Game Description ⮟
Welcome to UNDERTALE. In this RPG, you control a human who falls underground into the world of monsters. Now you must find your way out... or stay trapped forever.
((Healthy Dog's Warning: Game contains imagery that may be harmful to players with photosensitive epilepsy or similar condition.))
features:
Killing is unnecessary: negotiate out of danger using the unique battle system.
Time your attacks for extra damage, then dodge enemy attacks in a style reminiscent of top-down shooters.
Original art and soundtrack brimming with personality.
Soulful, character-rich story with an emphasis on humor.
Created mostly by one person.
Become friends with all of the bosses!
At least 5 dogs.
You can date a skeleton.
Hmmm... now there are 6 dogs...?
Maybe you won't want to date the skeleton.
I thought I found a 7th dog, but it was actually just the 3rd dog.
If you play this game, can you count the dogs for me...? I'm not good at it.

Reminder to all, don't spoil anything about the game.
Thank you! :D
Here's a question: would mentioning something she already got past, yet something she didn't know count as a spoiler? For example, I would love to just tell her what were the specific acts she needed to do in random encounters in ruins (stuff like froggits, vegetoids etc.) to spare the enemies, because she's already 2 episodes into snowdin and that info won't be needed until her 2nd playthrough.
@@DeadlyPL
I think that it's probably best to wait until she specifically asks "hey people watching, how do i (do/spare/get past) [X]" and then only tell her about [X].
If she spares the boy, she'll receive the message, and therefore will be motivated to try until she gets it right.
@@DeadlyPL
Seeing her tendency to run away rather than spare (spoilers below)
she may get past Undyne far faster than most players do!
@@IrvingIV Spoil everything about the game, got it!
Also, "Is.. is this friends? Are we friendship?" That was adorable. I too would like to friendship Papyrus
12:30 the moment deserves to be rewatched at least a couple more times!
Who DOESN’T want to friendship Papyrus?!
XD
I scrolled down to the comments specifically to find this reaction. xD
"See? you don't need Big Brain all the time!" Powerful advice. So wise.
It's reassuring.
Fun alternate route with the confusing color puzzle: Say you understand, and Papyrus will hit the switch, creating a Totally Random puzzle provided just for you! Except...it completely randomly creates a bridge of safe pink squares all the way across that you can walk over with no trouble. Papyrus sees this, and without saying anything, just sort of spins his way off the side of the screen in frustration/surrender.
your reaction to Jerry was so fitting for his character
Jape
noun
a practical joke.
It's a Middle English word. Papyrus is supposed to mimic old writing styles, so he sprinkles old words in. Just like Comic Sans is informal, so Sans makes jokes (is a comic) and is relaxed.
Papyrus speaks in British accent and sans speaks in a New Jersey accent
Spoiler free tip: you can use your bandage as a healing item! It is not totally useless!
The [sell] option in the shop is to make fun of more convetional RPGs in which shopkeepers will buy your branches and leaves and stuff. There's only one shop in the game that buys items, and you may not be able to find it
It's also in the best location in the game
“Is this friends? Are we friendship?” Goodbye, this is my new favorite thing! 😂😂
I cannot wait for you to reach the most interesting parts of the game. It is so great.
EDIT: By the way, as a lot of people told you in the comments, fleeing every enemy is a pretty bad thing for the experience. You miss a lot of charm the game has to offer, you cannot practice for fights that you can't avoid, and you don't win money.
You can still do it if you want, but I wanted to tell you that you are not meant to.
EDIT2: Temmie Chang is the talented artist who made the shop menu (and other arts through the game) !
Yeah this is something key, but in the end it's up to her I guess
@@KoffingOnion yeah. cf. my last sentence
Olsow tem ras big stori
I actually think the way she's playing will be interesting, because you can avoid like crazy and not move in bullet time and live, but y'know. Without revealing spoilers to anyone, the game will force her to take an action
@@walkerlocker6126 it’s interesting but (spoilers i think) the whole point of the game is somewhere else ; it suggests you to try to understand better the motives of your enemies, who they are, why they act like they do, before reacting violently to their own violence. To put in a nutshell, act peacefully towards violent behaviors to make a better world.
When you flee most of the fights…
TIL: You can skip the lesser dog fight. I love that fight and I hope you're able to see it someday.
A good way to look at battles is to see them as puzzles to solve. Usually it's a matter of using compassion or playfulness to figure out what each enemy wants out of the exchange. Using the Check skill and reading their dialogue can lend you hints on what to do.
