Schumacher was better with Batman lore than Burton. He was a fan of BTAS, and enjoyed comics like Year One (which he wanted to adapt) and The Dark Knight Returns. Hell, look at Schumacher's filmography, they're dark, character driven films. Please learn what you're talking about because Joel was a Batman fan, Warner Bros got in his way.
