HOA Karen calls 911 on Me! Thinks She is the Owner of my House! r/MaliciousCompliance
That HOA manager also made a false police report. That is a misdemeanor, heck in some states that is a freaking felony.
If an HOA is not giving you rules and is being hypocritical it's time to call an HOA lawyer for a real estate lawyer and tell them that this feels like there's something fishy going on. And get the IRS as well as the HOA district on this HOA's ass.
I'd also sue them right off the bat for my time in jail as well as defamation to my character with a lawyer.
A good lawyer might have gotten enough money that the "HOA Manager" would have had to sell his condo.
Sounds like a nice slander suit against the HOA tyrant.
Last story: sue them into the ground. That's making a false police report and slander.
That last story is insane! Get a lawyer and have the people investigated!
11:45 we really need to make a law that says that anytime anyone intentionally falsely accuses another person of a crime that they know they did not commit they automatically get the max sentence for whatever crime they knowingly falsely accused the other person of.
The last story. The tenant doesn’t have a contract with the HOA, the tenant has a contract with his landlord. The landlord has a contract with the HOA. And it’s obvious that the landlord doesn’t care as long as he gets his rent check.
On the last story, sounds like the hoa supposed manager was stealing money from the hoa and should go to PRISON.
Happy Friday RedWheel hope you are well. Thanks for sharing. Please stay safe.🏴😁😷👍. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend everyone
The first story inadvertently highlights the problem with health insurance. If you have insurance, the bill is always more. This is true for prescriptions as well as eyeglasses and other medical needs. I have been told by people who used to work in the insurance industry that it's always best to ask for the cash price before involving insurance on almost anything medical.
That sounds like plain fraud to pump up insurance policies
And with the co-pays, a lot of people are paying as much as they would without insurance. It should be illegal to charge more to an insurance company.
@@elizabethcox5911 They charge more to the insurance company because the insurance only pays part of the charges. He said the cash price was $50 -$60 and they would charge Medicare $150, but Medicare only pays about 20% of the amount billed. That means they charge Medicare $150 and get paid $30 or only about half the cash price. And with Medicare you often aren't allowed to bill the patient for the difference. Medicare and Medicaid pay VERY low (about 20% and 10% respectively) so you often end up losing money on Medicare and Medicaid patients. The only way to make up for those losses are to charge private insurance (Private insurance usually pays 80%) and self pay patients higher amounts than would normally be necessary.
@elizabethcox5911 the reason that is Done is because insurance companies always negotiate the price down. I worked in medical billing. At least half my time was on the phone with insurance companies saying they won't pay that much and negotiate it down. So we charge them more so when they do that they pay the same as someone with out insurance would pay.
it a moral Grey area. Because when we sent the regular price they would still try to not pay. Which made the hospital lose money. Which I didn't care about until I found out Part of our profit went to free expensive surgeries for kid in need.
that last hoa story, legit? If there's a common room, then why isn't it 'common'? And the cops believed a lunatic co-worker and 1 person while ignoring EVERYONE ELSE? And why didn't OP CALL THE COPS when the hoa 'manager' injured her and her dog? If OP was just renting from the condo owner, then OP should have spoken to the owner/landlord?, gotten the hoa rules and or started looking for another place.
These days, most Medicare Advantage insurance will pay for exams and glasses. Also, dental work. Check. your insurer.
Did you see how the first story's company charged twice the non insurance price to insurances for eye glasses? No wonder insurance costs are so high.
Yes they charged twice as much, but with Medicare's low pay rate they probably received LESS than the amount they would have charged the patient directly.
Hello everyone and Redwheel I hope everyone is having a good day
My healthcare (Medicare & OHP) pays for a yearly routine eye exam and up to $250 for frames and lenses. However, a lot of Medicare plans don't offer vision care except for cataract surgery and new glasses post-surgery.
Last story:
I’m sorry but why wouldn’t you just move, if you’re being treated so badly for so long, just move.
Good morning everyone and RedWheel 😊
TGIF 😊
Thanks Redwheel
As to the story that person made a mistake then got beligerent. He should not have been given a discount. As to the second story that jerk should have a lien place on his property to ensure payment of the judgement and be forced to remove his items from a public space.
With the first story why are people who are having bills paid by insurance charged more? This probably why premiums are so high.
Love the music from Kerbal Space Program in the backgrouns
In our state Medicare covers eye exams minus whatever deductible but not eye glasses or contacts
Medicare billing doubled for insurance pay. Shows why they want you to have insurance.
1st story, I’d sue the butt off the OP for age discrimination. Just because anyone is over 60 does not make them ‘grumpy’ or difficult. They can be that way at any age! Stop making assumptions about people’s capabilities at any age, I’m certainly older than the person encountered in this story and I am very capable at completing forms, on the internet, and I’m also very financially astute.
Good morning 0:19 redwheel from louisville ky
because insurance rarely covers what is billed entirely many medical offices bill insurance more so they will get the amount that cash patients pay. ie if the insurance company is billed $150 they may pay $50, or the amount cash patients are charged. If the insurance company is billed $50 they may only pay $20
🔥🔥🔥🧙🏻♂
The first story is about a criminal screwing people around. Federal law says you can’t charge insurance more than individuals because that would be discrimination. So, that person and their coworkers need to be in prison.
Rules change. This story happened years before.
@@mbyerly9680 And that is why our health insurance prices are insane now. People like that caused this so they don’t matter. Also, even though it hadn’t been to court doesn’t change the FACT that it was discrimination. It was never legal, it just wasn’t being punished. That is a huge difference.
@@adamr9215You're acting like the employees themselves charged the insurance. It was the company doing it, not the person writing the post. There's a big difference there.
@@keeper2335 Companies only get away with stuff like that because they can find employees willing to do it.
@@adamr9215Once again, the employees did not charge the insurance more. The company did. The people at the store front have no control over that.
As for the company getting away with things because the employees don't stop it. Sure, that may work for a smaller company. But a bigger company, not so much. Very rarely does someone at a storefront have any control over prices or how much gets charged, when that company has a corporate. If the employee genuinely has no ability to change how much insurance gets charged, then how is it their fault that corporate charges the insurance more?
My source for most of this: I used to work as an assistant manager at a retail chain, and had a lot of complaints about prices that I had no control over.
story one is bs we all have the internet to check this stuff.
Good morning red. Hope this morning finds you doing well. Well here I go again. The last story is a complete lie. Too many inconsistencies with it. Especially spending a week in jail. For what exactly? Also why would someone live there? The writer doesn't know how to arrange and or write a story. Other than that, great job red.
You know this how?
