Which of these goodbyes broke your hearts the most?! :'(
For me it was Charlie saying goodbye, Littlefoot's mother passing away, Hiccup and Toothless saying goodbye and Andy saying goodbye.
HTTYD and Toy Story, I grew up watching so those two made me cry waterfalls every time.
ALL OF THEM FOR GOD'S SAKE
For me it was Littlefoot watching his mother passing away and telling him not to loose hope in finding his grandparents in the Great Valley❤️🦖🦕😭
I can’t even watch the ending of Toy story 3 without bawling.
Friggin Land Before Time 😢
At 34, I’m not ashamed to say that Littlefoot’s mom dying still makes me cry 😭
mackenzie jackson every time 😭
Same.
I'm 37 and just thinking about Littlefoot's mom makes me cry 😢 😭 😪 🤧 😫
I cry every time at that scene.
Sad fact more about that film the little girl who voiced Ducky was killed by her father.
The way Toothless hugged Hiccup was like a dog hugging his owner and that made me tear up so much!
Same
Same
This scene is my go-to cry scene. While I start crying, toothless hugging him does start the waterworks and they activate full blast when hiccup pulls his hand away. That single gesture as a HTTYD fan since childhood rips my heart to shreds
How the f*ck are Littlefoot not number 1!?! That scene still breaks my heart today 😭
Mine too, those last words of his mom’s are so true. That and I lost my grandma who was like a mom to me. That could be why that scene breaks me.
I agree, it should be at number 1.
DITTO!!! It was sooo sad!!
Cannot agree more
I agree
Littlefoots mom, that had me crying my eyes out as a kid.
Same here it did not help when my mom had to go to work left in the care of my aunt. After watching it I would say where is my mommy.
@@lval05 I remember watching this in 1st grad and crying out " I NEED MY MOMMY NOW!!" almost all the class was in tears wanting their moms.
I cried just watching this video of it
Till the day it breaks my heart and I'm a grown adult.
My mum bought this movie for me on VHS when I was younger and now that she's passed away...well... this scene is just very hard to watch without bursting out in tears. It's a very powerful scene.
Fox and the Hound better be on this, I literally ball my eyes out once that music starts playing.
Ballin Balgruuf I’m still not over that movie. 🦊💔🦊💔
Jared Schnabl it just reminds me of all the animal friends I’ve lost in my life.😔
Best movie ever
Amen!
Ball so hard muh’fuckas wanna fine me
“Take her to the moon for me”🥺🤧
That was never the scene that did me in. The scene that hit me hard was Riley breaking down and crying about how much she misses her old home. Especially now after moving from Michigan where I spent 2/3 of my life.
@@LilacElf8582 I spent most of my life in Florida. Now we're moving to Michigan. I will OF COURSE miss Florida.
@@aullette Where in Michigan, if you don't mind me asking?
@@LilacElf8582 iron mountain, Michigan
The Fox and the Hound has me tearing up the most. It just gets me everytime no matter how many times I've seen it.
I can't even watch the movie anymore simply because I know the saddest part of movie will eventually show its face
It doesn't help how happy he looks. Just thinking they're going for a ride.
@@hales3007 ive seen it 100 times. Why do i do this to myself??
@@SlyFan-mp8dc ikr?? Hes so adorable. And then the reality kicks in ;w;
I can't even think about this movie without crying 😥
Fox and the Hound was definitely deserving of a higher spot.
DeathScythe that one got me 😭
Same with little foot, Todd the fox, and Optimus. still crying over those.
Agreed. That is a VERY sad goodbye scene! 😭
My good boy passed the other day. Great I’m crying so hard again. RIP Ryder, you where a good dog.
I’m sorry for your loss😭😭
I can never listen to Baby Mine without getting emotional
Same
I sang Baby Mine to my cat on her last day and now I can't listen to the song without crying.
@@ChristophProbst sorry to hear that. it is one of those songs that you never want to listen to ever again without being reduced to tears
Same😭😭😭
I Can
Me: *having a nice day*
This video: *exists*
Me: Well, I guess I got to be sad for the rest of the day
I literally just woke up and decided to see this while starting my day. Somehow I am crying now. Not how I wanted to start my day
You big baby.
