Could be the reason she died in a premature age. She had long life ahead of her..life where she would have seen her kids grow up right in front of her eyes and in her motherhood. I think I have my views changed about her. When I was younger we all wanted Diana's hairstyle. Now I question if her grace and charm was to lure as many men as possible in short life.

No one has told me this story before. Not in my ballpark of usual interest but still very interesting. I knew Diana was cool and that John can dance. The Reagan's manipulating Travolta into dancing with Diana was kind of weird. Seems like everyone was happy afterwards, at least. Thanks for creating and sharing! The writing in this one felt especially emotional, and I appreciated that.

What a beautiful memory. (Princess Diana had the same birthday as my oldest brother, July 1st. I was a RN hospital supervisor working nights, in a tiny rural town, the night she died. Watching the images unfold on TV in horror. Then one year later, to the day, I lost my brother at the age of 46. They were both taken too soon.) But That shining night, at the White House, it was Princess Diana that was the Star and Charles hated it.

I wish you'd shown me at least some clips of the dance. this guy doesn't even look like John... I do know she danced with him once and probably not so well... after all he was a legend and she was a sheltered little royal...at the time when she was still a loyal wife... before it all exploded. So it seems my memory got erased and I didnt remember about Diana much except that she died a tragic death according to media reports. Just now I saw a video that spoke about her contribution to the AIDS patients spesicifically. As a young person we were shown lot of adverts showing AIDS as a disease was spreading a lot and how it spread. Unhealthy sexual relations was prominent reason. Therefore so many people in our generation grew wary of sexual relations before marriage. Before us, many people got into pre marital unhealthier practices of sex. But by the time we or our next gen came, condoms got popularized as well. Diana played a huge role in all of that it seems. She was the face our country remembers and likes a lot for sure. Anyway she wanted to meet Mother Teresa like many others but missed to meet ber in Kolkata. Later she caught up with her in America. Both died in 1997 after meeting each other.
Now I am forced to question if she, her driver and her boyfriend really died in that accident? Seems fishy to me.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was discussed with Charles "people" and they suggested Travolta instead. He wouldn't have felt as threatened by him. In the UK he may have felt Travolta wouldn't attract as much attention. Charles tried to throw her around when he danced with her. I imagine he was showing his great skills while trying to mess her up. He hated the attention she received. In that I think he believes no one will ever feel Camilla is as important as he is.
Mother Teresa died around the same time Diana died. I remember that timeperiod because being a young person I noticed many famous people were dying in the world. Honestly I have never wanted to be Mother Teresa, just the thought of being like her or one of her gave me stress but Diana made us all like her. I dont want to be Mother Teresa. Both were extremely popular Christian women thay died around the same time. I cannot forget those years. So many famous people died one after another. And we could see that something strange was happening but we kept studying and leading our lives normally. We did notice though that unusually a lot of famous people were dying, people we saw or heard about from our parents or friends regularly. I dont know who to chose but I know one thing for sure I dont want to be Mother Teresa. I am sure about this thing and one more thing in my life that I cant write about but both go against traditional Christian thoughts. Will I too die soon?
