I'm not gonna lie you set yourselves up by listening to this after big conspiracy. It's definitely a decent album with more than a few bangers, but Big Conspiracy is like the greatest album out of UK Rap, so you have a crazy crazy high standard of J Hus in your head
Seeing how unimpressed with this is too funny to me 😂 cuz we look at it like its vibrations of gold but i guess u dont have the nostalgia we have being in the uk at the time, would be interesting if he dropped this now how the uk would feel about it but either way id still say classic for us i enjoyed the vid tho and the honesty keep it up🔥
I think it’s hard to appreciate this album listening to it for the first time compared to listening to it when it first dropped. J Hus was the golden boy when this landed, he was the king of the vibes/party anthems. I think this album epitomises that sound for that time and probably actually wouldn’t be as loved by Uk listeners if he dropped it now. It was a perfect album for that time and its nostalgia is probably why it’s still so loved. J Hus isn’t necessarily a lyrical genius, his uniqueness is more due to his wit and his lingo/style which resonates with Uk listeners because the phrases and humour is what we live with on a day to day . I can see why you guys may not mess with this Album. His Daily duppy part 2 is probably the best lyrical version of Hus you’ll see.
J Hus hasn’t grown up his latest project is even more sexual than this. Jae 5 didn’t produce it because he said he wanted to produce something serious like big conspiracy but Hus didn’t wanna go for that sort of project again
