- hello friends another topical tuesday where we go over the top posts on the lost ark game subreddit over the last week
this week it seems like most people are talking about ignite servers and t4 and lack of advertising + a mixture of the game not doing well which tbf its very clearly not

Its sg monetization policy. They dont care about having healthy rotating playerbase as it interferes with heavy fomo. T4 release is such a blatant money milking its actually wild. Ill just geartransfer my chars to t4 and take indefinite break
It's joever. Theres nothing AGS can do at this point and smilegate doesnt give a shit
Unless this is fixed with Ignite Servers, this is one of the main problems with T4 for new players:
-New players won't be able to take advantage of the Tier 4 changes because of how time gated it is to finally have all your engravings completed again (6x3).
-New players will have to go back to Tier 3 and still use the old engraving system support.
-Furthermore, I can see a lot of them complaining how they wasted gold and pheons trying to get 5x3+1 or +2 and bracelets, when they won't matter once you start investing in the Ark Passive (Tier 4).
-Tier 3 and Tier 4 are still using the old progression systems (honing), which means in Tier 3 you still need the old Tier 3 (the small ones) Orehas that are not worth investing in anymore.
-At this point not only new players, but also returning players will question the purpose of Ignite Servers if they will still be stuck in Tier 3 for a long time. They all will want to check how the Ark Passive and Advance Honing improve the experience, but not even in Tier 4 you can't take advantage of Advance Honing, which is objectively better than regular honing even from the standpoint of how less clicking there is and, to some extend, how cheaper it is.
-Trascendence and specially Elixirs still exist the way they are, which will be extremely annoying for new players.
-Bound Tier 3 gems can't be converted into Tier 4 gems (unless during the Ignite Server, you get directly bound Tier 4 gems).
-We don't know how much more p2w Tier 4 will be or if it'll stay the way it is like in KR.
In my opinion Engraving Support should have been integrated into the Ark Passive and the Ark Passive should have become the universal progression system across all tiers, making it so the player has a more streamline conversion to Tier 4 instead of feeling like they are giving up on their 5X3 +1/+2. That way, they won't fall into the trap of wasting gold and pheons buying Tier 3 accesories and rocks.
Also the same way should have happened to Advance Honing. They should let players interact with it from the very start and the Echidna eyes should unlock honing from +20 to +25 (the epic Echidna material should be deleted at this point).
But like I said, I don't know if all these changed will be available during the Ignite Servers, since they are a lot and I don't know if other players asked for this.
well the T4 is not a reset for new/returning players. that a really bad design usually a new season means welcoming new and returning players but here we got nothing.
yeah theres no way returned/new player can afford honing past 1600 ,they really need to hit 1620 for T4
unless those who got 200k bound gold from blooming mokokos

trans alone like eating 100k+ for 5 pieces max, and for the oldies we got compesation more for collecting los 30 for like 1 year +
@@devinsetiawan8863 yeah 200k well even 500k is probs not enough in the slightest for players to go from 1600 to t4 and aegir for the next progression in t4. between honing to 1620, adv honing in t3 so you dont have to in t4 with t4 mats, armour and wep trans, 35-40 set elixirs and a big one too is gems as having event gems is a crazy amount of dps loss in t4 compared to converting regular t3 gems to t4 ( a full set of converting t3 lvl 7 gems to lvl 5 t4 gems is about 5-10% more dps than if you are just running event gems. then like you said progression systems like cards is massive (even going from los 18 to 30 is 8% damage which is more than full wep trans and then demon damage on top of that is 6.2% at max)

