As usual -- she is simply a sublime singer and musician
I love how she fully learns into it with masterfully calibrated pathos, chewing every word with highly effective diction and a voice that seems that come from the womb of the earth.
Eine Dynamik,die oft versucht doch nie erreicht wird. Selten und kraftvoll. Ein wichtiges Dokunent für angehende Sängerinnen und Sänger.

It is simply amazing that a singer of Fassbaender's talent would perform for twelve minutes with her eyes glued to the music.
...and so does every single member of the orchestra. in this performance she clearly sees herself as an even member of the entire piece and group. she doesn't try to attract focus or attention. she is sunk into the music. vocally and with her entire mental focus. singing with the score at hand is very common practice in this kind of music. in Lieder or Opera it is different of course. But in an Oratorium it is very common to do what she does here. and whatever she does, it works. this here is a supreme performance.

Where is the rest of this wonderful performance? Once ZDF and 3sat broadcasted it. Nobody seems to have am complete recording. I would be happy to have it complete.
