  • In this video I provide an overview of all of the changes made to this years Honda Ridgeline! There were a good amount of changes (maybe not as many as some hoped) made to this midsized truck this year that puts it above all of the others. Enjoy the video and check out my channel!

67, retired. Two time Honda sedan owner, considering the Ridgeline, the gentleman’s truck.

Thank you for your comment! I think you would love the Ridgeline, nothing too fancy but is very reliable 🙂and yes! Not an old man’s truck, a gentleman’s truck is a better way to put it!

I’m 53, retired and am thinking of getting one. While I don’t think I’m old, whenever I see a Ridgeline I see it driven by a middle aged guy (or older). By the time you get to that age you are usually financially secure, practical and don’t give a S**t what anyone else thinks. If you can buy whatever you want and end up with a Ridgeline, that says a lot about the vehicle.

Very good point! I definitely agree with you, What are you driving currently? Thanks for the comment!

I’m 40 y/o police officer. I’ve owned a 2007 RTL Ridgeline for almost 16 years now. The drive train has held up great so far but now the body is rusting everywhere. Chicago winters unfortunately and it was always parked outside. I’m interested in replacing it with the 2024 Ridgeline but I’m not sure about that tow rating. I might go for the new Tacoma that can tow over 6500 pounds.

Thank you for your comment! The winters are awfully tough on the vehicles, I am from MN and it’s impossible to keep them from the rust! The Tacoma does give a big improvement on the towing, do you tow much? I’m sure you’d love the Ridgeline but if you need more towing ability sounds like Tacoma is the ticket 🙂

I don't tow much but I want to have the option. I've been thinking of getting a travel trailer and for a family of four, I don't think I'll be able to get one small enough to not exceed the 5000 capacity of the Ridge.

I don't own a Ridgeline, but I want one. This may be the year. I'm 59 and own 3 different cars for different purposes. To me, the Ridgeline is kind of a Swiss army knife. It can do everything well, but not any one thing as good as a specialized vehicle. That's fine with me. I need a sedan, I need a truck, and I need AWD with a lower CG for mountain snow/ice. Ridgeline is perfect!

Thank you very much for your comment🙂 I completely agree with you, the Ridgeline can do so many things decently well for sure. I think this should be your year!

Age 33 here. Bought a type R last year instead of the Ridgeline, Planning to pick one up for my electrical job, also to toss beers and bikes in the back easily to get to some trails. I don't need a big truck for my lifestyle, just something basic.
Side note: Glad I waited because if the new Ridgeline has the same tech as the Type R It will be seamless, overall good QoL improvements to freshen this thing up before they do a full redesign in the next couple years.

Thank you for the comment! I think you will really enjoy it, it’s nothing too fancy but is everything you need in a truck

I saw a build list comparison with what the Trailsport adds to the RTL and it doesn't look like we are losing much other than some LED lighting in the bed and the bed audio system is going away. If those features matter to you you still have time to get an RTL E but I'm holding out for the Trailsport. Im 46, a single teacher with a dog and the Ridgeline is just as much truck as I need. I can toss my bike or hunting gear in the back (and deer if I get luck) and get to the places where I need to go. I'm not sure about the price yet but Im guessing $45-$47K. As for the "old man image" this truck has, I'm fine with that as I am buying this for the long haul and may be one of the last vehicles I buy. It gets decent gas mileage, has AWD for Nebraskas unpredictable weather and has the features I can be happy with for about the price of a Colorado Z71 or Ranger.

Thank you for your comment! We were in Nebraska for the last year and my ridgeline handled it very well, you never know what you're going to get with that state!

My dads getting one mainly because fuel economy and reliability and he just needs to tow his 4wheeler every now and then. Another plus is its easier for him to get in and out of then either a tacoma or Colorado. Real world test these can hit 25 mpg pretty and they have a in bed trunk for groceries or other accessories. It’s a no brainer if you don’t tow that heavy and are looking for an everyday driver that is efficient and reliable.

How are the Ridgeline Black Edition seats/interior holding up with the dogs?

I don't think the new instrument cluster is ALL digital. Speedo is still analog, thank goodness.
