Good stuff, Wayne. We were watching the end of an era back then. The days of the DJ picking most of the music and being conversational on the air was coming to an end. Thanks for posting this, it was great. 👍👍
Great trip down memory lane! Love the local scenes & graphics mixed in. I worked weekends at the Blairstown station in the mid 80s to early 90s. We once met at a reunion that Patricia Judge coordinated.
Wayne, 40+ years ago and your voice sounds exactly the same. Hitting those posts. Great photos too. Very enjoyable trip down WCRV memory lane,
grew up in Newton, NJ. Great times back then!
May 27, 1983. Hope you are doing well, Wayne. Drew
This gives me some courage to digitize a tape or two of my own.
You remind me of my brief time in radio in high school and college. I’ve never lost the bug and love of it. You did WCBS. Well in your years there.
Good stuff there. I listen most every morning to Wayne on WCBS.
I listen mainly off air here in Tryon, NC. Stays in till 8AM most days.
Just listened to Wayne sign off for the last time on 880. So sad!
Yeah, I listened last night to their final memories of WCBS.

My uncle is a legend! Born for radio.
Wayne,
Hi
Where can I follow you from here now that WCBS / Audacy did a bad thing
Thank You
You always sound incredible Wayne. One of the BEST voices and deliveries in the broadcasting industry!

Thanks Goodguy! What’s your name, hopefully I’ll remember meeting you.
@Manunkachunk Bill Reilly is the name. I worked Sunday mornings most of the time there. And scattered fill-ins.
Wow were you like 16 working there? Lol.
Hope you had a nice Christmas holiday
-Very cool Wayner!
