Tremonti has everything to be one of the top guitarists today. Great songs that never disappoint, he doesn't seem to be a cocky guy and take the time to explain precisely what he's playing because he cares about the fact a lot of guitarists listen to his work. Hat off
+Le Monde de Rico For me as a 44 year old who fell in love with Creed because of Mark!!! I sat where I could only see Mark!! He looks manly, and so do them boys.... I love it!!!! He makes me want to tare the paint off the walls.... I gotta switch to Blind Mellon to come back down!! Bwahaha Good job he's RIPPER!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Le Monde de Rico Mec je contribue a t'amener en top commentaire, ton commentaire est tellement censé. Mark Tremonti est un genie doublé d'un montre de la guitare et de composition. Horns Up
OMG! Thank You Mark.. You don't have to do these, but the fact that You do, shows how much You care.. There's not a better person to teach me how to play Tremonti than.. Tremonti himself :P
I'm sure he could do a slash bullshit interview about what color shirt he was wearing when he wrote it, or even just show a main riff. Doing the whole thing is pretty cool of him.
One incredible experience. Answered all my questions, took the time to show us step by step what WE wanted to learn. Awesome guy to just chat with about music.
Mark ... You are the reason why I practice everyday (I'm almost 40 ) but for 25 years , I was casual few chords player) and wasted that time ,never trying to get solid guitar skills. You are My God. I'm never gonna waste another day without practice and get where I want and should be right now. Starting from fingering, picking, learning how to use my 4 fingers not only 1 or two. I'm lefty , I managed to get myself nice Floyd Steve Vais signature piece, because I couldn't go that far beyond 12 fret if it's comes to solos. Don't know shit about scales, but I'm learning every day now. Everything because of You . God bless You. Time will tell. THANK YOU FOR AMAZING AB / TREMONTI riffs and songs.
I love Tremonti as a guitar player but I like watching his videos just for his guitar. No matter which color he's using I think its the best looking guitar on the market.
Myles got a rare & great magical vocals these ages & when I first discover Alter bridge after big rock bands I assume Mark tremonti to be an ordinary band member but He is the a damn Genius Guy of the Era like he has a great music sense He is great musician lyricist very symphonic metal guitarist what else is left behind..Please come back Alter bridge
Calling him an ordinary ban member would be correct worth how he played early Creed stuff, but this guy has gone on to be top 5 on Earth. He just works so hard at it. Morello might be a natural, Tremonti is a hard worker.
I highly respect Mark for taking time to show to his fans all the details of his songs. This is truly amazing, never seen any artist showing so much care to his fans. 🔥
Mark is a very good guitar teacher. I watched Myles do a tutorial and he struggled explaining stuff but this comes naturally to Mark. He's very underrated in my opinion and he's very versatile.
That's funny, myles used to be a guitar teacher lol. Mark is the man though. he inspired me to pick up the guitar many years ago and he's still a major influence in my playing
Mark learned from tutorial videos I think , whereas I guess myles learned from pissheads in jazz clubs !! explaining things is probably more something mark is familiar with =^p
Mark did indeed learn by his thumb via watching alot of videos and essentially taught himself - that's probably why he is so up for doing stuff like this because it helped him become who he is today. =) But yeah, Myles was a guitar teacher that is true xD
@@mariaemiliarodriguezcruz5226 yeah I know but that's the weird thing... I've seen the tutorial in question -- it was Cry of Achilles -- and Myles does suck at lessons
8:00 OMG, the bridge on its own somehow sounds like something from Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory! O.O I mean just the tonality of it. In the album Mix it so much different. Anyway, I love it (maybe even a little bit more now)! 10:26 Mic level is over 9000! (extreme clipping at that one part there, lol)
I'm pretty sure the only thing keeping me from playing this is not having that PRS. Or it could be not having that kind of skill. Either way, it's awesome that Mark takes the time to put these videos out. Huge thanks, huge respect!!
I was going through a lot i was down but then I found this song and it fueled me and this is exactly what I was searching for this song become my way and now m walking on it thanks to" tremonti"🤘⚡🤘
I'll forever associate this song with Fallout 4. A few years ago, I discovered a mod that someone had put up on the XBOX version that included a bunch of Tremonti songs, including this one. I spent many hours playing modded Fallout 4 while Tremonti songs were playing in the background. Been a big fan ever since.