18:22 The timing on walking into that puzzle was perfect. This might actually be the first time I've seen someone solve it in one try though. Also the first time I've seen someone use the best strategy for the move at 21:11 on their first try.
There’s a strategy to use so you don’t have to wait for the bridge before you can go across
You're back! We missed you, hope you're doing alright!
I am seconding this so hard. Great to have you back Counselor!
The funny thing is, your natural reaction to Jerry is so spot on. So glad you're back to this game!
Just a small correction since you already played the beginning of the game, when the rabbit meant a door locked for ages she meant the door you used to escape the ruins, the same door Toriel said she would destroy.
I'm actually impressed you remembered the Toriel symbol after such a long pause. Makes me excited to see what other "similarities" will you notice, because there's A LOT of them.
Some good advice might be to only start fleeing once you’ve successfully spared an enemy once. It’s important world building, good practice for learning how to dodge bullet patterns so the “boss monsters” aren’t impossible and plus you get money. I know others are saying the same things in the comments, but thought I’d give my take. You are doing fine otherwise, just try and enjoy it, and hopefully we won’t scare you away lol.
Also, there are a few monsters in this game that are not quite boss monsters, but really amazing to experience. So please don’t flee them if you can help it. There’s Lesser Dog which has already passed, but also another coming up soonish. If you want the name along with a slight hint, I’ll put it below after a spoiler warning. I’ll be as vague and spoiler free as possible. Good luck!
Slight Spoiler:
Shyren. Keep repeating a certain action even after their name turns yellow, and even as it “causes the battle to get harder.” To get the full experience, they will leave at the end, so no need to spare at all. It’s worth it I promise.
This isn't a spoiler since you can't go back. On the color tile puzzle, if you said that you did understand papyrus another scene where he doesn't leave would've played, a quite funny one
(just a part of the game where you can get two different outcomes, there's no right or wrong)
Thats a very spoiler free information. Nicely done!
Just got done watching through your Omori playlist, can't wait to see how you'll react to the rest of of undertale.
SAME! I mean I just watched the hikikomori route (because I've done the good route myself) but same here! :)
I'm more excited for Deltarune, feel there's more for her to analyze/share her perspective on like in Omori
-gasp- "Aw! You're too cute!"
5 second later
" OH FU-!"
best reaction to the dog, but indeed, it's really cute!
I am really enjoying your character analysis. With what little you know about these characters as a whole, you've managed to make some pretty spots on observations that will become more important later. It also goes to show how well written these characters are
I find it hilarious whenever she gets mad at random encounters, I relate to that alot.
I was playing OMORI, which has its encounters on the map, and it feels alot more fun too try and run around enemies as opposed to just having a random number generator decide when you fight. So when you switch to a game that uses that system from a game that doesn't you REALLY feel the difference.
Running away from monsters in this game would completely ruin the experience tho
By the way when you finish undertale, there is a great game by toby fox called deltarune! The two frist chapters are free, and the 3th in production, the game has amazing characters, soundtracks and undertale characters!
I feel like it's been quite a while since I've seen something that felt like a right and proper blind playthrough of Undertale, and I am absolutely here for it. There's a lot of fun to be had throughout the whole game, and I'm really looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the game as you continue to progress.
To open the door you must get a certain ending and dodge all of the [this is a spoiler], it is very hard to get
Fun fact: if you have the stick in your inventory in any of the dog encounters, you can attempt to use it through the item menu to play fetch with the dogs, which allows you to spare all of them very quickly (after a single turn, iirc).
Man, that was a long break but i know this is worth it.
Wow!! I literally found this series probably two hours ago. I just finished watching part 3 and suddenly the next episode just appeared!! Magic!
I know it can be confusing at first but I really do hope you end up enjoying the game. It really is something special.
You're lucky. We have been waiting for a month. At least she got the break she deserved.
Nice to see you're back! :D Also, good job picking up on Toriel's symbol being used on doors and such. I don't think I've seen any other blind players catch that.
19:40 No, you don't. You could have still crossed the bridge without doing the puzzle again.
I won't say what but you definitely did see something at 26:30...
9:37 - ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS!!! + Top tier editing to boot!
Glad you're back Counselor!
I found your channel through Omori and I'm so glad I found your channel I love your gameplay :)
as much I like this series, you keep fleeing all the enemies you can it just ruins the charm.
It so fun watching many different ways people play this game! You're doing great, keep it up!
