Gammonwood English mastiffs are the best I've seen, agile, fit, athletic dogs and there pieds are awesome shame the judges don't like the color way...but Gammonwood mastiffs are easy the best.
Thanks for the brilliance of this video! It shows the dogs in all their glory; the way every dog should look be it at a show or just lounging around on the sofa at home. Most impressed that the dogs are clearly enjoying being shown off by their handlers (as well as most of the handlers seem to be enjoying the dogs)! And the judge was enthusiastic about interacting with such Majestic dogs! Enjoyed every second and hope to see more videos shared!
This is a good video; especially appreciated the fact that very few (one?) of them had their ears cut or tails docked. I like seeing them they way they were born. I had an English Mastiff several years ago and everybody in the neighborhood loved her. I've had several dogs since I was a kid, but the one I liked the most was my English Mastiff, Tinkerbell. Oh, and the music wasn't that pseudo-macho ghetto crotch music either. Thanks npk
I love big dogs. That pyrenean mastiff was beyond merely beautiful. I liked the beginning when you see some of these big monsters playing like puppies.
You can see the Newfoundland in the Tibetan Mastiff. I know there is uncertainty as to the newfies past but I see Tibetan in them. My newfie even has his tail curl up over his back which is not proper for a show dog but I have him only as a pet.
You did a great job at making the video i just wish there was more mastiff breeds in there like the central asian shepherd, caucasian shepherd, great dane, bully kutta, saint bernard, king shepherd, english mastiff, ect
i love seeing some english mastiffs not overfed to the point they are practically obese, all to say you have the heaviest dog ect, there is one at 5:53 that to me is the ideal size for an english mastiff
Aye maybe so. It IS the body shape and size i prefer on mastiffs though, My 8 month cane da presa is looking like he will be the same rough size and shape of that dog when fully grown
My English mastiff at his last vet check was 238lbs. He is beautiful, and very active. He is just a large baby. We let him run with a pup parachute to keep his endurance up and keep his hips strong and healthy. The breed wants to be large and fit. With the right balance of food and exercise our family member english is a large goofball who loves sitting in my lap and playing soccer with his purple bowling ball for fun.

I'm glad they showed the original Tibetan mastiff not the enhanced Chinese Tibetan mastiff. I owned one I must tell you contrary to their look, they are very calm, intelligent and friendly dogs however only suited for mountainous and colder regions.
@@user-ze7ml6ec9m no these were the modified tibetan mastiffs. The original tibetan mastiff looks like the Chinese version. Btw there are two types of tibetan mastiffs in China - do khyi and tsang khyi. Do khyi is used by nomads to protect livestock from predators while tsang khyi is a heavier tibetan mastiff with more wrinkles and is used for guarding monasteries. The tibetan mastiffs in this video are the western tibetan mastiff which are smaller than the original tibetan mastiff.
It is a mastiff type breed. It's not a mastiff, though, because there's only one true mastiff and that's the English one. I guess they didn't have any Boerboels at that championship.
I'm an Aussie and I have seen English and Bull Mastiffs and just Mastiffs on the net they all seem to be the same to me, is there any difference or is it just different countries calling the same dogs different names. Foe example the Americans call Fox Terriers, Rat Terriers and Coolies, Australian Shepherds
They are all different breeds. And they are very different just like there are different kinds of shepherds , terriers or retrievers. Yes, lots of countries have their own mastiff. Most are from Europe but the Dogo Argentina isnt.
I have a reverse brindle english mastiff, at his last vet check he graduated to the big boy scales weighing in at 238lbs. He is very active and like a big baby. There are huge differences between the english mastiff and a bull mastiff. Both are beautiful, wonderful breeds, but there is most definitely a difference.