He is awesome! He is inspiring me all the time, my practice is his solos. Every single technique that i am working on comes from his playing. Good guy and awesome composer!
We need brand new "solo and song teaching" session with Mark. For the new albums I believe. Because even if someone plays it perfectly it sounds like diffrerent than Mark. I can say that as a person who watches every tutorial for Alter Bridge and Tremonti Project.
the thing is many fans of Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci and many others haven't heard Mark Tremonti while most Tremonti fans are quite aware of John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert and others
Great lesson! Love his rhythm tone, great recording here! Just one tiny mess up on the theory aspect: the solo is in phrygian dominant, which is true, but the difference between phrygian dominant and phrygian minor is not the major (or raised sixth, as he called it). The difference would be the major third, just thought I'd clear that up here :) great lesson nonetheless!
Pimise He and Myles and pretty much 50/50 the mind of Alter Bridge, Brian and Scott (and Elvis of course) give the criticism and some ideas, but these two are on another level when it comes to songwriting, throwing back ideas at eachother. However, if I had to say the one who is more involved, I would say Myles, Mark himself has said that he has finally found, in Myles, a person in the world that stresses about his writing and recordings more than him, which is almost impossible. These dudes are absolutely two of the best musicians of this era.
Myles has rubbed off on him a great deal. Listen to the Myles solo record and you’ll really hear just how much of an impact he’s had on Mark as a melodic songwriter.
I think the sound of the Mesa Rectifier does not lend itself to Solo numbers very well. Even if you play well that tone makes everything sound fizzy and harsh. Why didn't they set up his regular solo rig sound for these tutorials? Same thing goes for the Alter Bridge Fortress Sound and the story DVD. Yes he did mess up some stuff in the tutorial but I would have too with that sound. That sound is unforgiving even degrading haha! :)
AlundMusic he also likes more tube screamer sound which I think makes clean sounds fizzy and harsh. Then again his Mark he can do whatever he wants. XP
AlundMusic odds are these are shot while he's on the road and has time to stop at fret 12 head quarters, I'm willing to bet the setup he uses for the dvds stays there or are stock they have on sale. Mostly seems like a convenience thing along with his normal rig would probably be too loud/strong for this purpose.
dime core Yes it is. My guess is that he showed up wearing something that they couldn't put in the video for trademark reasons, so they just had him flip it.
When you have such Tuning, does he play the chords according to the that tuning or he plays the chords with the normal names ( standard tuning ) and enjoy the sound in alternate turning, Wanted to ask cause i want to know the chord names he's using,
kiba vlood Usually when teaching he (and other gitarists for that matter) just uses the chord names as it where in E/Drop D. But since he plays a half step lower the actual chord names would be different. For example; if he's saying 'play an open D5' that'd be a Db5 in this tuning.
Tremonti has everything to be one of the top guitarists today. Great songs that never disappoint, he doesn't seem to be a cocky guy and take the time to explain precisely what he's playing because he cares about the fact a lot of guitarists listen to his work. Hat off
I completely agree with what you say. He is a great guitarists..one of my favorites. Love his solo records..very heavy!!
+Le Monde de Rico Everything you say goes for Myles Kennedy too. Top guys, great players and vocalists too.
Luka Nikolic
Of course! For me Myles is the best rock vocalist today!
+Le Monde de Rico For me as a 44 year old who fell in love with Creed because of Mark!!! I sat where I could only see Mark!! He looks manly, and so do them boys.... I love it!!!! That PRS guitar is just gorgeous.😁
kokl
check out Mark Holcomb's signature guitar!
The Man has taste
wipe0utpuls3 nah not quite as nice looking
I know right, what's even cooler is his name on the truss rod cover!!
This is a man that has to have 30 guitars on tour. All his songs are tuned differently. They all sound amazing too
Thanks again Mark for taking the time to do this. I wish more artists did this
Ian Lang you are so right, my friend!
mark tremonti best guitarrist of this time.
