Exmouth is a popular destination for many reasons that I will explore in future videos, but today I concentrate on the seafront.
Join me on my sunny walk and see some of what’s on offer.
Exmouth is a very popular and very suitable destination for families with a long beach which is perfect for building sand castles, swimming, kite flying, paddle boarding, beach games etc

It’s changed a bit since I was taken on holiday there in the 50s and 60s but not too much. My best friend is from Exmouth originally and goes back often to see her family

Great way to start a video, with a giant ice cream. The work the RNLI does is amazing, on a beautiful day like that, people don't think they can get into trouble. So glad you got to paddle.
Thank you Faith! Yes, it was the best way to start with that ice cream 😊They really do a fantastic job! I saw a rescue on Sunday too by RNLI lifeguards. Really aware of them this year since filming at beaches.

What a lovely video ! I can imagine it’s as busy as Palmanova on a Sunday down there today! I love the idea of a lending library for beach toys. So needed here ! Another place to add onto my list !
I thought that about beach mats and beach umbrellas in Mallorca.... but would the local shopkeepers like it :)
Thank you so much Alex! Oh yes, I can imagine it was heaving today! My memories of it were a lot smaller than it actually was. I have only been a handful of times but i think I will go more regularly now. Yes, the beach toy lending library is an awesome idea! I think it should be rolled out everywhere 👍🏖
Great video. I really enjoy watching your videos, they're very pleasant and I enjoy your commentaries. Exmouth seafront reminds me of Weymouth. It would be nice to see your take on Weymouth seafront from the Pavillion to The Lookout cafe as the view there is spectacular!

Wow you have never been. I think you might really enjoy it. If you're wanting to come down when it's quiet and want the beach to yourself, end of September might be a good idea.

Loved it, loved it Louise. I liked the uptempo, upbeat and colourful feel to this video - you captured the spirit and atmosphere of Exmouth really well. And, as is your forte now, you gave potential visitors to the town hints and tips about staying, eating and drinking, as well as borrowing sandcastles. I was so impressed by the RNLI crews and the boats! It was really interesting to watch the launches. I saw an RNLI rescue while filming today too!
I really enjoyed this Louise, the idea of a toy lending library is something I've not heard of before but is a really good idea! I think I've only been down there once before so don't really remember much so it was nice to see the area again 🙂
Thank you Jesse! I have only been a handful of times or less and could not remember too much about it, except for doing a parkrun there fairly recently. It’s much bigger than I remembered and much sandier! I love the idea of the beach toy lending library too! Great recycling!
I love your seaside videos Louise, especially as it was a warm summer's day with an opening chocolate ice cream shot! I also liked the post box cover. Was it 2 seagulls and a seal? Anyway you got me thinking and reminiscing and I had to get my holiday list out! I think it was 1999 we visited Exmouth and the children played on some lovely four in a row slides in a park. I think it was where that park is opposite where the Ice Creamery is now (Queens Drive). The park is different now. We were having a camping holiday at Ladram Bay (east of Exmouth). Thank you :)

Oh wow! It’s nice to hear how Exmouth used to be and that it got you going on a trip down memory lane. There were some rides on the beach side which I did not include in the video. Also I filmed across the road from the ice cream place, but there was not much going on at the time so I did not include it. Oh, Ladram Bay is gorgeous! One of my first videos ( I think It was my second ever) shows it. I walked from Otterton to Budleigh Salterton via Ladram Bay!
