My daughter is starting lessons on Saturday I hadn’t even thought of a onesie what an amazing idea for keeping it simple. Going to invest in one and some ugg boots for sure!
I used to do some of these things .. couldn’t do onesies sadly as had use public transport as medically can’t drive so always harder with 5 kids and felt like had take so much stuff lol 😹. I did get the costumes and such on before left and under normal clothes . I would take snack and water bottle and have one them strings bags each for them carry some as they got a little older . Then bigger bag I would have with other bits in . Your tips are great I think as makes things so much easier I found out when raising so many little ones :)
Love love love the onesie idea. My girls wear swim hats, well baby doesn't but she doesn't have much hair! 🤣 So no dealing with wet hair which is great. I also put their hair in braids too. Xx
What do you do when you go swimming with the children? I have to get in the water to assist my eldest who has profound needs. So wondered how you handle this?
When I was little I used to do swimming lessons for a while, I stopped when I was nine. Our swimming pool was super close to our house and our swimming lesson was on a Sunday morning (hints why I stopped!) so I would get out of my pyjamas then put my swim suit on and then put some outfit over the top. Then after the lesson I would get changed back then for home for a shower, forgotten what the outfit was though. The lesson began to get late in the morning so you couldn't really do much, pluss it was tiring for me and I wasn't enjoying it.
my little boy has done 4 lessons now his 9 but he is autistic and finds it hard for water to be in his face ,were not giving up and we will just keep taking him and trying new things ,has this ever been a problem for your two little ones ? xx
Also, I found that simpler swim suits were much more comfortable for me as a kid, sometimes costumes with sequins, extra details or funny and unnecessary stringy bits were itchy or just plain annoying for me :)
