A girl in my biology class thought that I was north Korean and threatened to put me in jail. She also used me to get to her boyfriend. She said if I didn't have a boyfriend she'll eat me. She even made my sister's friend cry. She also humiliated me and invaded my personal space. She also discriminated me because I'm Asian and I'm shorter than her. She also called me fat.

people have a tendency to test other people , like some one whom you dont like make a comment which is attacking your image , then they wait to see your reaction whether you will act violently or will you say an equally witty comment in return it has happened a lot with me , always keep a pack of witty comebacks in your mind it will show people or atleast make people believe that you are no push over and it is better than physical violence

I was bullied for most of my childhood, one of my teachers even abused me by pulling at my hair when I gave a wrong answer. I had no idea that this was wrong until I was older and it had all stopped, so I never told anyone..

When I was a young kid, somewhere around the age of 8, I used to be bullied by another kid. Years later when I was 20, we happened to meet at a social gathering. He then proceeded to apologize to me about his past bullying, and I was able to forgive him. It was a very good experience.
I've been bullied since kindergarten. it's not fun. my self esteem is so low, I don't even want to make new friends in fear they will bully me. I have been spread horrible rumors about myself. when he listed the categories I have been bullied for race, religion, looks, weight, height. and more. I feel scared to go to middle school. I know it will get worse.

I used to be bullied when I was in NJ because I'm autistic and the bullies were jealous of my grades since they had failing grades and I always made the honor roll. But soon after I moved back to NY, it all stopped. Having a much better life now than in NJ.

I spent a big chunk of my childhood bullied. that's mostly because my parents were divorced and I was the new kid. at the time I'd just moved to MN from CA and people in MN are not very friendly to outsiders.

Your wife will consider you a coward and your kids the same, they will lose trust in you and treat like they need to protect you. I was definitely bullied growing up. I was beat up, made fun of for my appearance and race. It made me have thick skin but now i don't tolerate bulling for anyone at any age. I step up for anyone that I see being bullied and put people in there place.

I really hope that bullies can understand once, how they influence the life of the bullied ones. For the bullies it's just a short moment when they harass someone. The bullied one thinks about it every day, every single morning after getting up. But even after school is over things like depression/ fear of others stay and so do the memories.
If people would think more about that, maybe bully couldn't be stopped, but there could be other persons who actually defend the bullied one and stop being just bystanders.

as someone who goes to an all-boys school it is *very* hard to tell the difference between joking around and bullying because everyone just beats the shit out of each other and take the piss out of each other and make fun of each other for the hell of it and no one reacts badly if they don't like it because no one wants to seem "weak" even if they are.
As someone who used to be bullied. You need to know why they're bullying you, there has to be a reason. And whatever that reason may be, you need to change and improve yourself, atleast strengthen your weaknesses and try to beat them mentally or physically.
I chose the physical path and they never looked at me the same way again...

The problem with society is that we're taught victims are somehow responsible for being bullied, rather than actually punishing the bullies. Most of the time the bullies just some downplayed punishment like detention or something because schools are scared of getting a bad rep

When I was young, verbal response is the most I did. However, I snapped one day and I physically respond my bully. I won that fight, but the rest of my year was ruined because of my school's zero tolerance policy, they don't distinguish between bullies and victims, even for self-defense.

I was bullied during elementary school and I did what all adults told me was to tell on the teacher. I have to say they were absolutely useless they never did anything besides saying "Hey don't do that anymore!" and so they never stopped, because kids don't understand those words or message behind it. Which resulted in me fighting for myself in middle school where every year I end up physically fighting the bully, as a result, we all got in troubled and yub including me too for "defending myself". They bullying stopped as I went into high school and now im a freshmen college. But those memories still stayed with me.

I get bullied all the time. But I am fast and a good fighter so I can defend myself and also I do homeschool now. When I was at normal schools I had no friends and sometimes I had to fight groups of bullies, so I would have to be wise and tactical to win in that situation.

