The facial expressions and the *BODY EXPRESSIONS* In your animation! Are just! So! Choice!!! They super amplify the scene and all the little motions of the hands and head during Taako dropping his glamor and Kravitz's "I love you" are touching, just, absolutely tugging at them heartstrings!

Honestly, I love Taako's design here. So much of the art has him looking like a wafer-thin androgynous-but-leaning-towards-feminine elf. And I'm not saying that's wrong. But he's male here, and solidly built, and beautiful even with the buck teeth and freckles that most people think aren't attractive. And the way his ears move around to show his mood is amazing. And all of this is just so good. It makes me think less of the "ethereal elf" that we see him as, and more like the real, inspired by Justin McElroy, crass words with a heart of gold (if not silver), Taako that I get when I listen to the show. I don't know if that makes any sense at all, but I hope it does. Thank you for animating one of my favorite scenes.

I honestly got so tired of the kind of ethereal skinny elf designs back when I was drawing for taz a lot - like you said they're not necessarily *wrong* they just feel... very unimaginative and bland to me personally. I think what really changed things for me was seeing an interview with justin where he talked about never getting to play bigger people (like him) in video games I think specifically, and I thought wow, yeah it kind of sucks that everyone is just twinkifying his character left and right lol. Probably more of a response than you bargained for here haha but anyway thank you for the lovely comment ^^
