This application presented the challenge to arrange very small lightweight parts on pallets to be prepped for processing. Using the modular MotionCell platform featuring a Fanuc M-1iA equipped with several suction cup nozzle tips and an Asyril vibratory parts feeder we were able to rapidly feed and arrange the parts. The vision system mounted above the hopper provides coordinates and rotation of the parts for the robot to pick and place. Once a pallet is full the conveyor automatically indexes the next one in.
