My Steel String Singer from Amplified Nation is hands-down the best amplifier I've ever played. It will easily shake the room and still retain it's clarity and articulation. It has great depth of character and almost produces a 'high definition' level to your sound. Obviously, I couldn't be happier - great job Taylor!
Do you play through both together? I've got a 100w SSS I use as my clean chanell, play through a PRS HDRX as my fuzz chanell, and a deluze reverb as a heavily reverbered channel with a bit of overdrive. Its a great sound, but I can't make up my mind whether to upgrade the HDRX to a WOD or maybe amplifonix and gain or really any of the others. Front runner is the WOD.
Congrats to AN!!! Awesome to see them in Sweetwater. Taylor makes some amazing amps! Congrats Taylor what a huge get. These amps are special and are packed with everything you could ever need in a amp.
I have been using the Steel String Singer every day for a year , recorded an album with it . The best clean tone and pedal platform -Cheers Baritone Cult ⭕️
RJ is someone special. If anyone can demonstrate these great amplifiers, he can My Favorite amps: Steel String Singer and Trem Drive Deluxe. Great recording and tones!
I have a 100w overdrive reverb from amp nation. Custom ordered new in 2022. It is a good sounding amp but I find that it doesn’t take certain gain pedals as well as my Victory v140. That said I love plugging straight in to this amp. I had 2 issues with my amp that Taylor graciously fixed. My only complaint was I requested a silver amp chassis but it ultimately came with the black powder-coated chassis. It is currently with my amp tech getting fresh tubes & getting the grill cloth changed to Vox style brown diamond on head & cab. I cant wait to get it back. I really want to get a SSS &/or the ampliphonix & gain for a wet/dry/wet set up. Also really want a Germino marshall style head
Surprised he didn't mention getting the Mayer sound since the Wonderland OD clean channel is supposedly very close to his Two Rock signature circuit unless it's been changed in the V2
I found bogner to have a nice tight but creamy distortion, but not up front. It is dirty but allows the cleans to come thru. These Amps sound good. Dirty wonderland
They’ll save you a couple bucks vs a Two-Rock, but doesn’t seem to have the sparkle or sing quite as well. Would have to try them in person to really see how they sound.
Amps sound great, though I'd still have analysis paralysis in choosing! However at my talent level, I couldn't do the amps justice. How great it would be just to plug straight in with nothing else in the signal path!!! One question though, when you talk home or bedroom levels, what kind of decibels are we talking exactly where you can get that great tone? @RJRonquillo playing....just WOW....nuff said!!!
None of those sounded great to my ear. And, I did not hear Robben Ford tones in the one that's supposed to be similar to his Dumble. But, to each, his own.
i played a dirty wonderland at sweetwater today. it was amazing. bought it, driving home now- you know it’s a good amp when quite literally everyone who passed me would say something or the other about how good it sounds
It’s a shame Sweetwater couldn’t record these amps. Great player, brilliant amps and Sweetwater has them sounding like sour milk. Everything I’ve ordered from amplified nation as been hands down the BEST. This is a great model review but find other videos to sample the tones. Amplified Nation for president.
Wow that seems crazy, if was going to drop 5 grand on an amp I really like these. What’s your holy grail? Robbin ford? I have a friend who’s a vanhalen nut and has all the top vh gear and when I play it it’s like I’m trying to play a screaming baby. Works for Eddie.
Why are you changing the names of your flagship amps???? Overdrive Reverb is now called the Phoenix Fury and the Steel String Singer is now the Six String Sustain?? I can’t even imagine telling people I play a Phoenix Fury 👎. I’d rather tell people I play Line 6 Spider 2.
Having used a real dumble, I don’t think you’d like that either. Watch the whole video, this is it. Different preferences for different ears. Some people paint their cars lime green and think it looks good.
I Love all these amps.. but this guitar player really doesn’t know how to showcase them. He’s the guitar player amplified nation uses for their website too. I dunno what it is.. he’s a good player. He just misses the mark completely in showing us what these amps are capable of... If I had only ever watched this guitar players amp demos I NEVER would have been convinced. Look up other players messing with them to get a better idea of what they can sound like.
They sound great but...these are just more ridiculously high priced amps which IMO, do not sound any better than a Fender blues jr., Fender De Ville 410 or a Fender Bass-man amp. Just my 2 cents worth. Peace.
Here we have Kramer who appropriated the work of a genius, took the look, the model names and the circuits and somehow made them all sound like cheap pc board solid state pedals. Such a dishonor to Dumble's legacy. Not even RJ could save them. How is this happening.... Just shameful.
Dude seriously? #1. Alexander Dumble is gone #2. Amplified Nation has been hand building these custom styles of amps for years #3 They put their own flavors in them so they're not 1 to 1 clones.. So please spare everyone your contrived outrage and unhinged rantings with terrible Kramer comparisons. Smh
@@mrredritehand #1 Yes Dumble is gone... Do you know what legacy means? #2 Do you mean custom colors? These are out of my price range. But priced accordingly I guess for custom hand built 'Dumble style' amplifiers. Especially compared to the real deal, which just isn't attainable for laymen like me and many others. Kramer from Seinfeld? No resemblance imo sorry.
@@actionjacksondan That's what people who jump on bandwagons do... Think Limp Bizkit, Creed, Nickelback, etc... Ask yourself who those people are? Likely blues lawyers. Their reviews are a descriptive one word... "amazing" Then 3 months later they're selling it because they're not using it much.