Saw Alter Bridge last week and seeing Tremonti playing guitar is one of the most beautiful things in the world
I always enjoy artists who aren't afraid to show and help their musician fans play their songs. Thanks Mark!
My favourite guitarist at the moment ✊🏻
OMG!
Thank You Mark.. You don't have to do these, but the fact that You do, shows how much You care.. There's not a better person to teach me how to play Tremonti than.. Tremonti himself :P
He and Fret12 make money off these tutorials by promoting Sound and the Story. Just saying :P
I'm sure he could do a slash bullshit interview about what color shirt he was wearing when he wrote it, or even just show a main riff. Doing the whole thing is pretty cool of him.
He is not in it for money. The band come out to meet the fans after every show. He is a True Inspiration.
12:05 “so that’s that lick”
Awesome Mark piece of cake thank you
Yeah right… like you can! 😂
Truly a "Guitarist of the Decade"!
I'm holding my breath for tutorial for every song!
Can't wait to meet him this Sunday and attend his guitar clinic!
How'd it go?
One incredible experience. Answered all my questions, took the time to show us step by step what WE wanted to learn. Awesome guy to just chat with about music.
Watching Mark mess up sometimes gives me hope :D
Lol where did he mess up
Andrew Perez during the lesson part. He messed up at like 7:49
He is finally human 😁
Mark ... You are the reason why I practice everyday (I'm almost 40 ) but for 25 years , I was casual few chords player) and wasted that time ,never trying to get solid guitar skills. You are My God. 4:47 That palm muting riff could demolish a whole 50 story building!!!
saidoterodiseno I know right! It's heavy as fuck
I love Tremonti as a guitar player but I like watching his videos just for his guitar. No matter which color he's using I think its the best looking guitar on the market.
Tremonti is one of the most underrated guitarist of all time! Fucking love the guy!
You have the most vicious looking speed metal right hand when it gets goin fast. Idk what it is but it is gnarly AF
Who else can teach this awesome song ? Except him :-) perfect. Thanks Mark. I will try.
Each part of the solo is so meticulous, shows how much thought goes into each one
He is Alter Bridge he didn't leave the band! He is one of the founding members
Calling him an ordinary ban member would be correct worth how he played early Creed stuff, but this guy has gone on to be top 5 on Earth. He just works so hard at it. Morello might be a natural, Tremonti is a hard worker.
Excellent! 😊
I highly respect Mark for taking time to show to his fans all the details of his songs. This is truly amazing, never seen any artist showing so much care to his fans. 🔥
Mark is an incredible song writer, also that guitar is gorgeous

JamCave Studio But Myles IS a guitar teacher, professionally speaking.
@@mariaemiliarodriguezcruz5226 yeah I know but that's the weird thing... I've seen the tutorial in question -- it was Cry of Achilles -- and Myles does suck at lessons
Mark is awesome! I follow a lot of guitarists and he is definitely underrated.
Gonna hear this tune in 2 days LIVE!!! \m/ Can't wait to meet Mark :)
8:00 OMG, the bridge on its own somehow sounds like something from Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory! O.O I mean just the tonality of it. In the album Mix it so much different. Anyway, I love it (maybe even a little bit more now)!

sick guitar player and songwriter. one of the best in this genre!
I'm pretty sure the only thing keeping me from playing this is not having that PRS. Or it could be not having that kind of skill. Either way, it's awesome that Mark takes the time to put these videos out. Huge thanks, huge respect!!
His face is so 😎 when he hits these hard power chords.
😆
🤟
🇨🇭
i love how he does these tutorials! incredible musician
So am I the only one who's in love with that copper colored finish on that guitar?
J P - Definitely not 😄
Mark is tearin' it up here! Luvin' it!
Didnt even know about this album.. I clearly have been fucking up.. I will be getting it lol
he already has another album out as well lol, Dust

Mark is amazing. He is a total giver and awesome player!
He is awesome! He is inspiring me all the time, my practice is his solos. Every single technique that i am working on comes from his playing. Good guy and awesome composer!
Thanks! Master!
TREMONSTER! \m/
Thank you Tremonster! Can we have a tutorial for Providence next?
Wow! I love this!