I'm happy to see I'm not alone in the comment section. But danm man watching this help me but made me mad because of the mistakes I made back then. Over time I forgive myself for letting it go on so long but I didn't expect all these emotions to come back up.
I've been bullied since I was a kid and it varied over the years on what I was bullied for. Smallest percentage of it was jealousy and bruised egos and the largest being my love for Star Wars and liking certain bands, like Skillet and Gloryhammer for example. The rest in between was over being a bookworm or how I looked. From elementary school to high school, I tried walking away and getting adults involved but it only got worse and I ended up getting into fights and bullies backed off afterwards. Only two still bothered me into high school and one of them I can honestly admit to nearly getting into a fight. I still get bullied off and on but it's mostly over my taste in music, writing stories, and refusing to drink alcohol due to personal family history of alcoholics. Unfortunately, one of those bullies happens to be my cousin. I don't fight anymore but I have been tempted. The only fortunate thing about the bullying I face nowadays is that karma has my back big time.

I agree, when I was bullied in primary school, my bullies pretended to be my friend, they used threats to make me do things to them but also used the that I was very loyal to my ‘close’ friends... I was also VERYYYY naive...

I got bullied in middle school until I had enough of this one kid's shit and in the heat of the adrenaline, I quickly grabbed him by the head and slammed his face against my kneecap. He fell down kind of screaming in pain because his nose was broken but in the most brutal and most savage way, I grabbed him by the head again and slammed his face against the floor. His buddies just stood there and didn't even help their friend. His face was all bloodied up and it was pretty obvious. Like I had nothing but hatred for this dude, and I don't know how but I didn't get reported by him nor his friends. Safe to say that they ever messed with me ever again, not even make eye contact in the hallways. To this day, I still don't regret a thing.

Sure bullying is wrong, but it’s a necessary part of life, and has positive consequences too.
People will always seek to dominate others; that is just a manifestation of the natural order of things.
It is definitely encouraged for the person being bullied to stand up for themselves, defend themselves, show others what you are capable of. Standing up to the bully can prevent future bullying.
Believe it or not these experiences can make you stronger.
The playing field will never be leveled. If you want to level the playing field, I would kindly offer you a free helicopter ride.
PS I was bullied and those experiences made me a stronger person.
I also feel that the term “bullying” is really broad.

I have Tourette Syndrome and I’ve been bullied for a very long time but it never got this bad until recently. I’m glad I have my friends to be there for me and to stand up for me. I’ve had to take a pair of scissors away from one of my friends because she was overhearing someone talking horrible about me. We told the teacher after that. The teachers don’t always do anything, but at least I have friends I trust that help me through school, whether it be with my disability, or with the bullying.
I've been bullied at school, after about 8 years of it I started having panic attacks, anxiety and depression. At one point I had even suicidal thoughts. It's been 14 years since I finished school but I still have anxiety to a point that I can't have a job and get really super tense even if I go shopping alone. Depression never left me, it just goes up and down. I did report bullying at the time but no one cared, my mom did speak to the teacher but that just got me bullied more so I just stayed quiet and hid my bruises. The worst thing is, the teacher knew and saw what was happening and never stopped it. Victims of bullies sometimes suffer for the rest of their life, so please, if you see someone being bullied, help them and to the bullies I'll say...I hope one day you'll be bullied, so then maybe you'll know how it feels.

I thought everything was getting better and I was starting to get liked more because I finally had more friends and talked to more people. Then I heard a bunch of rumors about me and just people talking about me in general, and people would be extremely rude to me or just make fun of me, some even would purposely try to humiliate me for some reason. I even started crying in a bathroom stall inside of the gym locker room in school just because it was so frustrating trying to be nice to someone who wouldn't be back, and everyone kept thinking I was weird despite my desperate attempts to be a nice and friendly person snd have people uncomfortable around me. I'm not someone that's too interested in how others think of me, although that might change, because I feel like nobody will ever listen to me or nobody will care about anything I do or I just can't be nice or help someone because they'll never notice or feel happy. I just want to make others happy but all that happens is that others just make me sad. I. Hate. Middle. School. So. Much.

