Ashiwaza has always been my favorite category of tachiwaza in judo. Deashi harai always comes natural to me and good for my height. Thanks for another great video professor. 🥋🤙🏾🙌🏾

I love those sweeps, especially the second one: I was wondering which were your preferred grips when performing it. Thanks!

Thanks for the tips mate. I particularly like the second technique and the approach to coaching it - as you say, it's a foot sweep so worry about your feet first! I'm definitely guilty of worrying about the hands too much. I'd appreciate details on the grips. Either isolating it as you did with the feet in this video or combining it with what you have here. Thanks.

The hands are a much bigger topic because each position has to be treated a little differently. But maybe I can do a few of them.

Very very useful techq. I use it for set up others! Hikite hand does the job after the turn and before sweep the opponent's foot by pushing it into his body... he starts to fly 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thanks very much for this, Travis. I have a question.
Would you suggest using a broomstick to practice this if one wants to do practice outside the dojo (i.e., without a partner)?

Should the opponents weight distribution be on the foot you are sweeping?

Getting use to moving the right way is something to think about ive been doing judo off and on for a couple of years and in recent months we are working on footsweeps and its a lot of fun and its easier than some other throws but getting use to or maybe letting repition sink in to move the right way at the right time ,

I would like to see the partner go down. That would show how affective the foot sweep is.
