Was at this show with my entire family, mom dad sister cousins aunt and uncle, i will never forget when he says "once in a while when its good, it'll feel like it should, when they're all still around, and you're still safe and sound, and you don't miss a thing," we kind of all looked at each other with the same look and all understood that we were living that line in that moment.
I was there too. Madison Square Garden turned into a cathedral during this song. 20 thousand people singing in unison. I will never forget that magical night.
I remember hearing him say “the world liked you as a kid but needs you as an adult” and I never thought I’d hear him say it again, so thank you for this video.
John has learned to become more relate-able in his monologues. Well done JM....great segue. Bridging Artist and Entertainer takes a lot more work than you think. Crossing over to Storyteller is another level.
thank you for this video. I was at this concert and that speech is forever in my memory, but it feels amazing to know that I can relive it whenever I need to.
The train is time. You can't stop time and the experiences you come across as you roll down the tracks. You just have to keep on rolling. While I'm a Christian, too, I realized what the song is really about.
@@jdstearman Thanks for sharing!! :) That is a deduction that is valid and to the point. Forgive me for not being as clear! I added a quip that could've been confusing and didn't add much context. My post was really about the fact that there is a train in the first place. That, as a Christian, we know that in Christ insofar as our friends and family are indeed in Him," the train actually has stopped. We will certainly see them again and experience eternal life, love and fellowship with them and The Blessed Trinity along with the whole family of God! None of wants to grow old because that is a sign that death is coming. However in Christ death has been defeated. That's why I posted my comment! Grace and Peace!
Behind the stage seats are regrettable. I've done this before and the whole time you're just trying to convince yourself it's fine and you're enjoying the show...but it honestly sucks. 😕

It has to be a really great feeling hearing thousands of voices singing your song back to you.

This is seriously one of the most beautiful and bittersweet songs ever written. So many emotions
He is so emocional and specially when he sang "I don't want to see my parents go..." THIS WAS AN UNIQUE CONCERT

His speeches before many of his songs are so genuine. Real 👍
the monologue before the song was just as amazing as the song, wow. it's nice to feel you're not alone feeling like that.

What a song, I love how the audience sings along with John. He is one of a kind.

Christ has made it possible for the train to stop. Call on His Name!

It's good to believe in things. But we are not living in the past anymore.
