Watched this film in the cinema when it was released. Very few people understood or wanted to understand the history of the genocide of the original nations. Not then and not now. No country has an unblemished past. We are just trying to move forward away from such actions. Unfortunately , wars are very lucrative for certain groups and individuals. The peasants and peons of the world, pay the price in pain and blood, to enrich their masters.
Yes right back to Cromwell in Ireland the British army in the Highlands stealing Africans from there homeland and turning them into slaves the nazis slaughtering a whole race off people ethnic cleansing in Bosnia it goes on and on
This film geniunely sickened me! The disgusting violence and massacres of villagers Indian women and children! . Genocide committed by the Army! Disgusting and Disgraceful! It’s one thing to talk about but when you actually see what it really was it makes my stomach turn.
@@skyrimwarrior That is not true. It was the US army. It was the Third Colorado Cavalry under the command of U.S. Army Colonel John Chivington. Nor was it the first or last atrocity committed by the U.S. Army during the American Indian Wars.
@@oab1598 the 3rd Colorado Cavalry unit was a Militia, not a unit of the army. His members were lowlivers with zero to very low military experience that signed for only 100 days, and were called 100ers. They were not a military unit.

Un film bellissimo..mi è rimasto molto impresso nella mente.. ho visto che il film è del 1970...ma sono sicuro di una cosa ..a quell'epoca era vietato ai minori di 14anni x le scene terribili di violenza soprattutto nella parte finale..avevo 14 all'epoca...mi è molto piaciuto...uno dei più bei western che io abbia visto..e non esagero.
