My friends dad had a new jet black 84 caprice in 1984 when I was 16 years old man that was such a nice car he said it would do 140mph it was my favorite car at that time.. This video just brought the memories back..

I just came across this channel for the first time and it's truly nice to see a a youtube creator that is 100% devoted to this full size box Chevrolets. I've never really been a Chevrolet fan but more of a Buick and Oldsmobile lover but the Caprice Classic was in my opinion their best looking car to date. Great video.

Someone in the 70s bought a Biscayne shell off Dad. He said that he was going to put his Pontiac together using the Chev body. Dad said it would work, except the curvature of the rear quarters would look wonky.
It turned out buddy was buying the shell to steal another car and swap in the VIN.

Hey guy, good to see you back on You Tube, I painted my jeep this morning well the front clip, First paint on a car since I was 13 that was45 years ago lol The jeep was a beater and i needed practice cause i have to paint the rear valance of the Camao, Son ran in the back of it. if i wanted to do a custom fiberglass floor in my truck can i fiberglass over the carpet with the methods you use on the door panels and such and have what i want?
Yes you can do that if you wanted to but I would use fleece because the carpet probably long hair fibers and it'll take more fiberglass resin

Basically the body didn't change from 80 to 89 (90?}, so switching out parts is doable.
What do you call a Euro model? 2:17.
The nose changed in 86. I think all the taxi packages became Caprices in 87, not 86 me thinks.
Fun fact: Dad gave me a rear door off a wagon to swap in. The bugger knew that the wagon doors were an inch shorter. To be a good sport, I bolted it on and went to the paint shop. They laughed. I almost convinced them to paint it just to prank Dad back.
1980-1985 Have the same front and rear clip. 1986 has the euro rear clip with the front clip with the emblem laying flat...the only Year with that clip. 1987-1990 has the euro front and rear clip....the big difference is the headlights

@@SprayWayCustoms the only other change was they changed the grill in 1981-85.
Because of the one piece style European style headlights. Euro just short for European. The headlights changed over the years with the GM cars.

Go from 6 pot tail to the Joker Tail or called Rear Ice lights

It's the same process.. just the bumper fillers will be different

I think you meant '86-90' because those Caprice taillights were used from 1986 to 1990, and not from 1987 to 1990.
Yes...I actually was going to do the front clip also. The 86 is the only one with the emblem laying flat
that looks a lot cleaner. what are your plans to fill the gap by the bumper ends?
I got some bumper fillers for the front and back I just haven't put them on yet....I'm gonna do all my body work first
I cut the bumper shock mounts on my 85 and re welded them shorter now my bumper looks like a roll pan front and back bumper

You'll have to change the bumper fillers also. I don't know if that's what you referring to but it'll work
Yea I grabbed the 86+ fillers and a new center filler I drilled the holes Ike you said the clip itself won’t sit flush with the car
