It use to be that code enforcement officers were only permitted to write up orders on the complaint that was filed by an individual. For instance if the house next door to the house that the code enforcement complaint was made on was falling apart, the code enforcement officer could not write up orders on it. This was in the late 80's and probably was still in effect in the 90's.
@@sergiogarcia7171 That's entirely up to an individual to decide once they understand what the job entails. I have two friends who are code enforcement officers, one that is retired. They both enjoy their jobs.