At the very least, we know she isn't reading comments! So spoilers won't be an issue-
Everyone kept telling her to stop fleeing last episode too, but here we are; can't wait to see her react to bosses she can't flee from when she knows nothing about combat!
Lol, it’ll make the game more difficult in the long run if she continues to flee, but I definitely agree that seeing someone doing an unconventional strategy makes these playthroughs more unique than all the others. I understand why some of these comments are upset since we want her to do well but I truly think that it’ll all balance out eventually and everything will be alright once she gets to the end of the game (or once she does another play through)
((Idk if it’s just me, but I’ve noticed a vocal minority of the undertale community is really particular about how they like the game to be played, it likely stems from a wish to help other people on their play throughs, but at the end of the day it is usually comes across as more picky instead of helpful))
You're back! I've been so excited for you to continue this series! Can't wait to watch.
Your gameplays are so fun to watch time flies
33:31 feels like an Animal Crossing reference 😂
I'm happy to see you continuing this!! I'll only echo what other commenters have said, that running away from all fights isn't ideal, and also that you should probably stock up on healing items when you can! They're good to have.
I can totally relate to your eyeroll at the random encounters though 😂I felt the same
“Pomeranians… are those the fuzzy f***ers?”
This caught me SO OFFGUARD
I'm so glad you're back!! Breaks are important but I couldn't help myself from constantly looking back on your channel to see if you'd returned lol
This is such an interesting play through to watch. Because you’re a counselor in the entire point of the battle system for this game is to help figure out what makes the monsters happy and what they need emotionally and mentally to be happy. Then applying those things in battle to help the monster, be happy, and therefore end of the battle with both you and the monster alive, and with you receiving gold as a reward. And you keep intentionally running away from every single chance to do that in game and it’s kind of fascinating. Because the game is kind of uniquely made for someone of your profession, and this is what’s happening
Glad to see you back! These videos have been really fun so far. By the way idk if I’m just getting the wrong vibe (so correct me if I’m wrong), but I wanted to say that you don’t have to be nervous to spend a lot of time on acting, I know the attacks might seem a bit intimidating at first, but there are save points everywhere all the time to protect you, so it’s much more worth it (both for game enjoyment and gold) to try to act + spare a monster rather than flee. Don’t feel afraid to spend gold either, because you can always make it back later by sparing an easy enemy. ^.^
Anyway, I hope you have a lovely day, and I’m glad to see you back again! :D
Reminder that this game is an RPG, meaning enemies will always want to fight you. You'll be encountering them throughout most of the entire game.
I’ve never seen papyrus not activate the puzzle machine I’m loving this playthrough
That greater dog interaction was perfect😂
I've seen a lot of people on RUclips play this game blind. I think you'd find it interesting not only the characters but how the story affects the people playing it. I've noticed really interesting psychological patterns of the people playing this game blind and the choices they make. So keep that in mind, once you finish Undertale maybe consider watching some people's blind let's plays for yourself!
Aw a fun episode! Very glad we made it to Snowdin.
I'm exciting about you playing Deltarune more than Undertale because the amount of mind playing on it you'll love it so so much
I love Papyrus he is my favorite. Hes sweeter than cake!
can't wait for the contrast of playing something like, DOki Doki Literature club after this, i'm really having fun with the series and love seeing the spoiler avoidant comments :)
Most people move to the sides and wake up Greater Dog during the attacks, I think this is the first time I’ve seen someone go through the entire Greater Dog fight without waking them up!
Welcome back 😭🥺
I loved the video it was really entertaining! Hope you doing better now and im probably as excited as everyone else to see your playthrough in your way. I do think some battle practise is good but i think its fine as long as your having fun and generally playing the game the way you want.
Kinda sad that she didn't see how Sans teleports. He won't do something like this on this route anymore :(
Don't worry, she might play again after some certain post-ending dialogue
Tbh the tile puzzle has another cool way. You'll see what I mean if you ever visit it.
Not a spoiler.
YESSS IM SO HAPPY YOURE BACK!!
Very happy to see you back at youtube. Hope you are doing well, and are enjoying this game.
Welcome back! ✨ Hope the break was refreshing.
It's good to see your enjoying the game in your own way, that's all we can hope for !
I would highly recommend backtracking and getting the lesser dog fight done. it is ridiculously charming
Yay, you're back! great video :)
Yes! you finally posted another video. Good to see you again!
Also I really like your undertale playthroughs- keep it up!