I'm sorry for you.
3:28 "Game of Thrones eat your heart out" immediately shows Kit Harrington's character
hiccup and toothless on 8 was to low. i always tear up when i watch the scene
ditto
you and me both
Agree, watch the movie 3 times, cried at all three
They reunited at the end when they both had family's
agreed
#8 - When I watched Hiccup and Toothless saying goodbye in the cinema, I cried so much and even everyone knew that it was the final chapter between this amazing friendship of a lifetime! 😫
IKR
As did I. Hiccup pulling his hand away did it for me. I cried for the rest of the night
-Tarzan telling Kala she will always be his mother and hugs her before he goes to London with Jane (Tarzan)
-Ralph and Vanellope part ways (Ralph Breaks the Internet)
-Miguel stays in El Dorado while Tulio goes back to Spain with Chel and the gold (The Road to El Dorado)
-Stitch decides to leave Lilo and Nani's house (Lilo and Stitch)
-Woody stays behind with Bo Peep at the carnival (Toy Story 4)
-Moses runs away from Egypt after accidentally killing a man, despite Rameses' plead (The Prince of Egypt)
Conc: Tarzan. It's nice to have Kala survive in the cartoon unlike the original book source.
*My 31 year old ass crying a river*
"I'm fine, it's cool... damn who is cutting onions?"
Seriously, how does one not cry with the Little foot and his mom like damn if that ain't so damn sad. Makes you wanna go hug your mom right away. I saw that movie in 1 st grade and wanted to go home to hug my mom. WHERE'S "REMEMBER ME" FROM COCO?~?~
I love Coco
You are by far mojo's best narrator. Your voice has such emotion and charisma. Should definitely be on the main channel as well.
She has been, on a couple occasions.
Anna Fowdy well in that case, we need a lot more!
Todd being left in the forest was heartbreaking. Widow Tweed's monologue was sad enough but Todd's happiness during the car ride, completely oblivious to what is coming next? That was just soul-crushing.
The last time I saw that scene I was bawling like a little girl all over again. I know exactly what you mean. That's why it was so heartbreaking, and it was a choice that hurt both of them but it had to be made. Widow Tweed loved Todd so much and that's why she had to let him go. That song makes me cry.
This list is incomplete until they include the intro to “up”
I actually have to strongly disagree. While Up's intro IS fantastic, this list is about scenes where the characters are saying goodbye IN that scene and Up actually skips that moment; it goes from Carl caring for the sick Ellie in the hospital, to after her funeral. Therefore, I don't think it qualifies for this list.
Edit: Just realized that the intro even explains it: "...case-in-point, Ellie and Mufasa don't feature."
She said in the beginning it didn’t count
I had just watched HTTYD 3 yesterday and my tears were flowing like crazy! I grew up with Hiccup and Toothless and to see them say goodbye was heartbreaking
Such a great movie right?! I love all three of them so much!!!!
Heartbreaking If not totally unnecessary
Ik
Sully saying goodbye to Boo was devastating, but the real tearjerker was the little "Kitty!" when they reunite at the end.
Edit at the end -- _NOPE!!!_
AGREED!
I would also add Moses leaving Ramases and Egypt after he accidentally killed a man and runs out of guilt. And Moses’ mother letting him go.
Mom, yes. Ramses, no.
"My son, I have nothing left to give, but this chance that you may live. Until we meet again..."
*sobbing ensues*
Shelby LovesIreland I know 😭. I used the scene at the river with parts from the Hunchback to make a video. That one makes me sad too.
@@angeloffish I just subbed. I watched a few of your videos now and love them. 😍
Shelby LovesIreland Thank you ☺️ . I’m glad you liked them.
For me the scene from a land before time was the saddest moment of my whole childhood. I remember how my mom and me used to cry every single time we watched the movie... and we watched it a lot..
"Take her to the moon for me" Gets me every time. Growing up is hard. 😭
Dang it's been so long since I've watched little foot, and it still gets me to this day.
