Something else that didn’t get highlighted in this highlight was the toughness of butker, he sprained his ankle bad in the first quarter on his plant foot, and instead of benching himself, tapes and spats up and goes out and drills a 50+ yarder before halftime when it was a much closer game. He deserves a lot of praise for that display of old school toughness! He hit that kick with a one step approach too. Crazy.

Chiefs traded in a Cheetah for a pack of hyena's. Chiefs look way more dangerous now they have 3RBs they can rotate, 2 maybe 3 TE's and still have burners with that WR group and the Defense looking nice ! Pacheco def going to be a problem for defenses deeper in the season.

Chiefs absolutely popped off this game. Defense was lookin somewhat better than last year, and it was pretty cool to see Justin Reid kicking again in a game. And the offense was amazing, losing Tyreek Hill did not slow them down. And in my opinion Patrick Mahomes played much better than Josh Allen Week 1. There execution of the game plan was incredible.

The most important stat is that Mahomes ran the ball only 3 times for 5 yds. If that's all he does on the ground, the protection was great and everybody was open.
Ehhhh. Protection was iffy. Definitely not the worst, but he still got hit a lot. He also moves around a lot, so I guess that's asking a lot of your line.

This feels like one of those Andy Reid "I'm smarter than all you mfs" years where his offenses just go off for gaudy numbers. Except this time around he has a QB that's basically just trying to solidify his future HOF status and build on it by adding more accolades and achievements. I need to see more of the defense though, as good as the Chiefs looked, it's week 1. Way too early to know anything for sure. But as of now, good win.

Love Tyreek, but trading him was a great move for him and KC. It's crystal clear seeing the ball get sprayed around to so many receivers.
I think this would go over the heads of most people that didn't watch the game, but BUTKER the KICKER essentially lost use of one foot during the game, and still made a 54 YD field goal with only taking one step to kick it. That is absolutely INSANE for any kicker to do that for a PAT much less most kickers couldn't even get near that for 50+ yards.
it's not that hard actually. kickers are used to the cadence that's why they keep the routine. most of the force is actually generated from the planting foot, instead of the momentum from the run up.

If he stays healthy he'll be easily in the top 5 best QB's ever alongside Brady, Manning and Montana. dude the chiefs playbook for offense is so good. theres always an open receiver for Mahomes. Im a Chargers fan and i think Staley needs to steal some of these plays for the Bolts 😂
It also has a lot to do with how Mahomes moves his eyes and how he moves outside of the pocket. He never gives away who he's throwing to, and he uses his scrambling ability to get defenders to come up just enough to get his receivers open. Then, Mahomes can also just throw at angles that defenders don't expect, which opens up some passing possibilities that just don't exist for other quarterbacks.