So you came back! Awesome video as always! :)
I love this game, and I love seeing your reaction to it. Can't wait to see more of your undertale adventure!
13:20 It's more like we enjoy only doing things that interest us. Nothing is actually one of the few things humanity is incapable of doing for long. There have been studies and tests where a person was asked to stay in a room for a long period of time with nothing but a button inside it. When they pressed the button, it electrocuted them. After waiting a while, most of the participants pressed the button again despite knowing what would happen because they got really bored. People would rather be in pain than do nothing.
I’ve missed watching your videos, good to see you again!
love the work u put into the edits
Glad to see you back! Hope you're doing well :)
I love the fact that you are exploring and talking to everyone!
Yay! Welcome back!
Oh welcome back!
Happy to see you back again! Hope you're doing alright and are enjoying the game! Looking forward to see what you're going to do :D
I was getting worried until I realized that youtubers also need time to rest
Yeeeey u posted another video with undertale,im so happy
Shame she missed the joke of the tile puzzle
rewatching this because i need more of you and ut in my life. miss u.
Bonjour ! Je suis française, je vais utiliser Google traduction pour ce message, désolée ^^'
Good morning ! I am French, I will use Google translate for this message, sorry ^^'
I really like what you are doing on this game. I have watched several Let's Play, I know the game very well, but there are so many possibilities... I appreciate the fact that you are not influenced by the others. Admittedly, for those like me who already know, it can be frustrating to see new players not understanding "obviousness", but it's this exploration by oneself that is brilliant in this game!
You are the first one I see to prefer to move forward without fighting or talking, testing the limits of the characters (like claiming not to have understood Papyrus' explanations)... In short, this game is really a rediscovery at each Let's play and according to each player, it's a real pleasure to watch you play it!
I hope you'll have fun doing the sequel, and if there are any elements that give you trouble (blue attacks, the benefit of doing actions, Toriel's logo...), know that you have a benevolent audience that will be happy to help you!
I wish you a very good evening, take care of yourself !
26:30 first time I’ve seen someone backtrack and see it. Nice.
Btw I don't think your supposed to run away from every encounter cause it's very useful practise for later
Yeah, later bosses aren't as merciful as Toriel was...
Idk if you have a controller or a joystick, but that would really make the battles easier. You shouldn't flee so much.
Glad you're back! Hope you're doing fine! Don't overdo it
I was waiting for a moment to watch this video 😈 I've been working all day thinking about it
8:02 !?
What is this “pasta” you speak of?
The papyrus *I* know makes spaghetti.
Spaghetti Is A Pasta Type
In case you didn't figure it out yet, that door you saw in the cave wasn't the door to the RUINS- that was what you left from, remember?
Do you remember that "thing" you saw disappearing from the long bridge? Well, let's just say for now it wouldn't hurt to backtrack each room as you go forward. ESPECIALLY after you talk to someone important.
For your next big "fight," you shouldn't have to worry about getting good at dodging. After that, it would be a good idea to get some practice in.
Why don't you play the game for her at this point
'I'm not sure what this game is about, but it's interesting' finally a way to describe the game without spoilers! 😂
I was going to say she shouldn’t buy the cinnamon bun because it heals more than 20 HP… then I remembered
YEEEY, YOU'RE BACK!!
I'm so glad to see you again, what a beautiful day it is today
checking is useful
cant wait to see the rest of this series :))
You could be pleasently surprised if you interacted with the monsters you randomly encounter - like interacting with them in the way like you did with greater dog 😊
Btw, I hope you're doing ok! I'll always be happy to see a new video from you, I enjoy watching them! Just know that we're absolutely happy for you taking all the time you need for yourself, no need to rush to upload new videos 😊
Yay!! Your back i cant wait to see you continue 😊💖
Also guys don't spoil plz
Lol, i didnt even know this outcome at the randomly generated puzzle xD
Erm, You can deal with Lesser Dog 2 ways through several ways. using the stick as an item (throwing the stick) aka playing fetch, petting it through the ACTs which is most hilarious as the more you pet it its head the higher it goes eventually off-screen but comes back with it upside down with the flavor text getting more hysterical. Pity you skipped it by running away otherwise you would've got a kick out of it.
26:30
best friend says hi
Yo.
If you had
Papyrus’s spaghetti,
Do you gobble it,
Or just let it sit?
Yay. New episode. 😁
Its finally here yay!🥳✨
The fact that she keeps running away from encounters makes me stupidly sad
