-----------------------------------------------------------------
This hammer drill driver kit has to be one of the best compact drill kits we have tested in a very long time. Price vs quality, power, and warranty is amazing. There are very few professional-grade tools you can get in a kit for $170 and have a lifetime warranty and more power than what you would need.
As a brand, Metabo HPT is underrated and looked over. If you want some great tools and amazing prices with a lifetime warranty, look no further. This is the brand to be in. - Хобби
Your rëviews always contain info that isn't available anywhere else. I've never seen another reviewer show the chuck wobble, yet it's a very important aspect of any drill. Thanks for the vijeo.
Right? And all of the cordless drills out there have terrible runout these days...yet nobody reviews it! So nice to see someone actually address this terrible quality issue.
I've never understood this. It's quite bizarre because widely used drill bits like carbide holesaws, large-diameter step bits, or - worst of all - fostner bits are 100% guaranteed to destroy the bit, bend the drill shaft, and provide enough reactive impulse and shrapnel to break fringers/wrists and penetrate skin, if they are used in a portable drill with excessive runout.
The most underrated tool company out there in my opinion it's the best Large tools have better feathere's then any other tool company
Quite the bastardization of the word 'features' you got there.

Much respect WSA!!! I am the only one at my workplace who uses Metabo hpt. In a sea of red yellow and blue I find my tools work on par with those other brands. I always look forward to your reviews!! Awesome work!!
Adding the larger multi volt battery to that sub compact really brings it alive.
🤘🤘🤘
So impressive! I've been surprised at how these newest tools are performing so great. And nice tool review, keep it up.
I've been very impressed with the newest Metabo HPT releases. The company has me reviewing some tools for them as well (not on a RUclips channel) and I've been surprised at how these newest tools are out performing my yellow tools. I can also tell that Metabo HPT really wants to hear from their customers and get honest feedback to improve their tools. I'm hoping that they'll come out with a new U.S.A. version jigsaw soon.
Great tools no doubt. I would also like a new cordless jigsaw along with a cordless drywall screw gun.
Check out the new belt sander
And full size 36V router
Awesome tools
Let’s hope they keep up their ‘momentum!?’ A jigsaw would be cool! And an update to their fiddly multi tool? Peace
I feel like Bosch and Metabo HPT do not get the respect they deserve.
It's because people are impressionable. Everyone uses Milwaukee and Dewalt.
It's also much easier to find those brands and the deals are constant.
I was a Milwaukee guy for almost 15 years. They still make decent tools but they feel so cheap now. Especially compared to Metabo HPT.
@@PR-xh3nj Lowes should carry more of their pro 36V tools
The battery replacement need to be considered, Bosch battery are reasonable price
I use Bosch love the robust quality they're not the fastest but they'll get you there
@@bluemantom77 Bosch won't win any power awards but they do in reliability and construction.
Thanks Brian, ordered mine today along with a 18 volt WH18DC impact driver. I was seriously im pressed with the quality of both and how they felt in the hand. A real step above the competition in quality. They just felt awesome so had to have them over the Dewalt dcd805 and dcf850
Wait until you get your hands on the DV18DC it's an absolute torque monster. My testing has it head to head with the previous 36v hammer drill.
I love metabo hpt. Thank you for covering them!
Metabo HPT tools are great. I’m a glazier and i use my 1/2” hammer drill & my 1/4” triple impact drill all the times to install framed/frameless showers, & exchange windows. The Metabo brand is underrated like you mentioned in your video. Metabo HPT is the future.!😉💯
Indeed! Maybe they could use some good marketing?
Thanks man. I just got into glazing and I’m glad to hear your opinion.
Nice! I am slowly building up my Metabo htp tools!
Great video. I am a Metabo HPT fan and enjoy someone giving them some love. They make very good tools with little to no advertising or much backing from big box stores. Most of the other tool channels are in love with the red and yellow tools, they have great tools but at a hell of a lot more $.
