This is my thing. I don’t agree with sports casters name calling to athletes but my thing is when they say it about men no one cares. And the insult he gave her had nothing to do with her being a woman.

Acho didn’t lie. Angel embraced the villain role last year and was even cocky with it also when everything was going well for her. She gotta take her L. People gotta stop coddling her because it’s not doing her any favors. When Caitlin Clark lost last year she took the L graciously and showed good sportsmanship and came back this year and avenged it. I respectfully disagree, Caitlyn didn’t receive death threats, Caitlyn who displayed the same behavior was called a passionate player. Angel was called a dirty, classless debutant. It is not the same. Now had Caitlyn been called unsportsmanlike for her behavior I would shut up. But she was praised for her taunts, she was praised for her passion now I have no problem with neither player. That moment where she's crying is from when the interviewer asked her what was going through her mind as her teammates stood up for her before in the interview (unprovoked), and to discuss what her journey has been like, what we don't get to see. She's answering the question she was given directly. The question she's answering is specifically asking her to talk about what she's been going through outside of basketball. The threats, ai stuff, etc. That isn't basketball hate. That's out of pocket stuff.
Every basketball question she answered head on, didn't make any excuses and gave credit where it's due. Then Acho somehow turned that 90 second clip into something totally different from the original context. He made it seem like she was making excuses for something. What I don't even know.

If she’s describing her journey, this has nothing to do with the game. This involves her personal life struggles. It would have impact on the game but her mindset to basketball and life.
