- I take a walk through Quincy, MA during the holiday season. This city is known as being the birthplace of John Hancock, John Adams, and John Quincy Adams. It has a well-defined city center featuring two Christmas trees and many businesses. It is also the home of the original Dunkin' Donuts location.

My home town😮basically your walking my old paper route 👍
I was born in Quincy City Hospital in 1956. We lived in Weymouth until I was ten, then headed to the Midwest. I’m always nostalgic for the New England vibe.
The Globe or Herald Traveler?
The day to night transition is awesome.. so many memories driving home after work during the holiday seasons!
Hey there. The Adams President’s, and John Hancock, where actually born in Braintree. The city then changed. So, they were born in Braintree. Glad that you mentioned it.
Ouincy is rich in the Adam's family history such a great intro AK. But the walk to Dunkin Donuts was worth it. Even the customers were proud of it's history very kool .
Glad you enjoyed it! It was so cool to visit the original Dunkin’ Donuts
Lovely New England town; thanks for the walk!
You’re welcome!
The city of Quincy was called Braintree when the Adams presidents lived there. Braintree was then then split up and the section next to Milton and Dorchester was renamed to Quincy. So, technically they were born in Braintree, but the house is in the same spot on Adams Street that it always has been.
Great info
Nice walk and nice christmas decorations like the Snowman at 2:13 and the Santa Claus at 2:20 , beautiful buildings and the beautiful christmas trees🌲🌲😎Overall great walk and the beautiful city 🙂Thank you for sharing A K 🙂👍!!!
They really have some gorgeous decorations up!

Beautifully decorated Park 👀❤️
Quincy is a coastal U.S. city in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States.
It is the largest city in the county and a part of Metropolitan Boston as one of Boston's immediate southern suburbs.
Its population in 2020 was 101,636, making it the seventh-largest city in the state.
Known as the "City of Presidents", Quincy is the birthplace of two U.S. presidents-John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams - as well as John Hancock (a President of the Continental Congress and the first signer of the Declaration of Independence) and the first and third Governor of Massachusetts.
First settled in 1625, Quincy was briefly part of Dorchester before becoming the north precinct of Braintree in 1640.
In 1792, Quincy was split off from Braintree; the new town was named after Colonel John Quincy, maternal grandfather of Abigail Adams and after whom John Quincy Adams was also named.
Quincy became a city in 1888.
For more than a century, Quincy was home to a thriving granite industry; the city was also the site of the Granite Railway, the United States' first commercial railroad.
Shipbuilding at the Fore River Shipyard was another key part of the city's economy.
In the 20th century, both Howard Johnson's and Dunkin' Donuts were founded in the city.
There's so much early US history in Quincy, MA! 27:00 It was quite interesting to see the original Dunkin' Donuts location and their logo is completely different than their current one. It was good timing for you to see the Christmas lights all lit up at the Quincy City Hall area, and that was such a treat to watch. What a perfect moment to conclude this video! 🤩🎄 Thank you so much for this informative Christmas walk, AK! 🤗
I’m happy I came back when the lights turned on
@@ActionKid I might be going to Quincy but looking for a homeless resources center Massachusetts streets are safer being homeless than NYC.
What a lovely city 💕
i live here in Quincy.. come visit
Great video. Next time definitely visit the North Quincy area. And if you're in town when it's warmer, take a stroll down Quincy Shore Drive where Wollaston Beach is.
If you go to North Quincy Hancock street it’s Asian town galore so many Asian food places and Asian markets!
You should have started in Quincy center Hancock street and walked to Wollaston then North Quincy. All the way thru on Hancock street.
The Christmas lighting in the park, the two colorful Christmas trees, the whole setup was totally wonderful to see. Total dark would be awesome. Thanks for the walk Ken.
You’re welcome! It’s so beautiful
Very nice, clean, picturesque city.
Hi There
Great Vlog! I’ve been to that DD in the past very cool to know that’s the original to bad you didn’t go inside and get yourself a coffee for the walk back
Wow, what a picturesque, really typically "American" town!
Great video, loved it. This is obviously a suburb to a much bigger city than where I live, but it sort of reminds me of my home Green Bay Wisconsin. It's just shows me that I need to get out and hit the streets and actually walk on the sidewalks and streets that I drive by everyday.
Hey, you came to visit my hood!! You should have come up further North we got all the good food!! :D
Beautiful AK
Quincy looks remote like White Plains to Manhattan.
Very informative video as always ActionKid! Fun walk and it was really cool to see the original D&D. 🚶♂👍😎
Much appreciated!
You are actually in the county of presidents, Norfolk County. The 2 Adams presidents, father and son. Next town over is Milton and George Herbert Walker Bush was born there. A little further over is the town of Brookline and President John F. Kennedy was born there. I believe it was Beal Street, Brookline.
