I think Monsters, Inc goodbye scene ( James says Goodbye to Boo) deserved a spot...It was so heart touching

it wasn't a goodbye though. Cause Mike was able to get the door back and then we see James opening the door and then hear Boo's voice!

Fast and furious 7 saying goodbye to Paul walker effectively retiring his character and making people cry in the theater knowing we won't be able to see him again with out it being cgi RIP Paul walker 😢😢😢
this should be number one. fuck watchmojo's shitty list. the last scene in furious 7 actually did make me cry even though i'm a guy but so what. in real life, tyrese and vin cried their eyes out at his funeral. it's fucking sad as hell. and i wish paul walker was still alive.

Same here, but it's made worse by the fact that I saw TS3 for the first time the day my husband came home from the hospital after he had nearly died. So add emotional rollercoaster plus I'm a classic movie crier under the BEST of circumstances, PLUS that exquisite ending...yeah, there wasn't much left of me after that.

Really good seeing classic films top the list. GWTW and Casablanca are such memorable and iconic films that are irreplaceable even by today's films.

I thought that too, but that's more so a death than a goodbye. It is a goodbye since Hugh has ended his Wolverine career, but at the end of Logan he's not living anymore.

Thank you for putting Toy Story 3 on this list WatchMojo.com. The rest on this list are iconic for good reason. But Top Story 3 still makes me feel something to this day, as if I was still in the movie theater watching it over and over again.

What about Wilson from Castaway? I know he's just a volleyball, but Tom Hanks sells it so perfectly. Still gets me in the feels, even if it is an inanimate object. Also disappointed that Paul Walker's goodbye from Furious 7 didn't actually make the list despite being teased. But still, very good list. Hope to see another Top Ten on this subject.

The Green Mile's heart-wrenching conclusion is too overlooked
I know this is an obscure pick and really hard to find (Its on filmstruck), but the ending to Hugo and Josephine is absolutely perfect.
I still like "See you on the other side" from Ghostbusters. Sure, they didn't die, but it was still such a good scene! And when Patrick Swayze crosses over at the end of "Ghost", that scene always makes me cry.