Heck yeah
Man that drill was impressive! If I had to switch brands I'd go from my dewalt to metabo HPT without a doubt. They're good tools and priced well
🇲🇽Also as u said, metabo god tools don't get the recognition that deserves 😢 and that hurts me in heart cause the tools hpt line are the best I've seen, I fell in love every time u make a review of those metabo tools, 🔥 fantastic job 🔥 and last thing I gat to say is well done🔥 I keep seeing u from Mexico 🇲🇽
Big Metabo hpt guy use them everyday for work very strong love the triple hammer also
I’ve just got this and paired it with a WH18DC triple hammer. My favorite top quality compact pairing . Great deal on both too at Acme tools
Love my green tools. Still hoping for an updated oscillating multi-tool and a TRACK SAW?! 🤞🙂
Nice Brian.. she's a BEAST 🫡
Metabo 18v stuff is rowdy as hell. Gets it done flawlessly and I like their use of the metal keyless chucks. I never liked the soft sided or plastic lock collars for the keyless chucks.
The chuck on my non hammer 18v was .003" once I took it off and indicated it in. Was only about 5 thousanths out the box.
Its held up really nice.
Rarely even gets used with the 18v packs, the 36v battery packs are the shizzle
Right you are Sir! 😃
There's some new tools like the right angle still the new vacuum and the new oscillating tool, definitely would like your review on those
I own about 12 Metabo tools. Very good tools.
Like it. Just stArted to get some of their tools. Like the weight, power, and prices especially with their promotions!😁
Very impressive
💚 Best tools out there.
Metabo hpt is definitely under rated....I have a pretty full range of dewalt and metabo hpt stuff. If I could only have one brand, it would be the dewalt, but it would be very very close.
I have mostly metabo HPT/ hikoki and makita tools. Thr metabo hpt tools are best tools per dollar spent . They often come with a free battery on promotional offerings and come in a little cheaper then other brands. the lifetime warranty is worth buying them alone
Got a metabo hot grinder and it been through hell black inside and out and still runs like a beast used DeWalts but it dies after it's motor get covered in anything but hot grinder is still going stromg but parts r hard to find unless newest model
Got the 36v on clearance 2 years ago and wont look back.
This is some great foreplay for the DV36DC which is their new hammer drill from hikoki it’s got the auto level feature for straight holes as well as recoil management the handle is adjustable to 11 positions and it’s looking like a great new flagship model alongside the c3606db Circ saw
The C3606DB circular saw is a great saw I like mine. I just got it 3 weeks ago but I love the 3605 better it's a 5-in blade 7000 RPM and it's a little demon
UNDerrated with a capital UND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wish Brian wouldn’t cover up them dar vent openings! It makes me cringe! 😯😳🙄😃😂
Great testing and Review as always. LUV me my Metabo HPT’s. I know it’s been awhile, but thanks to Brian, I was able to score two of the BIG MultiVolt batteries, on that Rebate deal! Thanks again! 👍
Have they made any changes to the ‘sloppy’ FWD/ REV switch? That ( along with no battery gauges on ( batteries ). was my main beef with their drills. It is curious as they switch works just fine on the Triple Hammer impacts. I would love to pick one of these up, if I didn’t already have two 36 Volt drills, and two of the 18 volt drills, in addition to two impacts! I have been trying to sell a couple, as they are extras, that I purchased on clearance, just to get the batteries. 😃
Stay safe and well! Lots great comments in here! Peace!
Can you talk about how RFC works on the Metabo HPT? Because it sounds like it's an anti kickback mechanism, but Metabo HPT doesn't seem to have a clear definition on how it works
How did it plow through wuth the bor bit but fail with the spade bits
I got a question in my mind, can it be used with the MV adapter? Cause if it be possible this tool can easily get in my top😮
2000rpm on a compact? Nice! I want one
Wow, so solids...I see
My last Matebo cordless hammer drill lasted 15 years...or was it longer... Anyway the HPT was my choice
3:27 Now that's a gangsta grip.
