I got a lot of those cards at the mall, too. They weren't legit agencies... most scouts do not operate this way in a real agency.
this is a little bit insulting to models. implying that the only thing models do is "strip down for the camera" is a completely false statement. i've been modeling for years, and i have NEVER done anything like that, yet i am still successful. before you say something next time, please try to think ahead of what you are possibly insinuating.

This is so incredibly condescending. If modeling wasn't the right choice for you that is obviously your prerogative and it's great that you recognized that you didn't want to sacrifice your morals for it, but that doesn't mean that there aren't models who honor their morals their own way. Like just because you're not comfortable doing something or you feel it is wrong doesn't mean that girls who enjoy their modeling careers or don't have a problem with the demands of their jobs have no morals.

The woman on the right made it out that most of the jobs her agent offered involved not being fully dressed, and was probably talking from the perspective of modeling as a full-time gig, not cherry-picking the limited offerings for a side-hustle. If you have knowledge of the industry and think female models =can= make a living wage without taking off some or all clothing, share it!
As a professional photographer... NO. You were not going to be signed with an actual modeling agency. It was probably a low end agency that literally signs everyone.

Showing skin for modeling doesn’t mean you are “throwing all your morals and standards aside” maybe that’s against your morals which is fine but don’t preach to young women and make them feel bad for being empowered with their bodies and minds. But mostly, what someone wears isn’t a gauge of what their standards are. It’s really rude to just assume that if someone doesn’t dress modestly as you do, that they automatically have low standards.
Coco Rocha is iconic and she's also very open about the fact that she doesn't pose nude or semi-nude due to her personal religious beliefs, so no, not all models "strip down for the camera." Furthermore, agreeing to do lingerie/nude shoots doesn't mean a model doesn't respect herself; she's just as valid of a human being as you are, and your false sense of superiority is not very Christ-like.
I really don't think your morals and standards have anything to do with what you wear.
Why does everyone feel the need to be so rude? Leave these girls alone.

Both of you girls are so gorgeous. As a recent photography graduate, one of the things that I want to focus on when I do portraits is really branching out and doing cool shoots that my models will be so excited about but won't compromise myself or them. There's so many options for commercial portrait shoots out there that don't compromise that it boggles my mind that people automatically go to strip or bikini etc. Those shoots are honestly a bit boring. That said, as a photographer some of the more fine art nudes are gorgeous, so there's also a lot to be said for looking and analyzing those and pulling elements from them to get similar effects but not compromise. And those can be even more gorgeous than the ones that do compromise, yet they still have a similar feel.

As a model I don't feel like my worth and value is in the jobs I do or don't get. I know my worth in Christ. But I respect you both deciding to leave the modeling industry for full time ministry.

For people who say it matters what is in your heart and not your appearance, they sure love to talk about how beautiful THEY think they are.

I walked in local fashion weeks and modeled for photo shoots. I used to be VERY focused on my appearance. When I became reborn, those desires went away. I no longer cared about modeling and knew it wasn’t the path for me.
Well...I think considering the purpose of a model is the most important thing. Your looks may matter, but it's more about what you're endorsing when you're a model. Because you're always selling something.
Lalala Acc it's difficult for models to have a say over what they endorse because they need work. They are, in a sense, only a canvas.

A few weeks ago I commented on your feminism video and it caused quite a lot of controversy as I was sharing what I believed true feminism is/ should be. I stand by what I believe feminism should be, however, this video has been so eye-opening as I now understand that you have first-hand experience of the way the world tries to define women in such a derogatory way when we should be finding our identity in Christ. I am SO passionate about people knowing their self-worth and beauty, without needing to reach what society deems as beautiful. OH girls, I just saw this pop up and I am still getting used to the fact that I gave up modeling to pursue God and holiness . I almost go back sometimes since i still get casting invitations and lucrative deals but God is good, i am overcoming the desire each day and embracing my new life in salvation. I hope I can one day do what you do as good as you do it, to share my journey and just lead especially young people to Christ. Thank you ladies for sharing!!! Definitely subscribing.
I was thinking about modeling too! My parents talked me out of it! My parents, had read about the pitfalls of modeling and they told me, about the nudity and the not so fun stuff!!

