Normally with the test footage there is no frame of reference, with that one you can see a really wide black line on the side of the 'stem' of the mushroom cloud, which happens to be a full sized naval vessel, and how puny that ship looks, when you realize the bomb they used wasn't all that powerful for what can be made, scary

The main point of the blast, and it doesn’t go very far. - The most impactful part of a nuclear explosion is the shockwave that shoots out of the explosion, which destroys buildings and wrecks everything. And then the radiation as it falls back to the earth, is what causes the land, water, food, etc. around it to become unusable and also creates a large area human life cannot survive in or will greatly suffer. So to answer your question more directly, the blast does move far. It’s a shockwave, not that stem you can see. The stem is where the explosion occurred, and the pressure explodes outwards into that shockwave. I hope this makes sense.
