My mom grew up in Linden in the 1920's and 1930's. She said that in the summer they would have contests for the kids. They had magic shows, Shirley Temple look-alike and tap-dancing contests. I hope things can turn around in Linden these days.

I grew up with St Spephens as a kid (mid 80's - I remember that Cleveland ave location and was there when it moved). I use to ride my bicycle there daily back when kids would be outside all day and came home when the street lights came on. Linden is my childhood neighborhood until I moved to Washington DC. Great memories but I was surprised at the description of my hood! I will tell you that my generation had a lot of success stories.

I was more interested in learning about the history of Linden, instead of learning about how desolate the area is.

We rehabbed houses there.they live live animals, they poop in buckets and keep them inside,so their sewer bill is low, heat the places with ovens.now that we moved to Florida,it's pretty funny now.

Transportation folks in Columbus appears to be WORK-SHY!! They should have built light rail system throughout the metropolitan cities long time ago! Cities Like Seattle, though less in population have erected pillars throughout cities on which light rail run transportation is abundant. mono rail, express buses. light rail you name it!!. Even Charlotte NC has a light rail system!! Columbus Transportation office workers, please wake up and do for Columbus what it deserves__Build light rail system that connects Columbus with Hilliard, Powell, upper Arlington, even cities further like Grove city, Channel Winchester etc..............It is high time!!

Sad that the kids @ Saint Stephens are learning about the history and culture of France and not their own. They already get enough of that bs during the regular school year. This program should be Afrocentric. Especially since half of the kids over here are first generation children of African parents

@@finddeniro upper Arlington in my opinion. I deliver and am all around Columbus all year I'd say linden/hilltops worst, Worthington/upper ar/and Grove city by buckeye parkway are the nicest. I'd say bexley but the bad parts cancel out the good parts
