  • Union Pacific's Kane Creek Branch serves a potash plant near Moab, Utah between Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Stunning red cliffs dwarf trains that meander along the Colorado River. See Union Pacific's weekly Potash Local framed by the spectacular Corona Arch!

Fantastic work, as always. I was waiting for Airwolf to appear in some of this scenery, or Black Mesa Research facility. Breathtaking.

Actually if you continue south of Moab to Valley of the gods, you will recognize a few formations Airwolf did fly over.

Aside from the spectacular scenery, visually, I enjoy (and prefer) seeing the traditional style UP locomotives with their name on them as opposed to the flag adorned variety, as well as older boxcars and rolling stock that only seems to be visible on branch lines such as this. It's also interesting to me that this is still one of the branch lines UP the company operates, as opposed to a smaller short-line or rail leasing operations running in other locations like this around the country. Fantastic video! Thanks for sharing!

Been to Moab many times and always wondered about the RR there.
Also on the south side of Moad, there is an Illinois Central RR semi-trailer. Been there for over twenty five years. Was still there when we were out there in 2016.

What an excellent video. Your channel was recommended by Danny Harmon of Distant Signal Productions. It's interesting that UP #1344 was originally built for the D&RGW. Your video style has encouraged me of how to improve my channel of videoing trains. Thanks again.

You are correct, it is a National Park. Either the scriptwriter or the narrator got it wrong. Oh wait! They're both me!
