Δυστυχώς στάθηκε αδύνατο να βρω του στίχους από αυτό το κομμάτι, οπότε δεν έχω ιδέα τι ακριβώς λέει!!! Όποιος γνωρίζει κάτι, καλοδεχούμενο!
Πάντως, η Mari Boine, συνήθως αναφέρεται στην φύση και στην εσωτερική σχέση του ανθρώπου με αυτήν, σε συνάρτηση με παραδοσιακά στοιχεία της φυλής της Sami, από την Λαπωνία, που τείνει προς εξαφάνιση.

I agree with you. One of the reasons that I love Marie Boine is that she is trying to preserve the traditions of her tribe and she respect the nature. Of course the main reason is that she has excellent voice!!!!

A few days ago I was in Norway and I already miss it. I wish I could go there again as soon as possible. Such a great country with a beautiful landscape and of course the breath taking and amazing lights. The music perfectly reflects the country with the animals, the people and the nature. Love it!

As far as I can tell with my limited knowledge of the language the lyrics is as follows: Cappa Maze, golle Maze (Beautifull, golden Maze) Cahce vuollai aiggui biddjat Maze girkku Maze skuvla (They wanted to put the church in Maze and the school in Maze under water) The yoik was composed by Mattis Hætta. The lyrics is probably written by Mari Boine and refer to a hydroelectric project that was twarted.
It was not twarted, it is still there....

I love Mari Boine's music. Wow, fascinating. I was told that I was "Irish and Norwegian" growing up. After DNA testing my test showed that I am 4% East Asian. Our Scandinavian history goes back to Northern Norway around Tromso area, northern Sweden with some FInish. I also found out I am almost 25% Ashkenazi DNA decent coming from Jessel, Wallenstein and Bernstein families from the Rhineland/ Altace of France and Hungry and also Argentina Sephartic, On my fathers side I found out through research I am related to the Queen of Scots, and Irish King I have a little English and Cypriot ancestry. I know the Norwegian families took farm names but it is difficult to trace our Sami surnames. I found all this later in life. Who knew? Found this all later in my life. What is interesting is that some of my mom's family are from North and South Dakota as well although, I do not have any Souix heritage.

Το ίδιο CD έχω και εγώ. Νομίζω δεν υπάρχει πουθενά αλλού στην δισκογραφία της Mari Boine και μου προκαλεί εντύπωση γιατί η Boine είναι πολύ δημοφιλής, τουλάχιστον στις Σκανδιναβικές χώρες και έχει και μια αξιόλογη δισκογραφία. Πάντως το συγκεκριμένο τραγούδι από την πρώτη στιγμή που το άκουσα το ερωτεύτηκα!!! Παρ' όλο που δεν έχω ιδέα τι λένε οι στίχοι (δεν υπάρχουν πουθενά, απ' όσο γνωρίζω) μιλάει στην καρδιά μου.... Και θα το έχω ακούσει και χιλιάδες φορές από τότε.... και πάντα το ίδιο νιώθω.
Είναι εκπληκτικό που μια Ελληνίδα ακούει αυτή τη μουσική. 💯💖
Ναι, είναι πράγματι απίστευτο κομμάτι..... Νομίζω ότι η λύση στην κρίση είναι να στραφούμε όλοι προς το έσω μας και προς τις ρίζες μας, δηλαδή την φύση, κάτι που η Boine κάνει με την μουσική της.....
Μιλάει για ένα χωριό στη Νορβηγία, το Maze το οποίο έχει κυρίως Σαμι πληθυσμό.

As much as I appreciate everyone enjoying sami music, many of these comment just reek of cultural appropriation. There is no "sami tribe" and Lapland is a region in Finland. Used on other areas, the term is offensive. Please stop.
Lets just focus on Joik instead. The beautiful traditional musical artform. And the music in the background might change over the years, but a yoik is a yoik.
You should never feel personally attacked just because people dont know everything. The fact that they show interest is a good thing, you should not discourage it. Please stop.
