    What's going on guys, in this video you'll see what we do to get the most power out of this G37 as well as the equipment we use in-house to tune the cars we service!
    Using the latest uprev software we go over issues we faced tuning this g37 and how we corrected the issues.
    Made 318whp after tuning on a hot 97 degree Florida summer day on our dyno dynamics dyno. This will easily read over 325whp on a dynojet on a cooler day.

    I have a 2019 370Z sport coupe 6MT with about 45K miles on it. We discovered the same A/F characteristics(lean low and mid range with overly rich high end). My peak rwhp on a Dynojet was 282 hp @ 7200 rpm. After installing a Fast Intentions TDX and Stillen G3 long-tube CAI we got 302 peak rwhp and about a 7% gain in torque across the rev range. The low end A/F ratio was really lean at about 16:1 with the high-end running about 11.5:1. I think the hardware mods increased the airflow and volumetric efficiency, worsening the already too lean bottom-end and partially correcting the overly rich top-end. The reason that Nissan chose to calibrate the A/F ration in this matter is, I believe, for fuel economy and emissions compliance at low to mid rpms and safety from detonation at high rpm and load.
    After the tuner tweaked the A/F ratio across the rev range we got a healthy 14 to 14.5:1 at the low end and a steady 12.5 to 13:1 the rest of the way up. The tuner also listened to the knock sensors with a special amplified microphone and was able to tweak the timing across the rev range for best power with an adequate safety margin. The final result was 321 peak rwhp @ 7200 rpm and a pretty uniform 15% increase in torque across the whole rev range. The car is significantly stronger now off idle all the way up. I did lose a little mileage, as I expected I would. We're estimating that the engine is now producing about 378 peak hp at the crank. The car now produces more torque at the top end beyond 7200 rpm to engine cutoff than it did before at 7200 rpm, so the car's top speed is rev limited and not limited by torque drop off. It would have been interesting to see what kind of gains I would have gotten if I had put test pipes in it. The problem would have been emissions compliance here in California and the fact that the car would have been considerably louder. The car really sounds good now without being excessively loud.
    This is about it for engine mods for my Z with weight reduction and handling upgrades for the future. I did have a set of Hotchkis anti-roll bars installed on the front and rear and those did help to virtually eliminate body roll during cornering. The rear end is more lively now, with the turn in sharpened. Stainless steel braided brake lines were installed to help firm up the brake pedal feel. I'm expecting to ultimately be able to shed about 200 lb of weight off the car without butchering its appearance, since it is my daily driver.

      Dyno testing is not free lol don't waste your money seeing how much it is stock, just buy the mods slap them on then get a tune after

    It makes sense to me that a dual TB engine would make some noticeable gains with 3" CAI's. I would assume it's like putting a 6" TB on a single intake engine.

      They aren’t as good as the oem intakes. The oem are already really good. Admin makes the best. With a tune you’ll gain 15-25whp from his

      K&N drop in filters are actually proven to be the best and most consistent intake for the G37, search youtube there's an awesome channel dedicated to G37 that proves it with facts.
      CAI are good only for a short period but then the heatsoak kills the power.

      Remember that tests with CAI at shops are with a fan blowing directly on them, nowhere near like the real world where its not that strong and the air is hot from the outside and inside of the engine

      @@kingcobra3854 There is a lot wrong with your 2 posts....
      Have you never stuck your hand out a window at highway speed???? Trust me there is massive amounts of air-flow at higher speeds, far more than what you would see from a tiny shop fan like that. Also no matter what a fan is just pushing air that is present in the area... Which is just ambient air temperature... Unless your running some type of cooling system to lower temperatures below ambient temperature it can't drop below that point.
      The entire point of a CAI is to take in outside air which is many degrees cooler than inside an engine bay, colder air is more dense and thus has more oxygen present.
      More Oxygen more power, if you see any loss in power from a CAI it will be at the lower RPM's and most likely because of the longer intake path.
      Regardless the VQ37 is a NA motor that likes to rev, so It makes most of it's power at high RPM's which is where a CAI shines.
