Season Four - Episode Ten: "Salud"
    Episode Overview:
Following his brutal fight with Walt, Jesse nervously joins Gus and Mike in Mexico to teach the cartel how to make Walt’s blue meth. Upon their arrival, however, it’s clear to Jesse that the cartel’s chief chemist is upset at having someone so young and without any formal scientific training overseeing his work. So, realizing that his survival depends on getting the upper hand, Jesse makes it clear that things will be done his way or not at all. Back in Albuquerque, Walt is nowhere to be found, so Skyler has no choice but to go ahead and give a clearly underwhelmed Walt, Jr. the used car they bought him for his birthday. And with funds provided by Skyler, lawyer Saul Goodman convinces Ted Beneke that a distant relative died and left him enough money to pay his back taxes.
Though Skyler, Marie and Hank are all at the birthday party, Walt’s absence is conspicuous. So, after excusing himself to go out with friends, Walt, Jr. heads to his dad’s condo instead. When his son finds him bloodied from his run-in with Jesse, Walt claims to have been in fight while gambling. Meanwhile, Jesse is stunned to discover that Gus has cut a deal that makes him the Mexican cartel’s property.
Upon learning that he used some of her money to lease a luxury car, Skyler drops in on Ted to remind him of his debt to the IRS. But when Ted insists on using the cash to restart his business instead, Skyler blurts out the truth about where it came from and insists that he settle his debt with the government. Finally, to celebrate the deal that will keep Jesse in Mexico indefinitely, Gus gives Don Eladio a bottle of very rare tequila. However, after taking precautions to protect himself, Gus watches the cartel boss and his henchmen fall victim to the deadly poison he placed inside the bottle, but not before Mike is shot in the ensuing battle. Leaving the bodies of Don Eladio and his men scattered around their lavish hacienda, Jesse rushes a very sick Gus and the gravely wounded Mike to safety.

Notice how Walt picks up something from someone he’s killed , crazy 8: cutting the crust off his sandwich , mike: take his drink with no ice , Gus : folding a towel for his knees when he pukes .... but something that was a direct similarity with gus was , Gus’s friend got killed by hector and don eladio by getting shot in the head , Gus was on the ground crying for his friend with half his face to the ground , what happens , Gus comes back with a plan , and kills them all .... Walter suffers the same thing , hank gets shot in the head , walts on the ground with half his face to the ground crying for hank the same exact way and what does Walt do , comes back with a plan and kills them all ... idk if it was a coincidence , or what hank would call it “poetic”

Jesse strangles Todd (just like Mike. He saw an opportunity, he jumped in. And they were similar situations too. Both victims were trying to figure out what was happening and not trying to fight the enemy). So I guess it is not a coincidence but a brilliant parallel between Walt,Gus and Jesse,Mike.
Edit: One other parallel is both mass murders take place in the enemy's headquarters.

If you want to be technical, the volume doesn't increase. It is a low pass filter with a keyframed increasing cut-off frequency. But yeah it is a cool effect.

General Popcorn I think Gus WAS the general. It doesn’t matter how old you are. Egyptians had 12 year old pharaohs that were SUCCESSFUL. If the dictator likes you, you’ll be in charge of the military. No one will argue a regime. To be fair everyone always comments on Gus being a master manipulator and strategist. Probably impressed Pinochet a ton
