    I hope I never have to remove my controller but I've learned a couple of things from the video. 1. If you continually monkey around with your controller, put in a better gasket and 2. There's a new name for needle nose pliers. Good to know.

      Facts. The TFL Controller gasket will make your life A LOT easier. 💯

    Wait. I thought if the battery is ever disconnected from the controller, the GT bricks.
    Thank you for sharing your technique!

      It’s not this XT60 that does that. It’s the one from the battery to the BMS. Hope that helps clear things up! 🤙🏼⚡️🛠️

      @@fixmypev Ahhhh. Thank you very much for clearing that up.

    Onewheel just sent me a bill for my GT TONIGHT, said the controller module was not performing up to specifications. Does this mean that entire thing was bad? The GT died and would not turn back on.

      Future Motion generally replaces the entire controller because it’s easier/faster than doing the component-level troubleshooting and repairs (I would too if I had an endless number of replacements available haha).

    Great video! My GT seems to have bricked after a wheelslip. The only hint of life, is a faint single beep from the controller module when attempting to power it on. Think disconnecting and reconning the controller module may do the trick? Thanks man

      Ouch. Sorry to hear that. This has been being reported far too commonly lately. If your board is still under warranty, I suggest contacting Future Motion.

      hey @fireoutside, I'm having the same exact problem like you had. The same faint single beep happens everytime I click the power button but no signs of life coming to the board. Have you come to a solution to this problem? Thank you so much

    Thanks for this, might need to send mine somewhere to downgrade firmware so I can relevel for my WTF’s… bought it new with update already on it. Are there any versions of GT that can’t be downgraded?

      @fixmypev  3 месяца назад

      Haven’t found any yet, but that could easily change with new hardware revisions (if incompatible with 6109). What’s your hardware version?

    My one wheel GT ping pong itself against two concrete walls at the skate park and doesn't turn on. is it possible that a connector inside the controller became disconnected. there is no signs of life no lights nothing I have just ordered the t20 security torques bit to open it up to see if anything looks out of place. The only other thing I could think of is maybe the BMS got disconnected but is that something that happens often. anything would help thank you.

      Sorry to hear that! It’s definitely possible something could have disconnected. Or worse. Any updates?

    do you know if there is a 12v header on the board so i can add a gps tracker inside the control module

      Not sure. Haven’t checked for that before. Worth exploring though. 💯

    6:37 Content Creator Feedback: It was at this moment, just before suggesting I stick around for the tedious process of removing screws, I moved my mouse to the timeline bar. Then virtual you said off camera, "just increase the speed to 1.5%."
    This is a note to self, you can always instruct the audience, "Press the 'Shift plus greater than symbol' to speed this part up, then the 'lesser alligator symbol' to slow the video back down, if I end up talking to fast. If you are viewing on mobile, click the cog!"

    Is there an order to plug the cables back in?

    • @fixmypev
      @fixmypev  2 месяца назад

      My preference is to plug in the data connector, headlight connector, and power button connector (any order) followed by the controller XT60. Make sure you don’t press the power button prior to connecting the controller XT60.

      Yes. The process is nearly identical on the Pint.

    So let me get something straight, correct me if im wrong. Once I update, there is no way to digitally level my board OR roll back to do so and then forward again (this is excluding custom shaping tilt bc doesn't it drain the battery when your pushing it harder? Or something?)

    • @fixmypev
      @fixmypev  6 месяцев назад

      It depends on the model of your Onewheel, but the short answer is yes. Once you update, you are no longer able to level the board or rollback using a web app like ReWheel.

    Have you discovered a pattern?, are these controller modules breaking in the same spot on multiple boards?

    • @fixmypev
      @fixmypev  6 месяцев назад +1

      If by “breaking” you mean falling prey to the malicious firmware updates FM has been releasing, the answer is yes. 😬
