    DV18DEX - acmetools.pxf.io/4P5RM9
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    This hammer drill driver kit has to be one of the best compact drill kits we have tested in a very long time. Price vs quality, power, and warranty is amazing. There are very few professional-grade tools you can get in a kit for $170 and have a lifetime warranty and more power than what you would need.
    As a brand, Metabo HPT is underrated and looked over. If you want some great tools and amazing prices with a lifetime warranty, look no further. This is the brand to be in.

    Your rëviews always contain info that isn't available anywhere else. I've never seen another reviewer show the chuck wobble, yet it's a very important aspect of any drill. Thanks for the vijeo.

      Right? And all of the cordless drills out there have terrible runout these days...yet nobody reviews it! So nice to see someone actually address this terrible quality issue.

    • @thefreeaccount0
      @thefreeaccount0 4 месяца назад

      I've never understood this. It's quite bizarre because widely used drill bits like carbide holesaws, large-diameter step bits, or - worst of all - fostner bits are 100% guaranteed to destroy the bit, bend the drill shaft, and provide enough reactive impulse and shrapnel to break fringers/wrists and penetrate skin, if they are used in a portable drill with excessive runout.

    I've been very impressed with the newest Metabo HPT releases. The company has me reviewing some tools for them as well (not on a RUclips channel) and I've been surprised at how these newest tools are out performing my yellow tools. I can also tell that Metabo HPT really wants to hear from their customers and get honest feedback to improve their tools. I'm hoping that they'll come out with a new U.S.A. version jigsaw soon.

    Metabo 18v stuff is rowdy as hell. Gets it done flawlessly and I like their use of the metal keyless chucks. I never liked the soft sided or plastic lock collars for the keyless chucks.
    The chuck on my non hammer 18v was .003" once I took it off and indicated it in. Was only about 5 thousanths out the box.
    Its held up really nice.
    Rarely even gets used with the 18v packs, the 36v battery packs are the shizzle

    Great testing and Review as always. LUV me my Metabo HPT’s. I know it’s been awhile, but thanks to Brian, I was able to score two of the BIG MultiVolt batteries, on that Rebate deal! Thanks again! 👍
    Have they made any changes to the ‘sloppy’ FWD/ REV switch? That ( along with no battery gauges on ( batteries ). was my main beef with their drills. It is curious as they switch works just fine on the Triple Hammer impacts. I would love to pick one of these up, if I didn’t already have two 36 Volt drills, and two of the 18 volt drills, in addition to two impacts! I have been trying to sell a couple, as they are extras, that I purchased on clearance, just to get the batteries. 😃
    Stay safe and well! Lots great comments in here! Peace!

    After seeing the dcd799, which one would you take?

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  Год назад +3

      Well, the dcd799 costs 150 bare tool and the metabo hpt costs 180 with two batteries and a charger. So it comes down to what I need the drill for. If I needed a overly powerful drill for my job that was very small and I had zero fear of straining my wrist, I would take the dcd799. But if I wanted a compact drill and had reasonable expectations for it, I would buy the metabo hpt and get the batteries and the lifetime warranty. Do you need, or want, the power? Do you have large sums of money to spend getting the best of the best? What is the task at hand? Lots go into the answer to your question. Both are very comfortable and I would work with either all day. The Metabo would be chosen 90 percent of the time because the power matches the job and the price and warranty is better.