But how do you deal with the people who say you are focused on the outside, since you wear makeup and do your hair and wear cute clothes? I don't believe that but I have been told that I am not a real Christian because I wear makeup and curl my hair and enjoy shopping.
Being a Christian does not mean you neglect your physical appearance. You should try to look your best at all times. However, you should be more focused on your inner qualities.
at the end of the day you make your own decision on whether to wear makeup or what clothes you wear but I can point you to the Bible and Jezebel was one of the first to wear makeup( very wicked lady) 2 Kings 9:30 ..also in Isaiah 3:16 -24 the daughters of Zion(wearing jewlery) are described and how the Lord will destroy them.1 Peter 3:3 as well..
Stefanie Medina in my opinion, your body is a temple. Don't be too vain and obsess about looks to the point where it is more important than it should be. But at the same time, I think that showing respect for yourself, God and Jesus involves taking care of your appearance! God created you to be beautiful. If you imagine a beautiful garden, the landscaper designs it... whilst the gardener maintains the beauty to show the world how great it is! As long as you care about your appearance in a way that is respectful, honours God and is modest... I think it's an awesome thing. In a way, I think it can be disrespectful to not take care of your appearance!
Take example from these beautiful women. You can adorn yourself and still be a modest woman of God. If you feel the need to do something about those people saying that about you tell them just that.

Hey guys! I think your videos are so pure and helpful! You both are so beautiful, and I just want to encourage you guys to make more videos without such perfect makeup and smooth, flawless hair. Neither of those things are bad, but sometimes it difficult for girls to trust others who look so flawless, just like you said "if I looked like her, then I would be happier!" Sometimes it's easy for me to think "these girls are only so joyful because they look like what culture expects of them, not because of God!"

Great Testimony. I love what she said about being confident and not needing to prove that to the world. In my opinion when someone feels the need to prove something or compromise what they believe to impress someone that's a sign of insecurity not confidence.

I was asked to model when I was 3 because I had curly white hair but I couldn’t because I had asbergers. I would never consider modeling today because so many girls seek it out and it makes it look lame.

That *is* a bit iffy. You're right in saying one can feel comfortable in their own skin and still not feel comfortable showing themself nearly nude.

I've modeled before, in fact, I was COMPLETELY covered up in one of my shoots- I'm pretty sure I had like 4 layers on!
I show a bit of skin, but I am still modest some days (think fifties/vintage)(however I NEVER show my legs, they're always covered) the ONLY ones who comment badly on my style are my backwards aunty and cousin (probably because they're jealous of me). I have VERY high standards, so dont assume that because myself or anyone who likes to show some skin is any "less" of a person, than someone who covers herself up.
Didn't the Bible say something about not judging people? You see, you're judging models purely because they model- you seem to think they are "less of a person" because of it.
The Bible doesn't broadly say not to judge people; it's a misnomer. It's one verse talking about hypocrisy.

Can you girls please do a video on Christmas? I want to honor God with my life and I know that Christmas is pagan and not of God. Jesus was not born around December, I know that much, and I'm still reading the Word of God everyday wanting to KNOW MY LORD JESUS, since giving my life to Jesus, it would mean a lot if you girls talked about Christmas because it's just like Halloween and Easter to me; demonic. I mean, even people of other religions and atheists celebrate Christmas, the whole world, which belongs to Satan loves Christmas so that's how I know that it is not of God. And I must submit no matter how I feel about the matter. The thoughts of God are much much higher than my own. Satan equals Santa. I do not want to be deceived, I would give up anything for Jesus because He gave up His life for me. Hallelujah praise God!!! :)
Ashley Regarding Halloween, you may mean about the people do the demonic things. That is wrong. Totally is not about HALLOW'S eve. Yes, many questions out there why we should pray for dead people? According to the Protestant bible, this doesn't exist. But remember Martin Luther, the ex catholic monk. He decide to do His own way and marry a religious sister. The both sinned strongly because they promise great vows to consecrate their lives and everything for Jesus but broke the vows.The purgatory topic in a book Martin Luther removed from protestant bible. In short, this book is very long and to be honest, i haven't read it all. I read some parts and the parts i have read it's about martyrs who died for Christ love. It's a very interesting book. So before martin Luther's change, the Bible ready to be read. I am not trying to make this controversial but I just hope for the love of God, for you to understand about this "pagan" stuff (according to you and others)
Hallow's eve is day to ask for these Saint people. Everyone who is in heaven is Saint already. They are there to pray for us so we can be Saints too and this way go to heaven. Matthew 5:8 shows that we have to be pure to see God. We may have the grace with the Lord but we may not be pure and we need purification.

The celebration of Christ's birth is pagan? Um, what??? Why do churches celebrate Christmas and Easter if they are pagan holidays?
