The Reason I showed replacement to new blade was due my old blade had been damage and bent, there unsafe for just sharpening. blades can be sharpened but should be inspected for any defects making them unsafe for use before the old blade is reinstated. the removal and reinstallation procedure is the same. NEVER USE DEFECTIVE OR UNSAFE PARTS OR EQUIPMENT.
@@bluetrianglehgvtraining9700 Thanks. That blade is pretty thick, you shoul drive a truck over it to bend it. Anyway, with new blade being over $25, and considering how fast it dulls, it is just not worth buying new blades over and over again. I just bought the whole shredder for the cost of 6 new blades. I am also getting electric wet grinder, with 8 inches grinding wheel, for under $100. That's how I plan to sharpen the blade effortlesly
I am disappointed with the shredder. It just strips any wood bits and does not shred it and all one is left with lots of stringy woody bits. Useless! I regretted buying it
Thank you very much - your Video helped me a lot

I have had one for a couple of days. The shredder seems to chop the fresh branches finely. But older branches not finely sliced.
Hello, do you recommend this machine?
I have had this for 5 years and it has done fine for me. I would get another if needed
@@bluetrianglehgvtraining9700 thanks, meanwhile I've bought a makita 2500.
Why a new blade, the one you have is reversible !
and after you have blunted both sides you can re-sharpen using a file
I don't know why but the bolt for the safety cover has a plastic blank which is stopping the switch from working.
To stop fools starting the motor while the blades are exposed !
My shredder is 2200