Great video, but to be fair on power stats
The dcd800 is 90nm (797 inch pd)
The metabo 70nm (620 inch pd)
That's a fair chunk of go go...
However lifetime Warranty is next level and something for the other colors to aspire to.
Thanks WSA
The DCD794 and DCD799 Atomic series show that gap in todays videos.
And so is the IP rating. Not sure if this hammer drill had one, but my Metabo HPT impact wrench does.
@@WorkshopAddict do you feel this drill is louder than others? Got mine today and I gotta wear hearing protection
Nice
I like Metabo HPT. They are very high quailty tools. I just wish Lowe’s or Metabo did a better job of marketing and advertising and keeping decent stock of their lineup. Wish other big box retailers would sell metabo because they are truely better than most other prosumer crap out there.
All the prosumer And most of the pro companies as well tbh their tools are rock solid it’s their marketing and corporate strategy that slows their growth on the US market. Hell any new hikoki tool we have to wait damn near a year to get stateside unless ordering directly from Japan
@@Jeff-rk8hq Yup I agree. The Metabo hpt lineup in the U.S lacks a lot. I’m glad it’s available but very hard choose them over another domestic brand like Dewalt or Milwaukee or and a popular Japanese brand like Makita. I hope they are able to improve their U.S market and be able to provide us with fresh tools
ACME always releases the newest tools and keeps em in stock
@@johnsalcido5436 check ACME tools
They have their full lineup
@@baseballdude8491 ya but they don’t have all the hikoki tools we never have even had a barrel grip available or any ope and it’s there that’s the thing it’s already made just has to be decided if said tools are worth shipping rebranding etc and that just sucks because mhpt could be formidable with the multivolt line ever expanding they could take a good market share i love the warranty and customer service there too man nothing but positive things to say
I got the combo kit for 199 today
Can I justify another hammer drill
MHPT' has gave me every reason to switch out many of my daily tools on jobsite and shop replacing many of my Milwaukee, Makita and a few yellows
Best bag for buck
Lowes is walking away from Metabo.... hard to get the Metabo tool line. Maybe Metabo can get additional distributors like Ace or Menards?
Great review. Another tool that I want but don’t need. Too late, already placed the order.
Let the bits feed themselves 😮
After seeing the dcd799, which one would you take?
Well, the dcd799 costs 150 bare tool and the metabo hpt costs 180 with two batteries and a charger. So it comes down to what I need the drill for. If I needed a overly powerful drill for my job that was very small and I had zero fear of straining my wrist, I would take the dcd799. But if I wanted a compact drill and had reasonable expectations for it, I would buy the metabo hpt and get the batteries and the lifetime warranty. Do you need, or want, the power? Do you have large sums of money to spend getting the best of the best? What is the task at hand? Lots go into the answer to your question. Both are very comfortable and I would work with either all day. The Metabo would be chosen 90 percent of the time because the power matches the job and the price and warranty is better.
@@WorkshopAddict thanks!
Yeah, 150$ is way too much for that drill.
I guess i would get the dcd805 for that price.
it's actually hikoki. I don't understand why they sell it in your country as metabo. European metabo is a shelf higher
I felt that pain
3:22
Low sounds, high powers.pretty's grips.nice designs, beautiful 's colors... cute's brands ,. Me ta bo
Small sizes, of high powers battery's...wins , my money 's
Holding all that tools vents doesn't help.
Usually, Metabo lacks power in competition even with Makita. Especially their saws suck. And the reliability is not so high.
ouch, it kicks like a mule, like the old Milwaukee 2840. No thanks. Also, where's the side handle?
9:34 To me this is its downfall, that way you hold it and it can switch modes in use. No, definitely a no go. If only they had it built so you can hold on to it without any interference with the modes, then it would be legendary. But as is, so sad, have to pass.
Dewalt is an notorious wabbler
I just picked up a second kit (already had one) for $129 + tax … (drill hammer, triple impact, charger, (2) 3aHr batteries !!!
