I didn't get this at first but it's the Federation that's big and Starfleet is a smaller, sub-organization within the Federation, from Earth alone. Even though it has members of other races in it, it's still one organization originating on one planet. It doesn't possess the vast resources of the collective Federation.

I have no words, this is phenominal. One thing about the TOS asthetic is that the original design was utilitarian, the refit was supposed to refine the class. The Kelvin timeline evoked a raw power asthetic to show the Enterprise as the pride of Starfleet. This... This is magnificent, the blending of the refit and Kelvin asthetics was seamlessly done. Honestly if they had shown this at the end of Beyond, as i am now, i would have been in tears. Shes beautiful, stately, power envoking... Just an awesome job.
I am 50 years now. Since over 45 years ist Star Trek a Part of my life. 3:55 I could scream if I saw that. Sorry for my english. Greetings from Germany.
STUNNING !!! The level of detail is Hollywood and beyond! Those windows. Those bussard collectors. Just incredible work to say the least. Thank you !!!!!
I'm honestly not sure, probably would be a mixed bag just like everything else these days? But that's the reason I went ahead and did this design in the first place--I liked the Ent A design in Beyond BUT felt it wasn't really an evolution as it was a step sideways from the Ryan Church design.
There’s no denying the incredible level of detail in these awesome renderings and animations… But you can’t replace Jerry Goldsmiths iconic TMP theme for this. It’s just wrong
Agreed 100%. The right music was used for the leaving drydock sequence, it's too bad the original Goldsmith score wasn't used here as well. BVC Studios, any chance of a recut with the Enterprise track?
OUTSTANDING!!!! Bravo! From the twin turbolift silos at the back of the bridge module, to the docking ring retraction and extension on the shuttlepod, your attention to detail is fantastic! If I were in charge of Paramount and doing a reboot, you would be my first hire! Well done!
🖖😎👍Very cool and very nicely well done and executed in every detail way shape and form provided on this renovation and recreation of the Enterprise from Startrek the Motion Picture indeed!.
Now that's a beautiful model, you can even see the interior of the ship through the windows so I think it has a lot more details that the original model. Very well done.
I love 95% of this video. I love the much better translation of the Enterprise into the JJVerse, the slight upgrade on all of the models, and one of the few composers that could measure up to Jerry Goldsmith is Elliot Goldenthal and that track from Sphere is phenomenal. What kills it is the Enternal Light track. It completely kills the feeling that you got with even using "Leaving Spacedock" on your preview. If you stayed with that and played with the sound editing (or find another Elliot Goldenthal track), it would have been amazing. With this, I hope you're happy with a 9/10.
It’s great to see fans bringing new designs/ideas + that Enterprise looks great. But no ship will ever be as beautiful as the original re-fit Constitution. She’s as close to perfect as could ever be. This is fantastic work though, kudos... 👍
I .... I have trouble putting into words what I was feeling when I saw that you blended TMP refit with the Kelvin version and I think it was a great balance. Excellent work!!!
Superb work all around! I have watched this video close to a dozen times already. Amazing model designs, lighting, color, and attention to detail with the textures. Your visuals are top tier in my book. Keep up the amazing work. 🖖
@@BVCStudios I look forward to that video 😀 The refit and the Enterprise-A design has always been my favorite design in Star Trek. I was introduced to Star Trek as a little boy when it was just the first four movies on VHS before seeing my first TOS episode. So any Connie design that resemble those beautiful girls will always be loved.
This movie came out when I was in college. We had waited 10 years for Star Trek to come back since it was cancelled by NBC. How I wish this scene had been done like this new clip. It is so WAY over the top better than the boring original footage was. Bravo!
FTR (For the Record) - Yes, I was expecting the Jerry Goldsmith music.... However, b/c this is your, "Creative", spin on this particular sequence, I have to give you credit for taking a chance of being creative in making this video. After a couple of views, I've grown to like this musical score. Also, this is now my FAVORITE Enterprise!!! I REALLY like this design A LOT!!! GOOD JOB!! BTW... I'd like to see how you'd redesign the Klingon ships.
Great job, the Kelvin touch is really good, but l tell you that the nostalgia effect of the original TMP cannot be replicated. The Constitution refit is number 1 design, but your concept does not disappoint.
How dare you! 😂 This is absolutely amazing and beautifully done. If someone was going to change the refit I don't know that it could have been done any better. 👏🏽👏🏽
Nice job on the radio traffic. But the squelch breaks are a little too prominent for digital radio transmissions. By that century their would just be clear voice transmissions with no distinguishable squelch, or repeater breaks. It would just sound like a digital phone conversation. 2 people standing next to each other speaking normally. But what the Hell, its sci-fi.
you're right of course, I just pulled some police chatter to throw in the back. With a scene that busy you'd def have an open line so everyone knew what everyone else was doing to prevent accidents/collisions In the final version I'll refine all the rough edges =)
Perfection 🥰 💞 even the music went so beautiful in this. I wad hoping this would've been the enterprise-a at the end of star trek beyond but if we get a remake or anything this is what we need.
Every single time I see those ball phaser turrets on the upper hull, I think of the USS Kelvin and Kirk's father George firing reams of phaser fire at the Romulans.
We needed the TMP soundtrack. That sort of music, you simply don't casually toss to the side. Also, the travel pods doors retracted into the body of the shuttle.
This is the clip I refer to whenever I ask the question: What happened to the missing year? Kirk has been CSO for 2.5 years and Enterprise is just finishing up 1.5 years of redesign/Refit. That's why I believe that this Enterprise is brand new. Starfleet needed a year to scrap the old one.
What a beautiful ship. Now if we could push this timeline further and keep the general design language (especially the pylons) for the B, C, and D, I would be happy.
Shatner acted this one to perfection. The look in his eyes, as they approach the Enterpise, is the look of a man seeing his bride.
My favorite
Starfleet as big as it is there is never another starship within range of the mostest important location of the Federation of Planets.
Isn’t the disposition of fleet assets the responsibility of the Chief of Starfleet Operations? Hmmm …
There were only 13 Starships in the whole fleet. That is a lot of galaxy to cover
I didn't get this at first but it's the Federation that's big and Starfleet is a smaller, sub-organization within the Federation, from Earth alone. I'm a die hard refit man but this here is gorgeous.
This is without doubt the best blend of the old and new design imo.
This really should have been the design we got at the end of Beyond. Good job.
I suppose this design could still happen when that timeline approaches V'ger's return. After all, they're still pre-TOS.
This is what we should have gotten in Star Trek 09. The number of people calling it the Uglyprise would have plummeted.
