The FAA’s Community Education series was created to help the public better understand our complex National Airspace System, the part the FAA plays in addressing and mitigating issues related to noise, and how advancements further innovation and increase efficiencies in aviation. Here, we discuss how sound and noise are defined and measured, what the FAA and aviation industry are doing to address noise, and how communities can collaborate with the FAA on aviation noise-related concerns.

Castle aviation from ohio shoook our house about a week ago three nights in a row at 3am flying at 8000feet. Air canada did the same thing at 130am. I guess they didnt get the 7 am 10 pm memo or when they fly over canada they just didnt care. How comes its ten pm in usa and 12am in canada ? Doesnt make sense 12am to 7am thats all you get for sleep if they dont break the rules flying at night which some of them do here in canada you know that amount of noise pollution affects wildlife too rite.