Thank you Mark. U r such an inspiration.

Tremonti is bad ass!
I can understand this. Mark makes it sound easier.
the thing is many fans of Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci and many others haven't heard Mark Tremonti while most Tremonti fans are quite aware of John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert and others
I love this song
Awesome!
my idol
Great!!!!
En ARGENTINA AMAMOS CREED ..I FROM ARGENTINO GRACIAS POR SU HERMOSA MUSICA HERMANO 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶
ahora sí, ha practicarla!
The end is so heavy!!!
Hey Mark you n Slash should do an album together just to see what would come out.
This song is so Bad Ass!!
Great lesson! Love his rhythm tone, great recording here! Tutorial starts at 4:08.
That tone! how is he getting that right now?
Bad ass Pickups, His Mesa Dual Rectifier, and TALENT.
Clearly the mind behind Alter Bridge, no doubt after listening to this song
Actually, Myles is a huge huge part of song writing in AB.
Pimise He and Myles and pretty much 50/50 the mind of Alter Bridge, Brian and Scott (and Elvis of course) give the criticism and some ideas, but these two are on another level when it comes to songwriting, throwing back ideas at eachother. Ok I love this song, I want to learn it, but dude do you expect us to look at you play and then master the song?
Do caralho esse riff 🤘🔥🎸

Great Player !!! \m/
Man when he plays those licks slow, you feel like: i can do this... then he speeds up like times 100 - oh crap.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Honestly enjoy Tremonti sound so much better without lame vocals
wait..... is his shirt inside out? doesnt matter bad ass lesson!
dime core Yes it is. My guess is that he showed up wearing something that they couldn't put in the video for trademark reasons, so they just had him flip it.
The drum cymbals resonnate along with his guitar. Dunno why😆
Wonder why he didn’t play live audio. That’s definitely album version in the beginning
Hi! Does anyone here know how Mark use two amps (Mesa+Bogner) at the same time? In chain or stereo? Thanks!
Nice!!! But is there any tab somewhere???
😍❤️😍
Doesn’t the Phrygian dominant scale have a raised 3rd not 6th?
thicc sound
Did anyone catch his mark v settings?
Awesome video but hes clearly not really playing the song in the opening video. It's the actual song he's just playing along
Is that an orange tiger finish?
What's sort of model of PRS is that?
I can't find on web
Enrico Zurma it looks like Tremonti signature amber model : jelyfingerguitars.com/images/pi_312.jpeg
+Frédéric Vandomme It's a PRS Tremonti in Orange Tiger.
What is the Mark V doing in the back ground??
What are the mark v settings for his rhythm sound ?
His guitar isn't on, though he's playing it through.
When you have such Tuning, does he play the chords according to the that tuning or he plays the chords with the normal names ( standard tuning ) and enjoy the sound in alternate turning,
Wanted to ask cause i want to know the chord names he's using,

Thanks a bunch man.
What is the name of that intro and outro songs ?
Anjith krishnan cauterize
what color or modelo is that prs tremonti?
+Silverstein Winkler It's his Tremonti signature model and it looks like maybe a Black Gold Burst? Not too sure about that though...
Looks like Orange Tiger.
which guitar pick does he uses
he used to use Jazz III's but i'm not sure if he still does. =)
Mikeyprs21 jazz III xls or normal ? & there are many Max grip carbon fiber normal ones primetone ultex
I think on his sound and the story dvd he mentions the normal size, not the XLs (I use the latter myself).
And strings with gauge?
erm, he used to use a mix of a set of 10s and a set of 11s.
Used the 3 high strings from a set of 10s and the 3 low strings from a set of 11s.
One more guy trying to do an original cover
Tremonti is much better than this guy
Anyone know how you can run your fingers up and down the guitar, without slicing your fingers? That's why, I won't learn to play a guitar!
?
Lol you won't slice your finger, especially if you practice a lot
So you avoid learning to play because you don't know if your fingers will get sliced? Well damn, just try it and find out.
Lol you won't slice your fingers the strings are thin but not sharp. If they get in an already open cut though that does hurt pretty bad
If you use piano strings maybe but otherwise ...
Lost me on the solos
Awesome!!!