Steel String Singer
Sweetwater is really trying to get more builders in the boutique market to their selection. I like it!

It has great depth of character and almost produces a 'high definition' level to your sound. Obviously, I couldn't be happier - great job Taylor!
Bought a wonderland overdrive from Taylor personally. Had a great conversation with him, great guy, awesome amp! Highly recommend.
Congrats on getting your fantastic amps into Sweetwater Taylor!
Cool to see RJ here.
Congratulations Taylor. My 100-watt SSS and 50-watt WOD are pretty much on all day long. No wonder my office is so warm!

Thx bro
Nothing beats a well-built D-style amp. Amplified Nation kills it.
I have been using the Steel String Singer every day for a year , recorded an album with it . The best clean tone and pedal platform -Cheers Baritone Cult ⭕️
RJ's playing, as usual, is fantastic. How does he not have a signature guitar?
Very informative video. It's nice to know exactly which model I'll never be able to afford

Finally! I was hoping I'd see this one day!

These are the best sounding amps I've ever heard in person. They also look great. And believe it or not, they SMELL great, too!
Taylor is the man… I’ve owned 3 Amplified Nation amps and they are all just wonderful
hard to pick only one !!!!!!! lol specially with RJ playing those riffs!!!
Absolutely great amps! If I didn't already have my Wonderland I'd 100% get it from y'all...
Great to see RJ!
Surprised he didn't mention getting the Mayer sound since the Wonderland OD clean channel is supposedly very close to his Two Rock signature circuit unless it's been changed in the V2
Nice playing, RJ!
I want to make the 2,287 mile pilgrimage to Sweetwater someday
The hardest decision is not if, but which. One day!!!
that decision was easy for me, the SSS, but then, the decision for which to add as a second dirty channel, with the SSS as the clean, is not easy.
Dirty Wonderland is my fav here
16:26 I’m not sure if Mitch is talking about the amp anymore here 😂
I found bogner to have a nice tight but creamy distortion, but not up front. It is dirty but allows the cleans to come thru. These Amps sound good. Dirty wonderland
I’m going to buy another one! Love these amps
They’ll save you a couple bucks vs a Two-Rock, but doesn’t seem to have the sparkle or sing quite as well. Would have to try them in person to really see how they sound.
Just amazing amps
that guy is such a genius.....
Perfect timing! I'm looking for an amp and really needed a video like this!
Orange OR15. About $500 used. That’s all you need.
Was just on the Amplified Nation website and couldn't find an Overdrive Reverb. Did they discontinue it?
It’s now called the Phoenix Fury
@@glennsebastian518 I want the old name back :(
Will the Steal String amp change the oil in my car as well?
No...... but it won't "steal" your strings.
I want all of them, please.

I have the 50w overdrive reverb and it’s the best for bedroom playing because of the controls on the back. Absolutely fun playing and sounding amp!
Awesome!!!❤❤💯💯
Any way I can just buy RJ's skills instead?
Not fair using RJ b/c he can make a sow's ear sound like a million bucks :)
Wow this is exciting!
As a total newbie player…I wouldn’t know where to begin fiddling with nobs. 🧐
RJ is the best for these amps !
Love these amps! Just hoping there’s a UK dealer in the near future?
Just buy direct
Yes got that thanks but then there’s the eye watering high import taxes (sigh)
The Uk distributor will add 60% reatail markup + VAT. ...so cheaper to import direct. Hope this helps.
Thanks for clarifying! Managed to snag a pre-owned 50w Wonderland Overdrive V2 over here & it’s awesome!
Pricey amps but certainly cool
2:32 The Steel String Singer doesn't sound very good it sounds thin @ 3:05 is sounds like mud!
Great to see someone finally trying to cover the SRV tone, if only someone could make a klon clone we’d be set!
That’s coming right after the tubescreamer clone
I didn’t hear anyone say “Dumble”.
He sure did. 13:49 - Bombshell Overdrive "closest thing to the Overdrive Special by Howard Dumble"
Want a solid state for the home.
I wouldn’t buy one of them unless I got famous, and had money

I'll stick with my Marshall 50 watt origin!
I played the steel stringer .. was super underwhelming a Peavey classic 20 mh head blows it away .
The tone on that opening intro told us all we need to know.... It's not worth it

What are you listening to it, on? Are you dumb enough to make that judgment via RUclips on your phone?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Dumble tone", if anything was totally overhyped and overpriced, that would it be it 😂😂
You really gotta be extremely "DUMBle" to pay Dumble prices 😂😂
None of them even sounded like a dumble so his comment was laughable at best

This is exactly what I was thinking to myself while watching this. Other players make these so sound way better than this.
Too many models to many sound the same or too similar.