I feel like Little Foot, Tweed and Todd and Charlie and Anna Marie should have been higher.
Fine, but you leave my Iron Giant ALONE!
I'm 19 and The Iron Giant Breaks My Heart Every time I watch it and it won't change even If I'll be 50 or older ....it marked itself in my soul ever since I was little and I'm proud and Glad to be So Connected to it after all these years
Yeaaah brooo, i feel the same...
The goodbye in the Fox and the Hound will always hold a special place in my heart, for the final lines is what I chose to have engraved in my mom's head stone.
The Land Before Time 😭😭😭 My whole childhood!!
Toothless and Hiccup saying goodbye made me cry the most, along with Tod gets abandoned
When I saw HTTYDTHW I WAS THE ONLY KID IN THE THEATRE CRYING LIKE CRAZY
I teared only but I was very sad
The fox and the hound gets me every time. The scene alone is sad, but the bg music and the vocals make you really feel the pull at your heartstrings. Littlefoot's mother comes in second for me
I guess Anne-Marie eventually did get to see Charlie again... if you get what I mean.
It's hard to watch All Dogs Go to Heaven and The Land Before Time knowing what happened to that little girl.
Lmao. Yup
R. I. P. Judith Barsi and Burt Reynalds
Not . . . cool
@@haydenberends3905 I wasn't trying to be funny.
Omg... “goodbye may seem forever”, “baby mine” and littlefoot’s mum get me every time... along with mufasa’s death 😫😭
The Fox and the Hound was one of the very first movies I watched. I always cry at that scene. Heck, I'm crying now.
The scene with the widow leaving Tod in the forest makes me cry every damn time. I think because the widow reminds me so much of my grandmother, who passed away in 2004. I've made peace with her passing, but I still miss her. That freaking song doesn't help, either. :C
All Dogs will always be on the top of my list, just for the fact that sweet little Judy Barsi WAS in heaven when this movie came out.
Dude . . . Why? 😰😥😢😭😭😭
Yeah. It’s sad to hear that her father was very high on alcoholic beverages and was not in the right mind when he murdered her along with his wife in cold blood. But what can we do? That man wasn’t right. He was messed up.
@@kathrynhill5796 Her mom is equally to blame though. She refused to leave her abusive husband because she wanted to stay in LA so that Judith could work. She was living an extravagant lifestyle off of Judith’s money and didn’t want to endanger that. It’s a sad story all the way around.
@@Alphanubilus1 Oh. Guess that poor girl had parents that didn’t get along really well. Sad.
Ahhhh shit I thought I was kinda safe, and then Ariel and Tritons goodbye showed up in the honourable mentions. Need another tissue box, that gets me every single time!
Httyd made me cry like a baby. I watched it twice in theaters and I sobbed loudly both the times. And I’ve rewatched that movie numerous times and still cry, just the background music kills me
I’m still NOT over The Fox and the Hound. There’s a reason the 1980’s were the dark era for Disney. 🦊💔🦊💔
Hey! That was my favorite era!
Hey! That was my favorite era!
I don't really see Ariel's wedding as sad.
Fox and the Hound makes me cry.
Fox and the Hound makes me cry so hard that I have to remember how to breathe! The music makes it that much sadder! 😭😭😭😭
The Fox and the Hound scene and the Baby Mine scene from Dumbo always gets me
The fox part was the absolute worst. I cried my eyes out as a child. I couldn't watch the movie ever again
I'm not crying! You are! These are onions!
Ralph and Vanellope farwell from Ralph Break the Internet.
Deshawn Edwards Ok, yes, I LOVE that movie
Deshawn Edwards I thought about that one, too.
I'm not crying! It's those dang Onion Ninjas! ToT
2010 Toy Story 3: Has the saddest goodbye of all time.
2019 Toy Story 4: Hold my hat.
I think All dogs should be higher since the child actor who did play Anne-Marie was murdered before the movie came out
Marxeen RIP Judith Barsi
By her own father.
She also voiced Ducky in The Land Before Time.
It should have been higher. I start tearing up if I think about that scene in the movie.
