I raced the steel tube framed Formula Mazda and the carbon fiber Star Mazda formula cars and I hate the sound of them. The chugging is annoying to listen to when the engine is about 18" behind your head. The belching flame was cool when we were the last race of the weekend.
What i never found on internet is why sometimes braps get inconsistent, like brap brap brap osoakajhdaj brap brap brap oapapoaoap brap brap, any explanation why? Is more common on more than 2 rotor engines as far as i see
The more aggressive the porting on the engine, ie. the more air it gets, the worse it idles, and some setups just result in a very inconsistent idling.
What modifications do you have to do to make it “brap brap brap” I have an RX8 and I have new headers and a midpipe but that’s about it, what can I do to it to make it sound like this?
Depends mostly due to the porting done on it. It's done by hand so no 2 engines will sound exactly the same. The exhaust piping is also a bog factor too
I'm not very familiar with rotories so this might be a stupid question, but why do some idle faster and some slower, if that makes sense? Is it because of the amount of rotors?