you guys are applying wow logic to this, a new season in wow is lvl 0 to max and do all the content, in lost ark no, they need to cater to new players yes but the priority is mostly keeping all the current players too, a new season in loa means expanding the game for people who are actually progressed alreadsy
ive spent 600$ on gold just getting 2 characters ready for T4 if T4 incentivizes p2w even more i might just end up cutting my losses and say gg was fun. there is no way in hell i can afford to swipe that hard ever again just to meet the ilvl check for future raids let alone getting decent gems in T4 and getting ark passive up and running. was excited for T4 till i realized its just gonna be the same game with whales doing even more damage than you and then flaming cause your dps is bad i can already see it happening
Best thing to do at this point is to just quit the game. There is nothing new in T4. The whole thing is a whale bait. Same systems, same s**t as before, literally nothing new except for some basic changes here and there but its not enough and its never going to be enough.. its by design. No way its worth giving ur money to these money hungry corpos when they clearly dont give a f**k about the playerbase anymore.
yeah, I've already spend $200 on other games like wukong and space marine 2 and other cheap ones instead of LA and very happy man. I have more time to go to do stuff in real life as well instead of stuck doing daily chores and deal with toxic players. I've played soul like games and people said LA is hard but it's actually not the case, it's just the entire system is gear and exam based system and as far as grinding boils down to time or money. as they say, time is money.
2:30 imagine telling those new players, barely having enough time to play one character, that they need multiple alts to have enough gold to even begin chipping at progression
And that they need to do homework every day for 2-3 months to catchup to other players alts
which is not correct, as you need to invest more gold into your alts which they will not being able to generate back even playing them for 1 year + - the only reason to play multiple characters, is being able to play the game more. If you only play 1 character, you have nothing todo besides sidecontent after 2 days of each week.

I mean the perception of LA from most of the people I know is that theyve never even heard of it tbh. They dont have a preconceived notion of what its like because theyve literally never even heard of the game, lol.
Lost Ark marketing turns into Blizzard WoW or Final Fantasy marketing campaign because everyone from Lost Ark is either running to WoW or FF. I'm never into WoW or FF just what I've noticed so far.

AGS never made the best advertisement and the good Info came close to release. However, in the past month they announced it earlier, so I suppose end of this week we gonna hear the news. Will be definitly a Win - a big one this time :)
Advertising for wets to gatekeep new player and bussers to get new customers :D
The real problem is, a new player could start playing, grind all their time in to the game, get all these collectable, get as far as they can in honing, hell even could whale on getting caught up, they could someup get all the cards needed for their set even. (most of these is very unrealistic but just believe)... AND THEN!! they go to queue raids and... Oh youre this class? noty cya.
T4 is T3 all over again just with a small boost at the start but the same shit 100+k per book even worse Gems will cost like a 1M and you just grind all over again all day with at least 6 chars for the same rng results you got the past 2 years that's what we needed.
Thing is even after gettint los 18 i quit loa cause the playerbase i expirienced was super toxic couldnt do learning runs without getting insulted every time so im done and my friend is too the combat is the best ive played so im very sad about it !
Has been anti new player most of the time. I scratch my head on how they manage this game.
For me it looks like AGS wants to drop Lost Ark like they did it with New World and they hope the new MMO will etablish in the Market. What they dont see is that they need to invest alot more before an MMO has a fix place on the Western Gaming market and earn the money constantly. Especially today with so many Games on the Market. Also AGS not realizing what signals it sends to the overall playerbase of MMOs when they support a new MMO so much harder then they do it with Lost Ark. This tells the Lost Ark players they lost interrest in Lost Ark. That tells the playerbase of the newer game that this could also happen to them.
There is nothing ags can do anymore, they tried to follow a path that was based on a different comunity and enviroment, they could have done a lot of changes separating us from Kr, AGS doesn't want to drop the game but unfortunally it's too late (probably) to fix those issues
@@gonzalolopez3090 yeah i see your point. For me it just feels like they want to drop lost ark ofc it don't have to be like that. I hope they somehow will fix it together with SG but my hopes are not high.
@@f1nsher i mean there is a way to fix the game, and it is by changing how the game works at the base, the new servers must give new players los 30 a powerpass for 1620 and full trans, so they can progress more in the new server before connecting them with others without making them play for months to progress t3, because by the time they get to t4 we (my self included) will be t5 xD, honestly if ags decides to start changing the game by giving a maxed t3 character with cards and then change the progression in general i wouldn't be mad even if i have 5 characters 1620+ with los30 and spended a lot of time. This game can be saved, but not if we follow Kr, we have to get separated from them and have our own progression
