Incredibly rich warm tone and harmonic overtones! Your soft chording really demonstrates that well. Everyone seems to like to show off their chops in demos but I wanna hear those sustained chords ringing through the soundhole!
Epic tone...awesome sound, so pure. The haters on here are hilarious. "Out of tune" "marketing hype". Please guys, have you played a lot of these old beauties? They can have an awesome vibe, they can sound incredibly rich compared to a newer guitar, and there's just a feel to the whole instrument that only comes with age and play time. It's like talking to an old timer that has lived through some shit and has felt the depth, beauty and pain of their lifetime. It's experience speaking through the unique voice of these vintage instruments. There just might be a legitimate reason so many of the best players on earth seek these vintage guitars out and use them for recordings and performances. Are you also critical of vintage violins that can cost millions of dollars based on provenance, tone, and playability? Anyway, despite being barely out of tune, possibly due to the initial bluesy string bending, this guitar sounds absolutely incredible.
People hating are ones that can't afford it so bash it. I can't afford it, but would never bash. I would just admit it's a monster that I wish I had. Some guy just said Yamahas blow away vintage Martins lol
You know what's really sad...few if any of us can even live long enough for a guitar to get to the maturity of this delectable piece. I'm salivating badly, but even stimulus won't make a dent in my ability to buy this. Wah!
It plays out of tune because it isn’t in tune, first chord he played I was disappointed. Tune the thing before you play it man! Not a problem with the guitar, operator error.
I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but after 35 years of playing guitar, I have absolutely ZERO interest in a vintage Martin. Also, I could give 2 F's about George Gruhn. Marketing hype is real, folks. I don't drink the kool-aide. Sorry, not sorry. 🐰💜🎸🎶🤝✌
I don't hate your reply, and I don't hate that you don't "drink the kool-aide" -- to each their own! 🙏 However, if you want the sound of a vintage Martin, your only option is to buy a vintage Martin. I tend to think that any great acoustic artist who had the money would want one, given their superior resonance, range of overtones, etc.
Vintage Martin is all I'll buy when it comes to dreads honeslty. Even a mid 60s Martin d28 can sound absolutely outstanding. And saying old wood aged doesn't sound different is ridiculous. Now I love some of the new authentics, but I'm starting to get over FS authentic bracing for Dreads. With a 000, sure, I'll take the modern Martin 000-28 Custom Authentic 1937. It's perfect. And the first FS Martin 000 since the 30s. I it's a monster. But dreads, idk. I've heard some 60s D28s that beat modern Martins at their own game, with different bracing. It's nuts If you want the sound of a vintage Martin, there's only one way to get it. It's that simple. We can argue what you think is better all day. But you will never get that sound without buying a vintage Martin. There's nothing cool aid about a vintage Martin. There's a reason they are the standard and were copied by everyone. Also wtf does Gruhn have to do with this? You talking sinker? Martin isn't the only one using sinker. It's definitely got something different. If you don't like it that's fine. But it definitely does People saying Yamahas are better are people convincing themselves they are because they didn't want to spend money. You love your guitar, that's fine, but don't hate on some of the best guitars ever made
Nothing sounds like a vintage Martin.
magnificent , got to play one years ago .. they are truely the holy grail

Loved how you were just feeling it talk or sing to you at first. Heck of a guitar!
Beautiful guitar, and great playing

Try Yamaha's A.R.E. guitars.
I can dream of another lifetime to play it and two to pay for it
EC likes em. So does Mathias Jabs. The latter said you can do anything on them.
Sounds like it should!! Pre what war?
Pre ww2
Pre ww2 Gibson Martin are considered golden years .basically the 1930’s , lightweight well built had their pick of old growth wood
RUclips dishin’ out little mojo biscuits tonight!! Whew
😎👌♥️
Price? One meeeeeeeleon dollars
it plays out of tune. with a compensated nut it would play in tune within one cent. shelf nut from earvana.com works for me.

you are telling the truth dude!
Same here. Yamaha makes better guitars and does well with their A.R.E. lineup even better than Martin or Gibson.

@@osamabinladen824Yamaha does not make better guitars than Martin bro. No way, no how
I wish the 000’s sounded like the dreadnoughts because for me they are fun to play!🎸🤯🔫
