Hey Ann, I am one of your's old subscriber and we had a long journey this year with your guidance. I was accepted at PISA and now the application for DSU is open . For DSU application the required documents must be send to Italy using courier services within the deadline. Here is the problem, the family income certificate which I have to send must be legalized after authentication and translation through the Italian Embassy but the appointment slot is full this year and If I manage to secure one the process of submitting and receiving the document take's above 1 month and half. After contacting the DSU regional committee they replied that "you need either a certificate issued directly by the Italian Embassy in your country or by your country Consulate in Italy," Can I send the authenticated family income letter to someone in Italy with power of attorney to legalize my document behalf of me. Do you know someone who have done in this way ?. Because I can't survive without this scholarship. Thanks Ann for your long dedication of guidance.
Thank you for writing to me. Congratulations on getting accepted to Pisa. Now, send your local embassy consulate in Italy an email with all the details. They will tell you how to get the documents to them ( by mail, email etc) which they will generate the documents using their letterheads after having confirm everything you have stated in the documents sent to them. Once they get it done, the only problem will be getting in legalised by the prefettura in Pisa. But get through the embassy process and while doing that try asking the embassy if they can help with the legalization of the documents. If the document is generated here in Italy by your consulate, it’s only the prefettura that can legalise. Do reach out to me by email if you need further clarification
