1st story: It's not intelligent to fire the ONLY employee you have. The person who ACTUALLY does all the work for you. Wonder if OP's boss was able to get another coder before going belly up. 2nd story: Wally Mart asst. manager - full of him / her self and not really thinking. Higher manager got OP to do the carts and like a true manager did the soda machines himself after that. 3rd story: I pity OP's aunt. That zoo is truly large and exhausting. 4th story: OP needs to send that cease and desist letter and if the don't cease and desist, take them to court and clean out their HOA treasury.
Last story I would say I was here first if you guys don't like it move and by the way put no trespassing signs up and if they come on your property again call the cops and have them arrested.
Having worked at Wally World for a time, that story hit home. One of the worst things about working at Walmart was too many managers giving you contradicting orders. Makes you feel like you're the steel ball in a pinball machine. It was so much better before the old man died! His kids are just horrible entitled people.
I was a stockman for the Mart of Walton in Montana. Four out of five days, I was the only one, from Ten a.m. to Five p.m. During the last month that I worked (January) there, we got a ASM from a Sam's club.... in Texas. My first ridiculous encounter was for not dressing appropriately. Stocknen were allowed to wear jeans and warm gear from October through may. She wrote me up for not wearing the khaki's, and rolker blades.... and for wearing a coat and safety vest that covered my shirt... outside, in a Montana January! Turns out she didn't brush up on rules that were different between Walmart and Sam's club. She also tried to write me up for not cleaning bathrooms, filling soda machines and emptying trash. It was pointed out to her that I was the only guy on duty to retrieve shopping carts at the most popular store in a county of 100,000 people who all shopped there during the week. So I was basically considered untouchable. She hated ne!😂
Story # 1: I DID work at that same store. (Probably, not the same location.) And, can tell you, 1) Too many ARSE... assistant managers. 2) 75% of those, let their egos run to their heads.... if they ever had one.
Last Story, depending on local laws, you might be able to put up a "No Trespassing Sign, SPECIFICALLY Aimed at the HOA, Board Members or representatives, thereof...couple that with good camera coverage, and you can REALLY mess with them.
Soda machine story: That manager probably didn't want to do the soda machines himself and couldn't be bothered with looking outside or where the carts are normally located for customer use. Idiot. Not legally a part of the HOA and they can't make you join. That's what pisses them off. Get that cease and desist sent out and inform them that you will take legal action for anything done to your property.
Happy new years eve RedWheel hope you are well. Thanks for sharing. Please stay safe.🏴😁😷👍. Happy new years eve everyone I hope 2024 will be amazing for you all
Last story. OP may be in violation of local laws with his truck. Where I live it's illegal to park in one's yard. All vehicles must be parked on a paved or graveled surface. He probably ought to check on that before he starts getting citations or even towed.
I grew up going to the Brookfield Zoo and the Lincoln Park Zoo, they are awesome. My father used to go way back when the largest Gorilla in history was housed there. It is now a stuffed exhibit in the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago.
What's the malicious compliance in the story? What about the plan was so funny? I generally don't listen to the commentary; I just read the text. Was there something in the commentary that explained it?
I would have asked the manager to go volleys carts since I was heavily into the soda machines and had exclusive and intimate knowledge of how much I've done, how much is left and where all the upcoming codes were, or do you want me to waste time and explain it to you....
With the cart story it shows how lazy US citizens are. All supermarkets should do the same thing as what Aldi does, you have to "pay" to use a cart with a coin which you could get back after you return the cart.
I'm before first again LOL. I hope this last year has been a good one for you and the coming year is a lot better health wise and monetary and anything else that is important to you! So, I wish you a very Happy New Year and all your fans!
On the story about the Assistant manager telling op to fill the soda machine before getting carts, make the Assistant manager a stock boy now.

I would just lawyer up and have them send a letter to piss off or I’m taken this to court for harassment never give a hoa any kindness

in the South, they don’t even bother with calling the police, because in some places, trespassing on someone’s property is the fastest way to get shot

In addition to cameras and lawyers, I would call the police and get them a trespass notice. Then have them arrested the next time they come.

On the last story, great job op, I HATE hoa's.

Happy New Year. May 2024 be your best year yet. Stay safe and warm. God bless you.

Shedd aquarium in Chicago is an awesome place to visit too!
I grew up in Chicago so I know about the museums. Adler Planetarium, Field Museum, and Museum of Science and Industry are also definiite go-tos!
With the last story I would sue them for harassment.
The Walmart story should qualify as malicious compliance.
In Germany, it's barely possible to fire someone without a warning or really severe incident.
I'm from Chicago area, one day is not enough time
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Congrats on getting monetization back.

Before you go to the zoo don't forget to take your Aunt again and do it again see 🙈 if she remembers
🥰🥰🥰🥰
Make it a safe and Happy New Year everyone
Just say the Brookfield f****** zoo it's not that hard if you say Chicago there are two of them and that means there aren't that many to choose from

Happy New Year 🎉
the entire story about vending machines hurt to hear due to the term "soda" rather than the more civilized "Pop"
