You just can’t be a kid anymore with no responsibilities unless you work for it. Which in the grand scheme of things is more plausible than the freedom of childhood. You EARN those moments instead of just living it. We also see the past through rose colored glasses and forget how much torment and sadness was in our childhood as well. We only register the greatest moments in our memory. I get nostalgic about simpler times, but if I truly think back on it I can remember a lot of horrible moments which in retrospect might not be so bad compared to now, but it’s all relative to your experiences. Keep making new memories!