Plus: I was reading up on the movie. Don Bluth, the Director, was so heartbroken over the death of Judith Barsi that he based Anne-Maries' design and mannerisms on her as an honour to her memory and to cope with the loss.
Why isn't Charlotte's Web on this list?
That...is a VERY good question.
TheGamingFluttershyFan rumor has it that Debbie Reynolds (Charlotte) was so taken by the script, she asked not to be paid for voicing her. Next to Singing in the Rain, that is her most iconic role.
A very good question
@@jschnabl85 That doesn't really answer the question as to why Charlotte's Web is absent from this Top 10 list.
TheGamingFluttershyFan damn y cried like a little boy.
Literally, the hardest thing I've watched in a long time...
Tearful. My mentionable is not on this video is Vanellope’s farewell to Ralph in Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018), Spot’s farewell to Arlo in The Good Dinosaur (2015). Po’s Mother sacrifice in Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) and Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016).
- uncle aaron/spider-gang (spider-man into the spiderverse)
- woody (toy story 4)
- ellie (up)
- hector (coco)
- spirit is captured (spirit stallion of the cimarron)
- genie is set free (aladdin)
- oogway (kung fu panda)
I LOVE COCO SO MUCH❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙
It's even sadder when you realize that Ann Marie's voice actress was murdered by her dad when she was 10.
Wow! I did not know that.
WHAT?
I'm 32 years old and Littlefoot's mother's death STILL gets me!
I'm 28 and it gets to me as well.
55. You're NEVER too old to cry at animated movies. Heck; I openly cried through most of this countdown!
sammmmmmme
When Bing Bong's scene showed up on the list I couldn't help but yell "HOW DARE YOU?!" not because it's not supposed to be there but because *too soon*
Those films made me cry as a child and even now as an adult.
To be so young and to lose your mother has to be the hardest one
All Dogs Go to Heaven is so much sadder once you remember what happened to Anne Marie’s voice actress.
Its the saddest one by far is little foot when his mum is killed by a sharp tooth
Fox and the hound was an amazing movie. One of the best along with land before time and iron giant and inside out dumbo etc. Such great movies
I do not expect that list to make me freaking bawl my eyes out. Thanks a lot
My mother passed away when I was nine, so Littlefoot's mom dying struck me like lightning.
Jamel Ramseur I can relate. I lost my own mother when I was 11, and The Land Before Time was one of my favorite films as a kid. Now, I can barely watch it without breaking into tears at that scene.
I’m still not over losing my grandma and she died when I was 17!
I'm sorry for your loss
Toy Story 3 destroyed me the most the first time, but to this date I haven’t seen Inside our without crying, that movie ages like a fine wine- the older you get I feel like the more you can learn to enjoy some of the deeper themes.
My hear is breaking. I grew up watching all of those movies and they just get you so emotional. It doesn't matter what age you are 1 or 100, these movies really showed kids and adults that it is all right to cry. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I always had tears when Boo and Sully say goodbye, when she opens the door and says “Kitty” gets me every time, of course we all cry with LBT. When Ariel gets married I tear up also.
Great I'm ugly crying at work. Thanks Ms.Mojo
Optimus is always too heartbreaking
Heartbreaking, yet heartwarming. And I hit a 200th like.
Ever since I became a parent, Sully saying goodbye to Boo and then her crestfallen face when she realizes he's not there crushes my heart and soul.
For me, people’s moms dying hits harder than people’s dads dying, because I have a stronger relationship with my mom than dad
Good list. Personally I would have also added the farewell scene between Silver and Jim in Treasure Planet
#8
...I Hate you already
I sat in the theater and cried my heart out, I even brought my own tissues 🙃
Eat your heart out, Game of Thrones!
