@@jmlmjr27 If you look around my RUclips channel i have some free tutorials on mini albums and other projects... they are ALL easy to do. Have fun, its such a relaxing hobby!
Christine...this is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL Recipe Book. There are so many Recipe Books and Recipe Journals out there and by far, this one, is my very favorite. It has everything I've been looking for to make my own Recipe Book and I'm looking forward to your Tutorial coming out. Hard to believe this is your, "First" Recipe Book. Amazing Job! Linda
Overall, an amazing design. I especially like the multiple recipe card holders on the back of the pages. A foodie who hosts many family/holiday dinners, buffets, parties could use a page assembly for each event. Besides food recipes, this could be used for art/crafting "recipes", like knitting/crocheting/embroidery stitches/pictures. Excellent planning for a great project.
+Janet Baker Thanks for your feedback and ideas Janet! You're right about having a page for a particular event - you could have the menu/recipes and photos of the get-together on one page!
I'm new to scrapbooking and am looking for tutorials on how to construct the pages for 3-ring binders. All I've been able to find so far are the use of plastic page protectors that don't allow for the interactive type of pages like what you have. Could you please explain the base that you've used for the pages? This is a great book-I'm thoroughly impressed!
Hi Melanie! I think you'll find scrapping is a rewarding and relaxing hobby. I make all of the base pages for my albums from scratch. The tutorial for this album can be purchased from my website (www.scrappinrabbit.com/2016/01/tutorial-scrapbook-recipe-album.html) or my Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/ca/shop/TheScrappinRabbit
Christine wow what a lovely idea for a recipe book, my head is now churning with ideas on how I could use this for what I need. How easy do you think it would be to change the binding from ring binder to another binding system. I am not keen on ring binders - don't ask!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.
+Elaine McDonald It should be easy to convert! Instead of the base page where you punch holes into the left side, make the base page using 2 pieces of cardstock to form a pocket with openings on the left and right (similar to the 8x8 Interactive Album tutorial you already have). Because the pages are thick (due to the recipe cards on the back), I would probably leave 3/4" as the gusset in between the pages. Because the pages are weighty (again because of the recipe cards on the back) I would probably make the hinges so they measure 3/4" wide instead of 1/2".
+scrappinrabbit Thank you for that Christine, I really do appreciate it. I am just about finished the repositionable album once that is done I will attempt this one, after that I have another repositionable to make for a close friend who found out on Christmas day that she was going to be a grandma for the first time this summer. I have really enjoyed making the repositionable album & am sure I will enjoy making this recipe album too. Take Care
Thank you! I used 65 lb cardstock (Michaels Recollection) but before punching holes I glued strips of scrapbook paper on either side which help strengthen where the holes are punched.
Hi! I purchased the tutorial several months ago and am finally ready to use it. The problem is that I can't find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
+Dumi Kuko Thank you! You're right about the lighting. I don't have access to very good lighting at the best of times and video-ing this in my craft room in the evening = bad idea.
Beautifully creative album Recipe Book. Started creating my own Recipe book.
Tnank you Joanie. There's nothing like a creative hobby to help during these stressful times.

That is a gorgeous recipe book! What weight is the black cardstock?

Can't wait for the tutorial. What dollar store do you get the two sided tape?
+Suzy Wiest I get it at a store called "Dollar Tree" - I'm located in Canada.
always beautiful projects from you but better lighting would have given your artwork justice.

still love all your projects
