@@MusicissuperiorEVHROX316 He still performs but in much smaller places now..! Think he is on tour rigjt now or at least he was in the summer of 2024 .! 🤘
I think it's more like which one fit the material the best, you know? Yngwie never had a singer who couldn't sing like a mofo, they all had killer chops but I agree with you still JSS was the best fit, plus he had the ability to do the power metal ballady stuff, and the high pitched screaming but his voice had a cool roughness to it that I can't really recall many of the others having. Well, besides Tim Ripper Owens I suppose. The last time I saw Yngwie in person was 2013 or 14 and I don't recall that singer's name but he was great and I was even more impressed because he was also the keyboard player which was a surprise to me going in, I was expecting a stand alone vocalist like he usually had (up untill that time). The first time I saw him in 88 he had joe Lynn Turner, who was also great, again a great fit to the material Yngwie was writing at the time.
@@cmberrian You might be right, I'm just not into JLT that much. It goes back to Rainbows "Bent out of shape" when all the songs have love tveme.. I like " I surrender" , Spotlight kid* some other tunes but JLT changed Rainbow too much in that direction I believe.. In my opinion Rainbow"died" with that record.. A lot of Hard rock/ heavy metal was lost in the 80 ies by singing " lovesongs", but thats my opinion..! Cheers & Rock On..😎🤘🤘
@@patrickadolfsson4784 that's cool, I can appreciate that. I would think though that you might want to be put some of that blame on Blackmore too because I always had the impression that nothing happened in Rainbow unless he signed off on it. He probably was hoping to get some of that 80s metal ballad money for his own damn self. Or maybe I'm wrong and he didn't give a fuck about the lyrics at all and it was all JLT. I forget his name and I'm too lazy to pull up Google but I also liked the guy Yngwie had for Facing the Animal and the following live album, he was pretty good, not as gravely as JSS but not as operatic as a lot of the other dudes. Nowadays I hear Yngwie has his wife singing to save even more money on tour...lol.
@@cmberrian I think you are absolutely right about Rainbows decicions & Blackmore as it was his band! So he might have chosen JLT cause of his text writing as he did with DIO? A singer with a special theme in his lyrics( DIO = Dragons, soucery& magic.. JLT = LÖÖVE😉) as love seemed to be the thing in heavy music in the 80ies? ( JLT= Joe Lynn Turner) I had a pause from YJM cause he went to soft at that time so I'm not an expert on his singers from that era..Anyways I like YJM & his "shitty"attitude according to other musicians, I'm Swedish & I love that he is so "unswedish" in his approach, I'm sure of that most of his critics are cause of jealousy. I mean is there any man that don't want to be a rockstar & be able to do as you're pleased & still get payed!!?? So nice that you still listen to him, for me the original Rising Force (Anders& Jens Johansson, Marcel Jacob, JSS& YJM!) are the tightest of his setups by far!! Rock on& rember, more is more!! 😂😎🤘
I saw Yngwie twice in 1985 on his Viking Invasion - Rape & Pillage Tour. The first time was at the San Jose Civic Auditorium. Talas opened for Rising Force and Billy Sheehan played bass for both bands. The second time was "Day On The Green" in the Oakland Coliseum. The Scorpions headlined, but Metallica stole the show.

Yes because of JS Soto and the Johansson brothers.
Oh damn Jeff Scott Soto does an AMAZING job covering Graham Bonnie's vocals on Hiroshima mon amour!
Does Yngwie still perform it, or is it just here?

@@jamieb-mo3dl Yeah, I’ve heard. Unfortunately, Yngwie is his own worst enemy, and I think we can all agree that he’s let himself go over the years.