I wonder which ones that didn't make the list count:
.(Spoiler) Woody Leaves Bonnie and the Toy Gang in Toy Story 4
.The Beasts death in Beauty and the Beast
.The Genie's Freedom in Aladdin
.Kerchak dies in Tarzan
.Eliza Thornberry leaving the family for boarding school in The Wild Thornberry's Movie
So you're telling me Toothless leaving Hiccup is only number 8?
there better be some heart wrenching moments that break the dam of my soul left in the top 7
Good bye is the best thing to say to someone who means the world to you Especially when Good bye isn't what you want
Thanks for making me cry Ms mojo 😢
Littlefoot made me cry so much when I was little and it still does and I'm 19 about to turn 20!
I don't think I have been so early for a video before
the first minutes of up when carl have to say goodbye to ellie, and later at the funeral with baloons. gets me every time.
For me, the ending of Onward is
gut-wrenching. Ian selflessly allowed Barley to say goodbye to their dad after the latter’s last memory of him did not go well. I was proud of him, but @ the same time my heart breaks @ that goodbye as the sun set.
Also, the hug? God, that movie gets me every time! 😭😭😭😭
Two things: 1) my eyes were filled with tears while watching...until I got to #3 and #2. They were a little sad, but never made me cry, and I cry easily at movies, TV shows, commercials... 2) THANK YOU for NOT showing Woody saying, "So long, partner." That one would have put me right back to "Superman!"-level sobs.
Most of these were Disney which means that Disney really know how to make us cry 😢😢
It’s been a year since How to train your Dragon 3 was released and I still cry at that scene every fucking time!!!!
Who thinks hiccup and toothless goodbye scene will always be the saddest goodbye ever
The goodbye moment between areil and her father was just very touching for a Disney movie
But it wasn’t heartbreaking
I mean, she leaves her family for dick. Not really sad
The nostalgia of some of these, my god 😭 wasn’t ready for this 😅😂
I bawled like a BABY at #! when I saw it at the movies...and I was 21! All of these are some tear jerkers for me...besides the HTTYD one. Never seen those movies.
The only goodbye scene in a Disney movie that made me nearly cry my eyes out was Arlo and Spot in The Good Dinosaur.
Plus, the third sequel to my favorite animated movie, How To Train Your Dragon was so sad, I was trying so desperately not to tear up...
Little foots mum dieing was the first film a cried from, then mufasa and then fox and the hound. Andy saying goodbye also brings out the tears. Fox and the hound also made my daughter cry, it was the first film she become emotional over 😢😭
the httyd 3
and the song together from a far
kicks me out
Disney Fan 1: What about Bambi’s Mom? She should be on the list.
Disney Fan 2: You block head, She got shot by the hunter, That doesn’t count!
fox and the hound is so sad that id rather dont watch it just for this scene..
The top 4 always gets me crying literally every time.😭😭😭😭😭😭
The third Toy Story ending was WAY satisfying. The fourth one was just an(other) unnecessary cash-grab.
edit: And now they have the GALL to keep that overrated franchise ALIVE with a PREQUEL! (Don't watch Lightyear! Don't be idiots!)
Martyn McMurray yeah i felt the same about finding dory although I like both movies, I don’t think they needed to happen.
@@gdiego135 Why do we keep being so easily hypnotized by Pixar giving us sequels nobody asked for when the original film had a better ending. If they TRY to make a "A Bug's Life" sequel, I'm gonna commit murder.
@@ma3mc3mu-X honestly, better a sequel than a remake in my opinion, atleast they are new, rather than a diluted cash grab. Atleast Pixar is still making new and original films, unlike disney.
@@JKL-JKL-JKL Still, Toy Story 4 had some flaws (The rest got mediocre screentime, Buzz's romance with Jessie never came back and Forky's existential crisis was resolved in the first act) and I doubt Frozen 2 will have any villain songs. These sequels were only created to win the Best Animated Feature award at the Academy and screw DreamWorks like the smug *Fascist* they are.
@@ma3mc3mu-X i agree, the entire medium has become oversaturated with sequels and remakes, disney's last animated film that didnt rely on an existing ip was moana in 2016.
For me, Land Before Time remains the saddest ever. Not only does his mother die, but then the movie spends scene after scene afterwards showing his grief and really driving in that his mother is dead and never coming back.
Watching Boo and Sullivan parting ways was definitely the thing that made me cry the most. 😢