Cyber bullying is not an issue. If you are getting DMs on social media, block them and remove the chat. If you can’t block them, turn off your computer/phone. Also, you mentioned texts. Why would you give the bully your number? You can’t be that dumb. And let’s say that this bully got your number through others mean. Block their number! It’s really quite simple
You're misunderstanding, completely. You can easily cyber bully someone even without directly interacting with them. Turning off your computer or phone won't stop them from posting or texting lies about you online for others to see.

I seriously don't understand how people can be affected by verbal and cyber bullying. Like bro, their opinions have zero power over you. And if you're being cyber bullied there are SO many ways to stop it. Like create a new account with a fake name, block the bully, or realize it's pointless to take such stupid things to heart. Can someone help me understand?

So I have been bullied... a lot. Especially this school year. When I first got into comic books people would make fun of me for being different from most black females. While the girls were on the other side of the classroom hanging out with boys I was always reading a comic hoping one day to become a professional comic book artist. People always find me as a easy target to bully because I'm a depressed little loner. One time in science class we were doing this weather thing and the teacher asked me a question. I said the right answer but the teacher didn't hear me so I just said idk. Almost everyone didn't know the answer. But eventually someone figured it out and it was the answer that I had said. The people at my table started laughing at me and saying I dont pay attention and they still won't stop even to this day. I dont know what to do man, I dont.
I’m getting verbally bullied by my “friend” by calling me untrustworthy, mean, etc. also, when she was being mean to a friend of mine, I tried to stop her but she just told me to mind my own business and gave me glares when I walked by. Then, when I suck I it up and tell the teacher, she makes me feel *more* like the villain and make her feel *more* like the villain. She spreads rumors about me and cyber bullies me, talks behind my back... she also tries to steal my friends and tries to make my crush start crushing on someone else. I still haven’t gotten over her because she did so much to me that I have depression now because of her.
bullying and discrimination is an inevitable thing. it's in the air it's everywhere because human beings will always pick on the weak and different or even somebody that "makes them feel uncomfortable". bullying will never go away because it's in our DNA
why do people bully, because they could? because you "make me feel uncomfortable" so I'm going to make you feel uncomfortable. I'm sure the bullied doesn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable on purpose but you're definitely doing it on purpose.

If you do some of the things listed it is bully behavior. Its not to late tho. You can change that. It only takes one word to completely make or break someone.
Bullying should be proven like a mental disorder over a long period of time and with consistent showings not a 7 minute video and some thought
Someone tried bullying me in nursery. Didnt end well for him, he had to go hospital for jaw treatment because I rammed my little car into him.
I clicked on this video because I wasn't sure if this girl's behavior is bullying. It would make a lot more sense if you could see it physically or in person. The biggest example that brought me to this conclusion was my recent choir concert.
There are several different choirs at my high school, and for this concert, the 8th graders joined us. They were currently singing and the other choirs were waiting outside for them to be done. People at my school never seem to shut the 🤐 up. So one of the older boys told everyone to shhhhh and quiet down and they listened. Some time passed and the talking continued. This time, I tried to calm everyone down by trying to make them be quiet. And the girl who I was talking about said "No one's gonna listen to you" that was almost quoted. She said it in a negative attitude too.
And it's not just her. I feel discriminated by my grade (and most of my school) just because I'm annoying to them. Most of them act nice, but when teachers let them pick their partners, it's almost as if I've turned invisible. I'm rarely ever asked by someone else to be in their group. So much so that I will constantly ask the teacher to work on the assignment alone. I never mean to be annoying, it's just a coincidence that I'm a smart kid with a younger, funnier outlook on life.
I've tried not talking for days but I never last more than a few hours at a time.
I can't keep a diet for more than a day
I try to keep fit but I'm a RUclips- oholic.
I've tried standing up for myself but whenever I do, the person almost always reacts with confusion. Like they didn't do anything!
I'm lucky enough to have a perfect family who are still happily married and support me in everything, and I have three friends with similar issues they I can laugh with, but I'm still not happy.
I've gotten advice before, but I don't know what else to do!
